What is the current party composed of?

Either would be is fine.

Currently there is a human lore warden fighter, half-elf rogue and dhampir inquisitor.

If still available. I'd love to throw my hat in the ring. Looks like you got a candidate for replacement of the sorcerer you must have lost. Originally you wanted a divine character. I see you picked up an inquisitor. I would bring either an oracle, or a bard for support. I really enjoy buffing and helping a party do what they would normally do... only better.

While I've never had a chance to put the concept through a trial run, I have a vision for the oracle of battle to buff up the party and after that, focus on reach tripping with a guisarme. Letting the rest of the party get plenty of extra attacks by causing the enemy to provoke aoo's, or at least helping the rogue get those amazing sneak attacks they love. If the lore warden in already doing this, it may be fun to see how 2 in 1 party compliment each other.

Or...

I'm cool with going straight up fighter, to be the front line "flanking buddy" for the rogue, and blocker to allow the lore warden to do his combat maneuvers freely.

Or...

I can bring the encouragement and entertainment with a straight bard. Constant buffs, extra lore, UMD wand enthuesiest.

Please let me know if I'm a possible player. I'll put the character together within 24 hours, and am ready to join the party ASAP.

Thank you for your consideration

Here is Spinnaker Jon.

Here is my Gnome Sorcerer.

If it would be more convenient for the group, I could make a cleric healer. I'm not seeing much healing capabilities with the current load-out of the party. I don't mind playing the medic :D

(Btw this is Brent Brent alias)

As one of the players in the game I wanted to pipe in here and reiterate we are looking for an arcane replacement. I personally would prefer a wizard to a sorcerer for the knowledge skills, but either can work. I do not necessarily get a vote, but I'd be voting for a full arcane class over any alternative.

By general consensus it look like we will be restricting the arcane spot to wizards only.

I am opening up another spot for a divine caster. Druid, cleric or oracle (life) please.

Are you looking for a dedicated healer for the divine caster?

Doesn't have to be completely dedicated, but we are definite short of healing at the moment. Basically, I'm looking for buffing, healing and overall utility over DPS from our divine candidates. So for example, a caster druid would be more desirable than a melee druid.

Would a multiclassed fighter/wizard going into arcane archer work as an arcane caster?

Hmm. I do happen to have a Wizard (Necromancy but will prob edit) I could recycle. I should have his profile up by tomorrow.

I have a dwarven forgemaster in mind. I will get a sheet up tomorrow for your perusal.

Here is my Human Wizard. His School is Evocation. He has ranks in all Knowledge except for one. I will create a backstory later tonight as well as take a look at equipment.

Zanril, you should know a lot more first level spells. You get 3+ your int mod at first level and then another 2 at second level. So my count is that you would know 10 first level spells. Your spell craft is high enough so that I believe you can take 10 and tap the rolls to learn them.

Here is the submission for Tanner Nielsen.

Savarend Whiteroot
LG Cleric of Moradin (Forgemaster) 3

Description:

Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 150lb

You see a well-groomed dwarf man with dark hair tied into a ponytail. His beard is loosely braided and reaches to his collar line. His eyes are a deep blue, with small flecks of silver near the iris. His skin is fair and pale, with small freckles on his nose, high cheek bones, and a strong jaw. He is dressed in breastplate armor, with a rust-brown cloak. He holds a warhammer and shield. You also notice wicked spikes on his gauntlets and a dagger at his belt. He is tall for a dwarf, with a solid frame and straight posture.

Personality:

Savarend leads personal interactions with a no-nonsense, business-like attitude that comes from several years of mercenary work. He works hard to overcome his negative attitude to see the good in people, but has been disappointed enough in life to not expect much from those around him. He is loyal and courageous to those who have his friendship - while terrible and vindictive to those who attack or betray him.

Background:

Savarend's family traces its lineage to the Land of Black Ice, home of the reclusive and brutal northern folk. His forefathers found ready work as mercenaries, campaigning during the harsh winters and returning in the spring with bounties for their family. This established a tradition of sorts, with each passing generation choosing whether to take up the mantle of 'coin-sword.'

Savarend initially chose a different route, gaining an apprenticeship under the local cleric of Moradin. Filled with piety, yet quickly finding the monastic lifestyle to lack stimulation, Savarend swore fealty to the Godsmith as a cleric to take his faith to the world outside as a holy warrior. After several years of successful service with a mercenary company, he struck out on his own as an independent operator.

Zanril, your alignment is NE. Is that changing?

I like the character and the background. Good story. Should be fun to role play. But I do not get clerics with negative charisma mechanically. I have a cleric in another PBP with a 14 charisma and its just too low. I constantly wish it was a 16. By not having a positive charisma modifier it means that you will never be able to exclude enemies from your channels, which means you are always healing up the bad guys or your channels are only useful out of combat. This sort of means you are choosing to play a cleric that is not a combat healer. I am NOT recommending you change a thing. Just wanted to comment about how I see your cleric working.

I'm glad you like it! The forgemaster archetype does not have channel energy. They instead gain a class ability called Runeforger, that allows them to apply various benefits to weapons, armor, and equipment. It relies on Intelligence instead of Charisma. At just 3rd level, he already has Craft Wondrous Item and Craft Magic Arms and Armor. I have reserved several of his spell slots for healing, which is why I asked earlier if a dedicated healer was wanted. The DM responded, "Doesn't have to be completely dedicated, but we are definite short of healing at the moment. Basically, I'm looking for buffing, healing and overall utility over DPS from our divine candidates."

Liberty's Edge

OK. I like it better now and would like to see that archetype played. :)

Yes, I still need to make quite a few additions and tweaks I was just giving a rough idea. Finishing up by tonight

thinking about an alchemist...

Thanks for the interest. I'll send out invites by PM.

Hey Folks,

Looking for some more fresh meat! I need a healer/buffer type PC for my Savage tide game. We're currently working through the third adventure. Current party is a trip/polearm lore warden, a ranged inquisitor, a rogue and a magus. We use google docs for maps.

Character creation:

level 5
20pt buy
Hp: max at first, 1/2+1 each level after
Starting wealth:8000gp
Traits: 1
Background: Don't need much. Your character was just unpetrified outside of an Olman ruin in the jungle. You had a nasty run in with a basilisk, why you were there doesn't really matter. You're in the middle of nowhere and will be returning to the PCs ship after they finish exploring the ruins.

Recruitment will be open until I see something I like, but either way, it'll be sooner than later. If you have any questions let me know.

How about a life shaman? Also, is this set in Golarion?

Dark Archive

Wanted to dot in here. This character's not at all built for your campaign; I'll strike either the arcanist or bard (probably Arcanist) and rebuild her in the morning.

A life shaman would work just fine.

It's set in Greyhawk, but as most of the remaining adventure takes place on the isle of dread or in the abyss, so it's kind of setting neutral.

On second thought (and after a very long couple of days at work), I realized that I don't have the time to devote to another campaign at the moment. Good luck!

What are you looking for? Martial, ranged, anything?

I could whip up a gunslinger or a zen archer if you want ranged.

I could whip up an unchained monk or a paladin if you want a fighter.

Restrictions on races?

Looking largely for a character who can heal consistently and well. Right now, we're leaning on Graythan here, a dhampir inquisitor without any known cure spells and a wand of cure light wounds.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Hmm, so a hospital paladin, a healer spec witch, a healer spec oracle, or a full on cleric

Oracle, shaman, witch, warpriest, paladin, druid... lots and lots of classes are better at healing than Graythan =P

I have this Cleric of Pharasma that can be easily reskinned as a cleric of Wee Jas.

I'm a prolific daily poster with a very long history of both playing in and running games here on these boards.

Still waiting on racial restrictions before building, unless you're going with Nilan. Which is fine too. Let me know.

No real racial restrictions. We had grippli cleric at one point.

Nilan is a perfectly fine character, but it is always nice to have options. If you are still interested, feel free to make a character and I'll ask my players who they prefer.

Krila

This is Krila, an Aasimar Halfling Shaman Witch Doctor with a Life Spirit. She can channel 12 times per day (for 24D6 of healing), and can cast Cure Moderate once per day for free on each person (healing hex) on top of her spells.

Not that there is a ton of interest, but I will close the recruitment now.

Both Nilan and Krila look like solid characters. I will consult with my players to see which they prefer and I will contact the lucky winner via PM.

Thank you both for your interest.
