@Wade: Oh, I plan to, but I have better uses for my (limited) feat selections than a "+2 to two skills" feat. I'm a 3/4 BAB, light armor-wearing, meleer, so I'm focusing on hitting hard and often, and staying alive. If I was a Fighter on the other hand, I'd be jumping all over that bad boy. :-)

If allowed, I would take +2 Int as my choice only bringing me to a 20.
Profession Torturer after all I did in fact say I tortured my mother a bit and makes sense with the background. As for extra language...blarg getting heavy on them...hmmm I'd take Goblin if I have to stick to starter languages or Undercommon if I could actually choose outside it.

it's a +4 to 2 skills if you have 10 ranks in the skills, but the point is understood
EDIT: I will point out however that you could get the feat for a 2 point race buy if you had a custom race, bypassing the requirementsjust throwing out options
@Wade: that's true, but I try to stay away from custom races. Much too easy to make something insanely OP'd, and it's not in my nature to deliberately nerf my character (unless I'm playing with a group of beginners or something). Race customizing's just too tempting...

Darastrixi chose to take me in. If you ask them why, you get skin burned off, yes? That what happened to first men who try to save me. Bad thing that achuak hate men in shiny armour. They smelled weird to achuak, so he peeled them apart and gave me jhank and litrix.
I told the next group that it was bad to go into (what was it?) the… Caer Buh, buh… uh… Bryr! Woody place, nice and lovely and pretty and leafs and scales all over that made them think that achuak was something they called (what…) malsvir? But acuak was not what they say. So I use the spear to impale the big one. Well, not impale so much as anger.
They told me to stop before I get, what they say…. Ouith. And they take me away from Darastraxi and told me that he was malsvir more and more. But he not malsvir. He not burn trees like nasty davofi. Achuak was really nice and he taught me how to grow trees big and tall. His trees were bigger and better than other trees because of what he put into them. He gave me the same thing. It hurt a bit, but it made me stronger. He taught me how to fight like him, but he didn’t want me to really fight. Not yet.
But… that didn’t make the davofi like me. The big one didn’t like it when I mention achuak as being bensvelk for me. I not hurt him like first time, but he make me angry so I joke about seriously hurting. So he challenge me to ripeik. He didn’t get up after.
So they burn me and hurt me, and davofi hate me. I no hate them… at least that’s what the achuak taught me to say. Achuak taught me to create good forests and really hate davofi. They burn forests, hate darastixi, so they deserve ripeik.

I have a few extras to add, like copying in class features, and spellbook, but Veldrin is otherwise ready.
Also, yes, I know he can't really use the rapier all that well, but it's the favored weapon of Zura, so for him its more another holy symbol than an actual weapon.
I might even take Weapon Finesse eventually, so he can use it proper.
Oh, forgot to mention it earlier, but Aasimar have those extra abilities as well, so Aasimar pick one as well from the list; it is in both Blood of Angels and the PFSRD under Aasimar! Sorry for not mentioning it, I was at a party earlier. Let's just say the Bacardi fought me... and it lost! :D

It's a shame that I can't pick ALL of these characters, because every one of them is really good fluff-wise and from my initial skimming of the statblocks, crunch-wise too. This is going to be a tough decision indeed!

Oh, and something tantalizing to think about: Most of the templates from Rite Publishing's free e-zine Pathways will be options for templates as well, including templates based around some of the 7 deadly sins, numerous undead types (Red Jesters are crazy cool!), elemental stuff such as the tempest creature and other cool stuff. You don't have to decide now on what you want, just before you completely escape Branderscar. Let me know if one interests you!

C: interested in gaining pleasure and creature comforts for himself, which is only natural
D: someone who was personally wronged, death and moreover humiliation for taking something that no one was even using, unforgivable
