Karg Once-Bound
|
I have hit level 5 as of the last scenario. So I will take a bit of today to update character stats.
Reavis Smoot
|
I received my chronicle sheet from the last scenario with no issues, and, after making some purchases, I'm ready to proceed with the next one.
The Man Behind the Curtain
|
Current party is as follows:
Reavis Smoot - Alchemist 5
Karg Once-Bound - Summoner 5
Vash Swiftfeet - Hunter 4
Lars Boulderstep - Ranger 2 / Cleric 1
Enora - Arcanist 4
APL is (5+5+4+3+4)/5 = 4.2, rounds to APL 4 for low tier
Vash, does this character have a chronicle sheet for part 1? If so does he have the Blessing of Malikeen and/or Ley Line Attunement boons?

Alright, I'm going to go ahead and get started. Before we get going a few things of note:
1: This scenario has a fair bit of environmental effects and interesting terrain. I know that Karg and Vash both have animal companions capable of being used as mounts. Do me a favor and on your status line or in your posts to make it clear when you are mounted or unmounted.
2: In general, I'll be making PASSIVE perception and knowledge checks on your behalf. Generally I'll do so in a spoiler tag so not to clutter the thread. Feel free to look at them, they aren't hidden. If there are any ACTIVE perception or similar checks you wish to make, like searching a specific area or looking for a specific item, please put it in your post. Also, if you have specific reactions or abilities that could affect this, please let me know and I'll let you make your own checks.
3: Combat can get very cumbersome when tactical movement becomes an issue. In general, I'll roll AoOs on your behalf in order to speed up combat, assuming that you'll take the first AoO possible using whatever weapon you generally use. If you have special reactions that you often use, let me know and I'll either take that into consideration or I'll let you make your own reactions/AoOs.
4: My general assumption with pets is that until their master has acted they have no commands other than to try to not die. If an animal companion goes before it's owner, I'll probably have that companion delay until its owner's turn, and have it automatically take AoOs when applicable. If you have any specific commands for them otherwise, please let me know. I absolutely do not want to deprive your characters of any interesting tricks, nor do I want to make your companions less effective. Your animal companions are cool. Vash, I do notice that you and Millie have lookout and I'll try to note that on the initiative. If I forget it please remind me.
5: If I EVER do ANYTHING that you think is making your character less effective or railroading you somewhere you don't want to be, LET ME KNOW. I'm doing my best to make things run smoothly and if I cut too many corners let me know and I'll rewind a bit. Either PM, post in the discussion, or just post in game play something like before we left the last place... Sarsczek looks under the sofa for something to eat. Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
6: Let's get this party started! Hope you all have fun!

Shear no longer has the mount evolution. It is still possible for him to gain it though, it will be unlikely for Shear to have that for the scenario.
Also Karg takes offense at Shear being called an animal.
Vash Swiftfeet
|
I am going to pick up a wand of endure elements and a wand of cure light wounds. As I don't seem to have them.

How many of you are accessing the map from a mobile device? I've been using presentation instead of drawings because it has mobile support, however it isn't the easiest tool to use, especially for zoom in/out. If people aren't using mobile much for the map I may just switch over to google drawings.
Reavis Smoot
|
From the necromantic spellbook, Reavis will be copying Cure Moderate Wounds and Undead Anatomy I.
From the bigger spellbook, he'll copy Bear's Endurance, See Invisibility, Resist Energy, and Spider Climb.
He'll wait to do all that until the end of the mission, his Spellcraft is high enough to make the DC's by taking 10. He'll need the gold at the end to afford to scribe them all at any rate.

I will be hoping to check off either "liberate a slave" or "defeat a known slaver" depending on whether Mata Ryu or the undead count as either.
Other check boxes require a penanggalen having successfully grappled or charmed me.
I do not wish to check those.

I'll begin preparing chronicle sheets tonight as I finish the epilogue. Reavis, you might want to hold off on buying those spells until you see the chronicle =P.
As for faction card checkboxes:
Liberty's Edge - Jujanil certainly meets the criteria of known slaver, and just about everyone you've saved was in fact enslaved.
Grand Lodge - You spent the scenario in Tian Xia (adventure in a nation other than absalom).
Dark Archive - Named text acquired, and Spellbook acquired with lots of spell levels.

I'll hold off on the spells for now then, thanks for letting me know.
Day Job: Craft (alchemy) + Crafter's Fortune: 1d20 + 17 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 17 + 5 = 32

Chronicle Sheets!
Vash
Reavis
Lars
Shear's Agent
Enora
I hope you all enjoyed the scenario. I probably will not start GMing another scenario until work and life calm down a bit, but if you keep an eye on the Flaxseed Lodge you may find me there . Let me know if you have any issues with your chronicle sheets.

I'm all set here. It looks like I picked a good set of scenarios to run Reavis through with that Formula book! Thank you for running!
