Jagged Stone
|
Jagged Stone immediately holds up both of his hands in a sign of peace.
"Someone took something that Jagged Stone needs back. He ran in there..."
The oread points beyond the workers who are pointing at him.
"Jagged Stone wasn't sure if this building was abandoned or not, so he went up tah' it and tried to see where the man went."
Jagged knocks the side of his own head as if to say, rocks.
With both hands up, Jagged moves away from the guards and towards the main street, hoping that they don't go inside and prevent the other Pathfinders from doing their work.
Total defense, and move away.

Victoria, seeing the dust heading back to the first door will rush back out the way she entered.
"Wait for me....again. . "
| GM Bold Strider |
Xerance's arrow hits the invisible man once more.
Victoria runs out the loading dock entrance and directly into the guards...
Aetherys ducks under the workers' arms and rushes back into the warehouse and leaps onto the boxes to grapple the invisible man.
Seeing Aetherys rush into the warehouse for the second time and Victoria rush out of the warehouse, the guards have decided to take a knock-em-out first, ask question later approach to the situation.
Two of the guards rush after Aetherys, but only one tries to climb on the boxes to take care of her while the other watches for any funny business from her. They are confused about why she is rolling around on the boxes. He gets on top of the boxes and is able to stand and draw his scimitar.

I would think that Aetherys still gets an aoo on the man since he ran away from a threatened square. I wasn't able to move my icon from the map, but after jumping down she made one move last round and now another with a standard action to shoot.
Moving from box to box, Xerance runs around the clutter of guards and shoots another arrow at the dust covered man.

even if we can see him due to the dust he pulls up? Invisibility rules get weird when there are indicators like these around.
concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 48
| GM Bold Strider |
It's true. I think they added in the spice rules for the scenario so he didn't just invisibility and run away with no recourse for people without See Invisibility. Basically, you can tell where he is moving, but it's not like Glitterdust where he is coated so you see a spice golem looking creature. Also, you didn't state high or low...
Concealment High/Low: 1d2 ⇒ 2 Low it is.
The arrow fire off into nothingness and Xerance hears a yelping sound as the arrow disappears in midflight.

Jagged Stone's eyes widen as the excitement returns to his position.
He addresses Scissors even though the roc is nowhere to be seen.
"See, Siz'ahs.. I told you we should wait outside..."
Realizing he sent his companion to seek on the far side of the building, he whistles to bring about the roc's return.
Taking a step back, the oread fumbles in his bag for a moment before pulling out a stone tablet (skinned for kicks, not really stone, but paper scrolls defeat the whole "Rock" is beaten by papper schtick).

Jagged forgoes the AoO to show he means no harm.

Jagged makes a spoon-like gesture.

The remaining guard near the unconscious form of Victoria yells back at Xerance. You have no authority here. You all are under arrest and to be ejected from the property! You can go quietly or we can deal with you as we have your friend! Xerance fires an arrow that hits the man. Listen, b*@#$. This isn't a game!
Dvalin further asserts some imaginary authority of the Pathfinders, thinking that the guards will back down from threats. He heals Victoria, bringing her back to consciousness.
Aetherys vanishes in front of the guards and they take defensive stances around the slain corpse on the ground.
Jagged breaks free from the grasp of one of the workers trying to eject him from the premises as Scissors knocks one of the workers unconcscious. The rest of the workers flee as Scissors mauls one of their own.
Another of the guards lets Skivane and Zartrel leave the area commanding the rest. Leave the premises or we will eject you with no regard for your safety. Being a Pathfinder doesn't give you license to invade a factory or kill a man. Unless you drop your arms now and leave, we will be forced to take action. Victoria comes back from the brink of the great beyond, courtesy of Dvalin.
Tori, Still not sure why the guards tried to kill her, stands and collects herself and backs away from the guards, intending to leave. She will cast another colorspray to defend herself if the guards attack her or her friends.

that crit came at a bad time. And yes Xerance says it as that is what she believes to be true, she holds a towns guards at a high standard. She couldn't tell the man was unarmed since he was invisible and continued to run, he never surrendered though he had plenty of opportunities for it. Jagged Stone's eyes widen in alarm as Scissors butchers the man that tried to grapple him.
"Noooo, Siz'ahs!"

The Color Spray-affected guard rouses and shakes his head a bit before standing. As Dvalin mouths off to the guard who struck down Victoria and moves away, the guard retorts. Be my guest, Pathfinder scum. Can't wait to inform the authorities that you and your ilk decided to harass someone in the streets and then blindly charge into a spice factory with no regard for trespassing or the safety of the workers.
The guard, clearly the captain, then turns to point dead man on the ground. After this, you kill a man who clearly has not attacked you. Yes, it seems you have two options. Wait here for the city guard to arrest you or you get out of here and we send this up the food chain to your superiors. Your choice, half-pint.
Jagged Stone rushes to the injured worker and tends to wounds, bandaging him up to prevent any blood loss. The third guard watches him warily, scimitar drawn, but relaxes when he sees he is aiding the worker. Scissors perches on the wall, watching Jagged Stone.
