M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

I am standing by to do something, as soon as I figure out what everyone else has done. :) This is taking too long. Can we finish this round today?

retired

So, falling back seems like a good idea, if for no other reason than this frightening fighter/ranger/dino is going to chew through us like sticks through a woodchipper if we stay in this single file buffet line for him.

The only out I can imagine would be rendering him unconscious with a spell somehow, but I don't think we have the means to do so at our disposal.

Regardless of how Ignius decides to retcon his turn, I'm thinking Graythan's action should be to haul Moira out of there (presuming she's down, of course).

EDIT: Just checked Moira's hp and if she was at full going into this (crosses fingers!) then she'd be staggered at 0 hp and could fall back on her own accord with a withdraw action. She'd drop to -1 at the end of the double move, but she'd get away without provoking an AoO and would be near Rast who could get her back up again.

If Moira's still standing, then I think Graythan will post up, jack his AC as high as he can, and buy the others a round or two back in the larger room to recover and regroup.

Female Half Elf Rogue 7: HP 59/59 AC: 19/15/14 F: +4 R: +9 W: +4, Per: +9 Init:+4)

Moira was at maximum hp so yes, she will be in the staggered condition.

Falling back to the bigger room is the best option.

retired

I think we're mostly in agreement then. Once Moira's posts her withdraw in the gameplay thread, I'll have Graythan prepare himself to buy the rest of you a round or two.

Liberty's Edge

M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

I say we still need to pull back into a room where more of us can get at the creature.

retired

That's the plan of which I speak. Moira withdraws, Rast gets her back on her feet, and the group falls back to the big room. Graythan will withdraw after a round or two and try to catch up before the walking, scaled woodchipper that is Gutripper chews him up =P

We can retcon Ignius' turn. I don't think with where everyone used to be (ie before Justified and Gutripper moved) that he could have line of sight on anyone actually in the room. If he wants to buff or whatever that's fair game.

Female Half Elf Rogue 7: HP 59/59 AC: 19/15/14 F: +4 R: +9 W: +4, Per: +9 Init:+4)

@Graythan: I forgot that you wanted to grab the kobold cook. You totally could have and can take her as a 'cohort' if you want.

    retired

    I forgot I wanted that too! =P

You know, I think I'd still like to do that. Should we handle it like she's a hireling or would you prefer to be more narrative and hand-waive-y and just have me use her as a role-playing foil?

I think she is more appropriate as just roleplaying flavour.

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

OK. I went back and tried to make a treasure list for this run. Please jump if and add anything you think I have missed. And GM Fanguar, please jump in and add a value for anything I do not have a value for. Or, if you think we could not have grabbed said item, just tell us we were unable to carry that item out.

This started with the 100 gp of gems from Tom in the ally. I know officially Rast and Graythan were not quite there with us but no big deal.

Magic is a little scarce. We have a magic collar, 6 doses of magic Perfume, and a potion of Cure Light from the taxidermist. Can someone identify the collar?

So, here is the list. Gear was sold at half price. other treasure is listed at the "Value" listed by GM Fangaur. Some of this should be sold for full price, but I an not sure about things like clothing.

    Pouch with Gems -100 gp
2 LD Thieves gold and gear -100 gp
4 Casks of Rum - Unknown
Cage of Tropical Birds - Unknown
3 LD Thieves gold and gear - 142 gp
Gold from Churtle - 53 gp
6 LD Thieves gold and gear - 248 gp
huge map of Sasserine - Unknown
Breastplate and Morning Star - 104 gp
    Books - Unknown
    Statues - 950 gp
    Coffers - 300 gp
    Jewerly - 850 gp
    Clothing - 615 gp
    perfurmes - 800 gp
    Stolen Goods - 6450 gp
    Chest wealth - 8,600 gp

Total as listed: 19312 (likely to change)

    retired

I presume the 8,600 will be returned to Lavinia - I'm pretty sure it's the nest egg Vanthus stole from her out of that old family crypt or whatever it was.

Apart from that, the rest looks legitimately split-able. Thanks for pulling the list together, Justified! A job well done, too! =)

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

I figured this too. Perhaps some of the 8900 will be returned to us as a reward. :)

Regardless this is a reasonable haul, especially considering that Justified has less than 900 gp in total value at the moment, before this run. But that does not count the Earth Elemental Stone I had forgotten I had that I likely should have used in that last fight...

So 4450 is returned as a reward. Let's also say that's 200gp for the rum and 500 for the birds. Nothing for the map though.

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

OK. Plugging in those numbers and adding nothing for the books (It was stated that they were not valuable) it comes to 15862 gold. Divided by 5 and we get 3172 gold, 4 silver each. We still have the dog collar, a potion of cure light, and 6 perfumes worth 200 a dose if we want to sell. We need to id the collar.

    retired

I wouldn't mind selling the perfumes to add another 240gp to each of our cuts.

ID'ing the collar is beyond my abilities though.

EDIT: presuming the sale of the perfume, Graythan will try and acquire a +1 heavy repeating crossbow (2,700gp) and a wand of inflict light wounds (750gp).

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

Charisma 8 here. And no ranks in Diplomacy, so Justified is not likely to use the stuff. But it sees reasonable to keep a dose or two for our face character. +10 is a lot, and its a long duration. The price is very cheap for what you get and we may need a saving diplomacy roll some day.

    retired

We could keep one as an ace-in-the-hole.

Sassarine is a huge trading port. You can find any equipment in your current price range. A repeating crossbow is an exotic weapon, though.

    retired

It is, but Inquisitors are proficient with them! =)

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

Is Ignius Al'Radim still with us? He can likely ID the collar. It has been more than a month since he has posted though. Last I see is April 11 in the gameplay thread.

    Spellcraft for Ignius: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 Rolling for him. :)

If we can resole the collar we can finalize the loot division and go shopping.

Ya I don't know what's up with Ignius. I know he's been dealing with some rough real life issues.

I totally thought I posted what the collar was, must have been a dream.

It's an amulet of mighty fists of shock, you can sell it for 2k.

    retired

whoa. no wonder that dude was hitting so hard!

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

I do not think we can use that thing, since we have no monk or druid types. So if we keep one perfume, and sell 5 along with the collar we net another 3000 gold. So that is an extra 600 each, bring the individual total up to 3772.4 gold. Get to spending. :)

Unless someone in the party is taking a crafting feat Justified will spend 3k on getting his armor and weapon both enchanted to +1. Other than going out for a nice dinner he will save the rest to some day buy a cloak of resistance.

    retired

Very nice. Graythan will pick up a +1 heavy repeating crossbow (-2,700gp), a wand of inflict light wounds (-750gp), 8 5-bolt cartidges for the crossbow (-40gp), and sell his old heavy crossbow (+25gp).

Like Justified, I'll hang on to the left over monies for later =)

    retired

    Moira? Rast? Ignius?

What're you guys spendin' all dem dollah dollah bills on? =P

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

Yes. Spend away and lets get to adventuring. :)

Not waiting on Ignius, if he turns up great, but for now we'll leave him behind in town.

You need to pay the fee, or make a gather info or knowledge check to determine your destination.

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

    Knowledge Local: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Justified cannot even assist.

    Female Half Elf Rogue 7: HP 59/59 AC: 19/15/14 F: +4 R: +9 W: +4, Per: +9 Init:+4)

Would love to get her MW rapier to +1 (-2000 gp) and get her MW leather armor to +1 (-1000).

What are the crafting rules in this campaign? GM has magic wand that makes items magical? ;-)

Does Moira know anything with the below roll? (makes sense being that she came form the streets. So typical of a rogue coming from the streets)
    Know: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

That is exactly what I did Moira.

    That's fine Moira.

Ok. So Graythan has obtained the location of Kraken's cove.

Your best options are to hire a fishing boat (15gp per person). You'll be dropped on a beach a couple of miles away from the cove. This will take 16hours. The other option is to travel by foot and that will take about 5 days.

    retired

Dang. 5 days? Graythan will absolutely insist we go by boat. A 5 day old trail is no trail at all!

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

Justified has the Water Rat campaign feat. He likes boats. :)

I take it that there are no objections to the boat.

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

only reasonable choice since we can afford the price. It does seem like a lot to charge for a boat ride. That fisherman likely does not make than in a month of fishing. :)

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

Sorry for the short notice. I am away this weekend and have only now learned that the wifi is very poor.

    Female Half Elf Rogue 7: HP 59/59 AC: 19/15/14 F: +4 R: +9 W: +4, Per: +9 Init:+4)

Based off of one the post in the recruitment, someone was willing to be a fulltime medic. Extra healing would be nice to have. What's everyone thoughts?

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

Our inquisitor can heal. I would rather have a full arcane caster. A good controller can prevent more damage than a cleric/life oracle can heal. If we can get the cash and get access we can get a wand for out of combat healing. Speaking of which Moria and Justified could use some healing now. :)

    Female Half Elf Rogue 7: HP 59/59 AC: 19/15/14 F: +4 R: +9 W: +4, Per: +9 Init:+4)

Hehehe.... I was thinking of arcane caster AND a medic. Party of 5, but I'll take an arcane caster.

    Liberty's Edge

    M Human Lore Warden (Fighter 7): HP 70/70 AC: 19/13/16 F: +6 R: +5 W: +2 (3 vs fear), Per: +7 Init:+3)

Ah. If we can get two then a medic would be nice.

I'm fine with two. I'll update the recruitment.

    retired

Bear in mind I didn't build Graythan to be a group healer, but to be a self-healer. He doesn't have cure light wounds on his known spells list, for instance.

If we need Graythan to take over as full time healer, he'll only be able to do it with a wand.

Howdy, everyone! I'm looking forward to gaming with all of you.

I chose the following for my Runeforger abilities.

Featherlight - The inscribed item's weight is halved; a metal item's weight is reduced to 1/4 normal. If inscribed on a suit of armor, its armor check penalty for Acrobatics and Climb checks is halved.

Forgemaster's Blessing - The inscribed non-magical item functions as a masterwork item.

If you have some feedback on what might be better choices, here is a list of possibilities.
