So we sold that Any tool - list price is 250; sells for 125.00. Split 4 ways is 31.25 more gold. Right?

Nah. We should keep it. Would be a great utility tool. We may need a shovel, or a hammer, or a crowbar. We can always sell it later if we never use it.

Ok... I thought you were the one who said sell it when I said keep it. I am confused.

I think the plan was to sell the masterwork thief tools and keep the anytool, since it can function as such anyways.

Hi all. I am back from the con. I played nine 5 hour slots of PFS and averaged maybe 5 hours of sleep a night for four nights. I'll be doing my best to catch up on everything and post tomorrow. Its good to be back home, and back with the game. :)

I think the complexity of the situation/mechanic is what led to the question of whether to go "story".

I actually don't care what happens, but I had forgotten that combat reflexes allowed for AoOs when flat-footed (crazy good feat BTW). The alley scene doesn't really add anything, so I'm fine with just handwaving Justified tripping the boy and getting his coin purse back.

Anyways, Ignius is going to be MIA for the foreseeable future. He's been ordered not to visit the Paizo site during his deployment, so he wont be able to post until he's back.

If Moira's still around, we can press on.

As for my part, September has been ridiculously busy for me, but things have finally settled down, so I can get back to posting a little more reliably.

So folks, shall I recruit some fresh blood or do we want to call it? This has been a pretty slow PbP and I'm as guilty as anyone, but as long as there is interest, I'll keep it alive.

Speaking of the adventure, the current lead you are following takes you to the thieve's layer, which is the last part of the first adventure.

I have no desire to call it. We had a fighter, rogue, cleric and wizard and are a functional party. We do still have a wizard, right? So, just recruit a cleric and we can be good. Maybe grab a 5th while recruiting.

I would like to pick up the pace, but do not want to put any pressure on you Fanguar.

I have no desire to call it either. Perhaps we could fast forward into the thieves lair?

I'd like to continue. We just need a cleric then.

I have a recruitment thread up and going, if you want to pop over to look at some of the submissions. I've played with Azure zero and dal selpher before and they're both solid. Also Pavo, from our AoW campaign, is putting something together.

I second the vote for Rast. :) I like Azure zero just fine. I I have been in games with him and had him run for me. The randomizer is amusing the first time, but not what I would expect for a specific call. To me that is a negative for us. Let me look at the offerings. I am partial to cleric of life oracle for positive channeling.

I am camping this weekend, leaving early afternoon, and will be away from all computers and internet. I'll be back and able to post Sunday evening.

Other than Rast I do not see anything that I like a lot. The Half orc looks like the best of the lot. I do not mean to offend the player, but the ninja/cleric/sword saint is my least favorite; smells of cheese and flavor not fitting.

Back. Good time had by all. But ready to sleep in a bed. :)

Here are my quick thoughts. If time permits I would like to look into posting history of these candidates. I hate people who drop without announcing their intent and do not want to pick up someone who has done that.

Current List of Replacements:

Faya Haggerson Human Barbarian - I like this character and the player seems to be experienced and reliable on first glance. Build is solid with no cheese. Good compliment to party make up and good expectation of role playing,.

Reinald Malcoms Human Fighter (Tactician) 2 - Hmm. I am a tactical type fighter, so already not liking that. Lets look deeper. Meh. He is still a pirate and a CN one at that. He has done nothing to change his character for this campaign. All he did, as far as I can tell, was link an existing character.

Malkus Zhurgoth Half-Orc Rogue - Evil character. No crunch to review. Plus we have a fine rogue.

Noya Yuuki Aiba Ninja 1 / Cleric 1(Theologian) 1 - Player seems bright and a good poster. I like Zero. But cheese, regardless of how random he claims. Even though we have a rogue, if this player would play a ninja and not multi-class they might have my vote. Except that I see no reason to bring in oriental classes into the game and this character want so use two of them. Of course if you asked AZ to re-ramdomize without the oriental classed, he would.

Graythan Fist Dhampir Inquisitor [spellbreaker] - I like the build. Not so crazy about the race. Would he choose a non-dead race? Maybe it would be ok. Not sure where we are headed. Hard to heal him, but he can heal himself I guess.

Beltin Albin Aasimar Cleric - Good cleric. Strong build. But we already have one with Rast. This is a very good build, but Aasimar race is broken imho.

Morvius Charthagnion III Oracle of Pelor, Lore Mystery - I do not see this one.

Davor Modius Half-Orc Cleric (Crusader) Since we already have a cleric, this is a strong contender.

Rast Hilden Half-elf Cleric - Check mark here

Tae-Val Human Inquisitor of Wee Jas (Preacher, Witch Hunter) - Not a bad build. Two archetypes. but Preacher hardly counts.

Welcome aboard gentlemen. You're both in other games of mine, so you know what to expect.

Graythan,as perhaps you saw in in justified's post abve, there's a touch of concern about the negative energy affinity weakness of your race. I'm not going to make you change it, but just be aware of the issues might arise from it. Also, there is a lot of time spent outside, so be prepared to deal with being dazzled.

For the sake of convenience, let's say that Graythan also affiliated in some fashion with the church of Osprem, so we can have the pair of you arrive together, having been brought on by Lavinia to help. You don't know the other PCs personally, but you have been filled in on the details of the situation.

You guys can enter the shop whenever, say your hellos and I will bring the master of this fine establishment in to kick off some conflict.

No being dazzled for Graythan, as he has the dayborn alternate racial trait. =)

Concerns are noted, but I think it'll only really be an issue if Rast tries channeling to harm undead and Graythan's in the area of effect. His focus on the crossbow and ranged combat should help contribute to that being an uncommon occurance though. Once he has enough money, I think Graythan will pick up a wand of inflict light wounds and he should be pretty ok on the healing front at that point. Until then, he'll just be a little more selfish with his spells, holding his slots in reserve for personal heals.

If it does prove to be really disruptive and difficult, I'd be fine with changing his race, but I'd like to see how it all actually plays out first.

I'm not overly concerned. If it becomes an issue, there's a feat that you can pick up that allows you to be healed at 1/2 the normal rate.

Really? That's a pretty cool feat! I'll have to check it out.

I'm not sure if I want to take the man at his word about the Potion. I'll roll a Spellcraft next post.

Well my friends... I am going away on business. I won't be able to access the pazio forums for a while. Justified, did you use +1 to hp for favored class? I noticed that you have +1 bonus from Con.
Your level 1 hp should have been d10 hit die, +1 from Con and +1 favored class. Total of 12.
Your level 2 hp should be half+1 (6), +1 from Con and +1 favored class. Total of 8.
Your grand total would be HP of 20.
Looks like you may have opted out of using the +1 to HP for favored class.

Moira is taking advantage to the +1 to HP for favored class. I envisioned Moira as a survivor of the streets so I gave her the 14 Con at the sacrafice of Int and Str.

Please correct me if I am wrong in assuming the +1 to HP for favor class. I will make the corrections.

Yep. I am taking the favored class bonus to CMD. That is intentional and part of his build. It hurts with a 12 con but that is his build.

I have a question regarding the Channel Positive Energy ability. Though it is a 30 foot radius burst, in the current situation, it won't affect everyone in combat, only those that have line of sight with Rast, right? I don't have Selective Channeling and I am seeing who would be covered with a heal based off of the current character placement.

My understanding is that channel energy is line of sight. It doesn't go through walls or things.
