Mortimer has barely but to wave in the slimy skeleton's direction to knock it over, though its tongue fails to comply with the giant's attempt at eviction.

Also, no worm on Mort, as the barkskin beefs up his AC at present.

Eidi advances still calling her blessings on Solrisa once he has made sure Mortimer is save "... and Aroden showed us the way to humanity, all the contrary of those unliving that we face. The Spawn continue their assault, however feeble. Tynan's blade glances off the corner of the doorway, causing him to miss. Mortimer destroys the skeletal horror, before accepting more worms from another Spawn. Eidi strengthens the maiden against more incoming attacks. Solrisa returns the giant's favor, striking down the Spawn already injured. Eri sinks the Spawn by acid and arrow. Ascaria reignites the Fervor, then purges Worm as the giant continues making himself host. When you Channel in a hallway(Burst), Ascaria, I'll need a point of origin, for future reference. Also for the Prayer... hallway...

Both giant and ashen man destroy their respective Spawns, paving the way for two new entrants to the room- another Spawn which takes the place of Mortimer's recently double-slain Spawn, and another ichorous skeleton, which takes front and center to your frontline. Of their three still savaging frontline, one of them attacks Mortimer, while the other two flail at Solrisa, though the strange skeleton does tongue the maiden successfully.

In a blur of activity, the party collapses the undead present. Tynan waits for Eri to damage the southern Spawn, before stepping in and slaying it. The archer turns his bow on the northern Spawn, downing it with his last pull. Mortimer brings his new greatsword to bear upon the second swaying skeleton in brutal fashion, just before Solrisa matches the giant, then surpasses him, destroying the foul creature before it has another chance to ply its tongue. Eidi continues his protections, both magical and physical, plucking the knowledge from his memory regarding the nature of the recently re-slain undead. Ascaria comes up to bestow guidance upon the giant, just as the last undead falls.

Mortimer:

As the Spawn slump to the ground, as well as the skeletal thing, you would think that the sword currently in-hand would be sated, the Rage dying down to echo. But, no. There are still things to be killed here. The battle is not done, yet.

This is the classic story of The Red Shoes. I don't expect you'll want to perform full attack actions, swinging twice, and you can apply Ascaria's Blessing of Fervor however you see fit, but you are compelled to attack the nearest creature, likely until they are all dead, or you are.

The sounds of your breathing, and the low moans of the three captives are all that pervades the room, currently.

GM Sass, not sure how Sol took 2 hp damage. Ascaria & Sol aren't connected at this moment (the gladiating special is just a placeholder). Sol should be -12 hp + 6 temp (from Eidi)...so -6 overall..which may change on Ascaria's turn.

Something happens between Eri and the weapon, as Mortimer seems to grip the greatsword with less strength and vitality, but the giant still grasps it, and looks poised to continue his unwarranted assault on those present.

Eri:

Your magic touches its magic, and something feels you trying to suppress it, and for a brief moment, you feel a seething rage that threatens to consume all in its wake. You've grabbed a tiger by the tail. As soon as you've successfully suppressed the sword's magic, its rage disappears. For now... It will return 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds later.

Mortimer:

A hushed roar passes through your mind, as something takes huge offense that the archer has stepped up and forced its will upon 'it'. The enhancement to strength, vitality, and focus of mind disappear, though your ability to manuever more instinctively comes back. Currently, no Rage. You're still in the throes of its will, however.

Just in case, Ascaria drops Mort from his life link… while he absorbs some of Sol’s damage*.

Unsure exactly what’s going on Ascaria 5’ steps behind Sol, and tries to counter the effects of whatever it is by casting Suppress Charms and Compulsions on Mort. Not sure if it’ll work, but it’s worth a try!

He staggers a couple of steps backwards, nearly tripping over the prone bodies of Spawn corpses, and collapses against the wall, panting heavily, his eyes wide.
What was that? Did something just happen?

As Solrisa starts to beat on the Greatsword itself, lucidity almost returns to Mortimer as he groggily starts edging his way back towards the grounded weapon, babbling nearly incoherently.

Please roll for yourselves, 1d8+1 per charge, and I’ll track. Ascaria is handling the wand for everyone who needs it. Note: We're down to one wand of CLW. We don't use it a lot, but might want a backup. Or do you have one Eidi?

When everyone is healed up, he turns the wand on himself.

Ascaria walks up to Mort, "May I have the sheath?" Assuming it's forthcoming, Ascaria very carefully, and without toughing the pommel, slides the remains of sword into the sheath. He then wraps up any loose parts in his blanket, ties it together with string, and gives it to Sol.

"Carry this won't you? I don't want to leave it here for someone to fix and use against us."

"Thanks for the healing Eidi!" he says using one less charge on himself.

He starts toward the three men, but sees that Eidi has them in hand, at least for now. He waits to see if his skills will be needed. He leans over to Mort, "Feeling OK now?"

Not sure if Sol's attacks destroyed or broke the sword, Sol continues to destroy the sword with her new blade, trusting in the new metal to do what it was designed to do.

Sol will wait in the north hallway. She waits patiently, and examining her new blade for knicks caused by the recent sundering.

Eidi:

Your health inspection on the men fails to yield anything significant. The men do not look well, they do not respond to words, but what afflicts them, it's hard to say...

Ascaria:

You're drawn into the examinations of the three men, as Eidi struggles. Even as the half-elf tries to get a response, you catch familiar signs in the men. The listlessness, the pallor, the lowered lids and incoherent moaning... It's reminiscent of the worms that plagued Marzena and the soldiers recovered from the Twisted Branch Lair.

The half-elf tries to engage the chained men, in vain. They continue to moan incoherently, their eyes partially opened, but seeing nothing.

Solrisa moves forward, up the north hallway. For those already peering ahead, you can see another room waiting for you at the end of the hallway. It's lit by braziers in the northeast and southeast corners, as well as a writhing green beam of light that pulses from the stone altar in the middle of the room, to the double doors in the west wall. Closer examination shows several scrolls sitting atop the altar, bathed in green light themselves.

Standing in the room are two more Spawn, as well as an ugly tiefling, wielding a glowing club. He seems to be waiting for you.

"Perhaps the corruption of the state has allowed you to avoid the detections of Asmodean Law..." the half-elf's expression becomes harder "...but time to flush out has come. 'proyectil mágico'!" Eidi raises his staff and four missiles of pure force fly over Solrisa's head bursting the cleric's chest!
