Leave the ones you've created as-is.
Then, on the next chronicle sheet, note "Chronicle 1 Dayjob = XX gold" on it.
Then, have us go ahead and roll Day Job for our second Scenario (and Second Chronicle Sheet) now, and also include a "Chronicle 2 Day Job= XX gold" on the second Chronicle sheet, as well.
That way, once we get to the third Chronicle sheet (and beyond), we're only listing the current Day Job roll gold on it (as opposed to the roll from the game before).
Good, let's go with this then!

By the way, until you hit level 2, all gear can be resold at full value, not half value. (As long as it isn't a partially used consumable.)

Reaaally? I've never heard that.
Fiametta the Kantarian |
It's part of the PFS rule that lets you completely rebuild your character however you like before you hit level 2.
Dolgarth |
Yeah, that was made less obvious in this years' guide, so I wasn't sure if it still applied. That's why I didn't sell anything yet, I believe I'll still wait on that until the end of this adventure, though.
Aldus the Supplicant |
Oh, that's interesting. Thanks, Fiametta =)
That means I have enough money to get a darkwood buckler, which will give me some much needed breathing space on carried weight. Google docs updated.
Nebraska Jones |
Same here. Also made an edit on the buckler's material, going with Aldus' wisdom and Darkwood as well. Us low strength guys need to pack wisely ;)
GM Giuseppe |
As far as I know, in PFS you can sell your items at full value before you level up for the first time, as Fiammetta said, so go on ;)

"Girl, where were you while your fellow Pathfinders told you about the derros?"
After this "Girl" I cannot imagine Hestia in any other way but RuPaul (but dark haired). I like her a lot more now.

Hey guys, would any of you be interested in joining my Council of Thieves game? We recently lost a player, and I'm looking for a substitute. We're currently at the beginning of book 2, with 3rd level characters. Our group is awesome, and it includes some great players! We post once/day during the week and once over the weekend. Character creation is a little resticted due to my format, but it's nothing different from PFS Core, after all. Please PM me if you're interested and I'll let you know more about the game. Also, feel free to ask any question to me about the game via PM.
Aldus the Supplicant |
Thanks for the invite, Giuseppe. I actually sometimes go and spy on that game; I think there's a really nice thing going on there (and am sad Baolus left, I liked him). Unfortunately, having to finish my MA now means I'm already at my limit of games I can join and manage effectively. Hope you find a good substitute, either amongst ourselves here or somewhere else!
GM Giuseppe |
Sorry to hear that, Aldus, it would have been to good to have you, but your choice is wise: never commit to something if you already know it will create problems to you.
Anyway, as you may have noticed, I've given up on faction missions. They added a little flavor, but they end up being useless waste of time when they don't give any reward. Also, they introduced a certain degree of inner-fighting in the party.

GM: just noticed and corrected that Nebraska's AC and Touch were wrong, a point high each. Checked your combat rolls and no harm caused by it, but a friendly FYI incase you track some stats offline.
Dolgarth |
I thought we'd be going east, that's what Aldus decided, and I didn't see anything wrong with that.
Aldus the Supplicant |
The dice made me do it.
Also, I was sort of waiting on Fiametta/Jak to state whether they wanted to do anything specific before pressing forward. Whilst we wait, might as well check up on them floating corpses.

A couple questions, what kind of a drop is it down onto the floor he's on?
When I was poisoned it was stated as "1 round, 2 Str damage". I thought it would wear off, if not can I made a save to cure?

As for the poison, you failed your initial save against it and taken 2 points of Str damage. Then you made your second save, preventing you from taking any more damage. The Str damage you already taken remains and must be removed via lesser restoration or similar effects that heal ability damage.
As for the first question, I'm not sure I've properly understood it.
Aldus the Supplicant |
I think that Nebraska's question, put in other words, is: it seems we are standing on higher ground than the guard; can we safely jump down or do we need to roll acrobatics checks?
GM Giuseppe |
Fiammetta, Jakwin, are you still with us? Last time we heard from you it was Friday, if I remember correctly.
GM Giuseppe |
No problem Jakwin, next time try to inform us before taking a break, so that I can either bot you or task another player with using Jawkin in combat.
We're still waiting for Fiammetta, though. Anyone's willing to use her momentarily?
Fiametta the Kantarian |
Sorry, I'm here. I've got a nasty cold socked in, so I've been sleeping instead of logging in.

Hey all, this might be a good time to give everyone a heads up: next monday I'll be travelling to Cuba (fitting, eh?) for my master's and will stay there for 10 days.
Though I will definitely try to check in and post, I cannot really promise anything at the moment since these will be quite intense days and that it's unlikely that I will have a reliable internet connection whilst there.
Feel free to deal with Aldus however you please on those days. Bot him, ignore him, get him ill from wading on contaminated water, make him sensitive to the jet rat dark energies (if it's indeed in the sewers), etc.
Nebraska Jones |
Wellllll. Funny you say that, someone I'm playing with in another game was telling us about some years back when a player at a table missed a session. One of the other players had the botted character raid a magic temple. In the course of doing so they got the character a curse. (Polymorph into a goldfish) They managed to reverse part of the curse the next session but could never get rid of all of it so for the rest of the campaign whenever this person rolled a 1 the GM made their character turn into a gold fish for 10 min. The party had to walk around with a bucket of water ready to save them no matter what they were doing the rest of the campaign.
I doubt that's exactly Core, but we'll think of something ;) Have fun!
Aldus the Supplicant |
OMG yes turn me into a goldfish my body is ready
GM Giuseppe |
Hey everyone, I noticed that some of you are struggling to keep up with the pace of the game. Would it help you in being more consistent if we drop the daily posting rate to 1? I hoped for a fast-paced campaign, honestly, but would be willing to lower the posting expectations to 1/day if that means that I have your word that you'll post 1/day, except in rare cases when major difficulties arise, of course.
What do you think about it?
Jakwin Howell |
I appreciate the desire to move things quickly, but I think it’s generally tough for a group to maintain that pace in pbp longterm. People’s different schedules and time zones alone is a big issue (for example, I do nearly all my posting between 7a and 4p US central during work days; I can post multiple times in that time, but my family obligations keep me from posting at other times ... meaning if Jak comes up in combat just after that window, the game stalls until the following morning). It’s fine when we’re in more free-form RP situations, but when we ned specific people to post in sequences, it gets tricky.
I like the idea of setting the expectation at 1/day (excepting weekends), with the intent of beating that when possible. I’d think we could continue a pretty decent pace.
Fiametta the Kantarian |
Not a bad idea to cut the rate -- I keep thinking I'll get back to 2/day soon, but it hasn't happened. Always something different; this week I've just been sick as a dog.
Aldus the Supplicant |
I'm fine either way, at least for now (and without taking the upcoming trip in consideration).
Dolgarth |
I'm neutral on this one, my schedule is generally erratic but I can get posts in most of the time. I'd say it's down to those who travel/work more often, and we can always post beyond the minimum requirements when we can and wish to.
GM Giuseppe |
Good, we will drop the rate to 1 post per day, then. Of course, that doesn't mean that we can't post more if we are all have the time to do so.
Fiametta the Kantarian |
Bad migraine/cold, triggered by electronics use. Please bot.
GM Giuseppe |
I don't see the point of advancing the combat while two out of five players have not posted yet, so I'll wait for at least one of them to post before posting myself.
Nebraska Jones |
He's almost guaranteed to shoot an arrow, question is if he'd want to pick up a round of inspire or just leave the last of this encounter to the good graces of the dice.
Jakwin Howell |
So, should we be considering some "botting" rules? I don't want to rush things (especially as I've been one of the most unavailable), but without having heard from him, it might be good to have some rules in place. Thoughts?
I'm fine waiting, as well, but I know Giuseppe had wanted to keep the pace up, as possible.
Nebraska Jones |
I think botting rules are fair if we all agree on them. Define a window of effect and a scope of reasonable botting actions. As in that one awesome yet single use item is off the table for botting, high level spells, limited use skills, etc.
