Oh boy, this would be one of those situations where the wizard having feather fall would be amazing and cinematic.
That said, Caine, we might be in trouble!

GM Faelyn |

I'm sorry if this game has turned into a slog for you guys. Is there anything more I can do to help make it a bit more enjoyable for you all?

Belladonna Goodbarrel |

Well roleplaying with NPCs is pretty lack luster because the game updates so slowly. Anytime we get an update from the GM, it's to continue the plot/combat, which makes it very hard to get anything more than one-liners from NPCs cuz we gotta go. It also isn't really a good time to talk about much when we're either busy fighting or trying to hustle to save kids.
I think our best bet is to converse with other PCs while we wait on the GM. We certainly come from very different backgrounds and have differing viewpoints. That being said, if the plot moves to a point where conversation would be impractical (such as right now), then the conversation would be dropped until another time arises.

Starting on the 16th I'm going to be away on a quasi-vacation to the other side of Canada. My grandfather is passing away and my family is travelling out to see him. I'll be back on the 29th. Unfortunately, internet isn't going to be a thing where I'm headed, so its very unlikely that I'll be able to post at all.

GM Faelyn |

Hey all, I'm still around, but my creative juices are a little low today. I had to work over four hours until 3am this morning and then be up a few hours later to take care of my little man while the wife went to work until I then had to come back to work this evening. I kept trying to get in and post, but seems like every time I just couldn't get the old brain to want to work. I will be rejuvenated tomorrow after some well deserved sleep shortly.

Zirren Jenefone |

Hi guys, I'll be gone throughout the weekend. Driving down, getting ready for and attending my best friend's wedding. I might be back late Saturday or mid day Sunday in order to check back in then.

GM Faelyn |

Okay, I've had some time to refresh myself and I'm going to get things rolling again. I'll be busy this evening, but look for a new post from me tomorrow!

GM Faelyn |

One thing I decided to make things easier for me to deal with when it comes to combat is that I will start utilizing an average for initiative of party vs enemies to determine which group will go first. I know that can mess with action economy with the party possibly being able to mob something quickly, but at this point the way I had been doing it in the past was becoming a hassle. I want to keep this fun for you guys and keep the game moving and with a lot of these modules we are playing there are several encounters with large number of enemies. I think this will keep pretty much everything moving smoothly.
If you all would rather go back to the traditional way, I can make that happen as well.

Zirren Jenefone |

The new method works for me.
Hmm, so does that mean if one of us with a high dexterity picks up Improved initiative we can skew the average result of us higher?!

GM Faelyn |

Correcto, Zirren. Of course, the rolls themselves will affect it as well.

Zirren Jenefone |

Well, after extrapolating some character information from the base players guide and assuming no variation on character weight ratios and assuming all relevant gear is on them, we have the following information:
Ruhk base weight: 220 lbs.
Equipment: 56 lbs.
Art base weight:30 lbs.
Equipment: 22 lbs.
Zilka base weight: 201 lbs.
Equipment: 88 lbs.
Total: 276 + 52 + 289 = 617 lbs.

GM Faelyn |

"We've already had it."
"We've had one, yes, but what about second breakfast?"
One of the best scenes from that trilogy!

GM Faelyn |

Is it finally working???
*EDIT*
FINALLY! I have to say, I have not been impressed with Paizo's ability to prepare their website to handle suddenly influx of new material and people. This same issue happened when they released Starfinder. I had hoped they would have learned their lesson the first time this occurred. So, I'm going to be on a mini vacation for the next four days and my posting ability will minimal during that time. I apologize for the late notification, but considering I haven't been able to do anything on the Paizo forums for a week....

GM Faelyn |

I am going to wait until I know for certain the site is stable again before I start posting in my games. Please be patient with me, because I have already lost several long posts in the past week while attempting to get my games running again and have become incredibly frustrated by these issues.

GM Faelyn |

Okay, I think it's finally stable... I'm going to move us forward again!

GM Faelyn |

So after a bit of thinking... I've decided to implement a new Houserule that will help us breeze through combat a little bit more and give you all more control over posting the outcomes of your actions. Since the majority of our combats involve of large number of enemies with lower HP, I'm going to be posting the Armor Class and HP of mook-type enemies in the combat posts. That way you all can see what you need to roll for your attacks and can go ahead and post your actions. Also, you'll know whether or not you drop your enemy so party members can adjust their actions accordingly. Now, I'm trusting you all to play fairly and not fudge die-rolls. Also, you lot of a great group of roleplayers and I want to give you the opportunity to let your skills shine!
I hope this will speed things up a bit for us, because I know combat tends to slow us down a lot and I apologize for that. For bosses, I'm going to keep those numbers hidden just to at least keep that exciting, but the way you all have been carving through these kobolds... Whew!

Zirren Jenefone |

That's not a bad way to go about doing things. I rather like knowing if my mediocre rolls will actually harm an enemy without having to check previous posts, if any, to figure it out.

GM Faelyn |

No sir, waiting for Bella to do some scouting. Updating from my phone as my notebook is in for some update/repairs for the moment. I will try to get an update in tonight, if I cannot get it tonight then I will do it tomorrow.

Zirren Jenefone |

Well alright then. I think that instead of Ruhk taking point to examine room 21, we have Art volunteering.
Go to Art. We'll back you up while Zilka throws her dancing light spell in the far hallway. Also it turns out that I forgot Zirren had a dancing lights cantrip prepared as well. He'll cast it but in the 3 spheres of light.
2 will go to the room 21 and the other will go to keep light in the north tunnel.

GM Faelyn |

Hey guys, I apologize for the slowing down of things again. In the past several weeks I've been working a crap ton of extra hours and my brain has really been fried. I leave for vacation tomorrow for a week and we will pick things back up when I get back, I promise!

GM Faelyn |

I'm back from vacation, but scrambling to get caught up with all the tech changes from while I was on vacation. My entire department received training on our new camera (body and car cameras) systems while I was gone. My training was "here's the box, figure it out." Gee. Thanks guys. So I've been devoting a lot my time the last two days to getting myself oriented to these new devices. I hope to get my games updated soon.

GM Faelyn |

No worries, Zilka! Thanks to everyone for sticking with me.

Zirren Jenefone |

I'm not entirely sure what I managed to do there, but somehow while moving Zirren's character token to see if I had enough room to get him close enough to cast a short range spell, he got covered up by layers of the map and is no longer able to be seen.
I didn't mean to have that happen and I didn't want to disturb the map any further so I left him out for now.
For what it's worth, he could just make it to the space where the yellow arrow ended and fire a magic missile off at both the Green and the yellow bordered Kobold near the back of the room.

GM Faelyn |

That's okay, Zirren, it happens. And also, if you ever have that happen you can always roll back the changes you made. I restored the map to its version from before your avatar was hidden and placed Zirren to the point where you indicated. Let me know if that is the area in which you would like to be placed.
