Jackdaw begins to use the hand motions that the team had worked out previously.
<<Children here? We attack?>>
Fhingle Nib
Fhingle continues to converse with the Devil, seeing Saul's message. "<Well thank you for being so kind as just parlay with us instead of mindlessly attacking." Fhingle smiles.
Saul I bet you will need a bluff check

Jackdaw turns back to the devil. "<When you say children, do you mean little humans, elves, halfling, and dwarves. Young ones? That kind of children?"
Zea of Kintargo
Zea waits to see the response from Saul's question. If they could rescue the captives peacefully, that would be ideal. She didn't want to fight another one of these... things...
Zea of Kintargo
Zea thinks carefully. "<Your contract requires you to hold them until in order to be sacrificed by the cultists? So if all of the cultists died, then the arrangement would be void as there was no one to sacrifice the prisoners. So you would cease being bound to guarding them at that point?>"

Jackdaw is about to think to himself...Smart lass. but stops himself quickly as he is all about the action. All that introspection is best left to that Saul fellow.

"<Okay. Well, sorry to have disturbed you. We will take our leave.>"
Jackdaw motions for all to leave with him, and he says, "Perhaps we will be forced to kill him, but for now, since he isn't immediately hostile, let's kill the cultists first, and come back later. Thoughts?"
Zea of Kintargo
Zea nods. "That sounds good. Maybe we can avoid an unnecessary battle. I don't mind sending him back to his plane if we have to but I'm not too sure it would be easy..." She thinks for a moment. "Maybe if we kill all but one of these horrible cultists, we can force the last one to tell the devil that the prisoners should be released... That might end its contract..."
GM, I'm not sure if I was supposed to understand that "maybe you can get the cultists to fulfill your wish?" Maybe Cassius got it. Meaning maybe we can ask them nicely to let the people go?

Fhingle bows to the Devil and backs out of the room with the others. "So we are going to rescue these people then see if the Devil will leave, then this place will be for the Hell Knights?"

Jackdaw leads the group to the north, and then east, past the pit. As they reach the turn (C7), Jackdaw examines both the double doors to the east, and the apparently open doors to the south, which seem to lead into a big room.

A pair of immense iron doors stands closed here. A short message has been written onto the doors in precise script, along with a symbol of an armored fish.
The script, written in Infernal, reads, <These doors sealed by the Order of the Torrent; all holdings within awaiting arbitration. Lady of Graves, have mercy on the souls of those who perished within, and may the Guildmasters of the Gray Spiders burn for their sins.>
To the south the doors stand open to a large room with a higher ceiling.

Jackdaw looks at the closed iron doors. "And we are their new partners. Jackdaw wonders if these doors are still sealed, or opened by the cultists. If sealed...we should go in expecting undead. "

Jackdaw wraps his elven cloak around his face and tries to sneak forward and peak around the edge of the open door.

Jackdaw whispers to the others, "We got some crazies, caught in the act. Ready for a fight? One has a fancy mask... a leader, maybe? Let's take him out fast. Get in his face, stop any spellcasting."
Saul Gibson

"The plan is set. We go!"
Brandishing his longspear, Jackdaw runs into the room!
And hoping for a good initiative roll!

There is a possibility that Jackdaw could do something different than this because the cultists act first, but this is probably my action. Could you stick their pics on the map?
Jackdaw charges after the one in the fancy mask, trying to put him down before he can get a dangerous spell off.
