Eri starts weaving a spell. It looks like he suddenly got too drunk when he sways and hops and spins, ending with a flourish that is obscene that is guttural, that is fecal. He casts and a swarm of monkeys descends on our indignant tail-wagger

Mortimer finishes Smoughed Fire-Foe with one fell fist. Ascaria covers everyone except Eri in Fire Protection, and heals everyone. Eidi releases Eri from his paralysis. Solrisa moves forward to confront the Earl, her feet in flight. Eri produces a barrel of monkeys, hoping to pluck the Longspear from the Earl's hand again. The monkeys have other ideas.

Mort burns, and doesn't. 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8 damage towards the total protection, plus the 2d6 + 15 ⇒ (2, 4) + 15 = 21 fire damage as Mortimer continues to stand in the middle of the wall...

Eidi and Ascaria receive 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 fire damage for their proximity to the Wall of Fire, while Eri endures only 1d4 ⇒ 4 fire damage for being further than 10' from the wall.

The doors behind Eri lazily open, and a huge spider stares through the doorway, its several eyes regarding the lay of the land, as it were. It speaks. "Really, Antyress. You're all bluster, if you can't back it up. Already laying down your fire, stepping out of your comfort zone. Let them come to you. That is the way you treat prey. Like this."

The huge creature sticks its fangs forward, and Eri is bitten!

Eidi covers with his hand from the heat of the wall, happy that Ascaria's spell protects him from the flames. The half-elf turns around the corner, observing Eri's ill position "You are not taking this pray today"

Placing one of his hands on Eri's back, he touches with the back of his other arm Ascaria "Came you two with me!", then if the spider has no teleportation abilities to Eidi's knowledge, he uses dimension door to move all to the other side of the wall of fire. Exactly to were he last saw Solrisa's back.
Eri and Ascaria can move to the side of Eidi. If Eri is helpless I think he automatically qualifies as willing

Eidi:

Oooo that Shadow Walk at will, that's a special ability. Dim light is all that's required to slip into the Plane of Shadow. Eri is a very lucky man; another moment, and spider and man might have disappeared, for something more intimate, secluded...

Mortimer strikes twice, drawing the Earl's attention, though it is entirely negative. Ascaria decides to heal yet again, not surprisingly. Eidi engages powerful magic to ensure that the gnome and archer and he are nowhere near the new guest. Solrisa lands a powerful blow, digging deeply into the salamander's heated hide, then another, less powerful one. Eri renews his imitation of a statue, courtesy of the venom working its way through his system.

Antyress deals with the barrel of monkeys unleashed by the archer.

The Earl seems deeply displeased about his being surrounded. He storms past Mortimer, joining Flycatcher in the next room. Provokes an AoO from Mortimer. He turns around and readies his spear. The spider is hanging from the ceiling, allowing enough space, though tight, for the salamander to stand, though it does look more like crouching. As if the Earl is himself a little repulsed by the spider...

Flycatcher studies Mortimer and Solrisa through the flames. "One of them is burning, four of them have treaded into your room, though one of them is flying. What to do, what to do..."

The floor is coated with silky threads that begin to congeal and slime the area. It even coats the statue and its gleaming sword. Mortimer finds himself the sole stander in the blast zone. Mortimer, a Reflex Save DC 20, or fall prone. The silk is performing as a Grease spell. Walking through the Intersection now requires a Acrobatics DC 10 check in order to walk at half speed. Failure, and you can't move.
Failure by 5 or more, and you fall prone.

With the tip of his fingers he touches one of the paralized's man clothing leather strips that automatically consumes as the half-elf releases the power of a freedom of movement spell "This should stop this continuous paralysis loop"

Mortimer looks at the web, confident that through it he can navigate safely. Used to seeing longspears and paint brushes fly past his line of sight, he's completely floored when he sees Ascaria and Eri disappear from line of sight, only to hear Eidi and see Eri behind him.

He strides into the forge toward his friends and says "Maybe we should, uh -- regroup here."

Ascaria feels momentarily dizzy as the room spins and shifts. He grins as he sees the salamander flee the fight and frowns again with the webbing. I wonder if this will work?

”Join me friends!” Ascaria shouts as he casts Air Walk Communal (22minutes). He moves around touching everyone in turn (though it doesn’t help Eri much at the present moment).

Solrisa floats forward through the wall, stopping when she sees the spider. She looks at them with her Dragon's Eyes. This round will determine the presence of evil.

"Oh hullo, Spider. This SalamandEarl was caught trying to be tricksy and then lied. Lying is bad. Are you also bad?" Solrisa asks, knowing that she'll know the answer in a moment.

She continues to float majestically and has no fear of fire slug nor overgrown spider.

The Intersection has a ceiling 20' high, and your Knowledge roll only gave you the insight of the initial spoiler.

Mortimer takes the opportunity to punch the withdrawing Earl, before encouraging the others to regroup. Ascaria provides everyone a touch of Air Walk, now that the floor has been called into question. Eidi liberates the party's statue, giving him Freedom to Move. Solrisa eyes one of the spider's many eyes, seeking its substance. She receives her answer immediately. Eri GMPC watches as his mad monkeys plunge through the Wall of Fire, giving chase. They burn up and out in a flash, per GM fiat, plaguing the salamander no more. He decides to wait and watch to see what the party chooses to do next, moving his arms to and fro as the half-elf's magic suppresses the poison's desire to seize up each and every muscle in his body.

The spider and salamander gone, the party is left to traverse a room interesting in its own right. This two-tiered hall shines with dim, purple light from four large chandeliers. A large black sphere hangs between them. The chandeliers seem to be sculpted with small humanoid figures in silvery metal. A second-floor gallery with arches and spiral-striped pillars runs the length of the hallway to a second set of large double doors.

The black tile floor absorbs the light from the chandeliers, and even sound in this chamber seems muted and dull. The chandelier lights seem to intensify as you near them.

Knowledge(Arcana) DC25:

The central black sphere hanging from the ceiling bears a symbol, which represents an ancient Elemental Lord, Bwimb, a great and cruel general of the Para-Elemental Plane of Ooze.

Combat is effectively over, for now. Moving us down below, as the majority has spoken.

Running up the stairs to the second-floor gallery, the group heads to the southern double doors, which stand open in the wake of the Earl's retreat, likely.

A ten-foot wide hallway heads south, then east, and downwards...

The hallway resonates with your footsteps, which seems new, as you leave a muted room for an acoustic one. The hallway comes to end after what feels like over one hundred feet.

This rectangular room has small columns around the edges that partially hide the carvings along the walls. Pale white light glows from two large wheel-shaped chandeliers, casting overlapping shadows throughout the room. Blue metal double doors stand at the top of a flight of stairs opposite the main entrance, guarded by two warrior figures with raised double swords, as well as a single doorway to the south and double doors to the north, also guarded by warrior statues.

No sign of Antyress. Well, that's not entirely true. The big thing has left tail swishes of ember along the floor, up until the large hall. The floor's odd black smudges here and there obfuscate even the salamander's comings and goings, as they are everywhere, these smudges.

Knowledge(Planes) DC20:

The black smudges are small pulls of the Plane of Shadow, like threads of a web. Nothing to worry about, certainly, but touches to the threads might resonate elsewhere...

Antyress leaves no trace of slime in his slithering. Perhaps some char, if he had traveled over wooden boards, but not the granite beneath your feet at present.

Eidi points at the staircase and statues at the opposite side of the chamber, so the party moves forward with supreme vigilance, and opens the double doors, revealing another room beyond.

A small statue of an armored Wind Duke, his left hand resting on a sword, his right held up to shield his eyes, stands at the far wall of this room as part of a small shrine. The statue seems to be made of gold, with sparkling blue gems for eyes; a beam of bright light shines onto the statue from above. The walls are carved with bas-reliefs of Wind Duke servants bowing and soldiers saluting. An elaborate carpet covers the floor, but it is badly worn and the colors have faded—only small patches of the complete pattern remain.

Perception DC 15:

The carpet bears light scorch marks on it, fresh, a slight swoop towards the door in the south wall.

A single door stands in the middle of the south wall of the room.
