I did not realize until today that the discount was not applied to anything but the adventure paths. I was under the impression that I should get a discount on most Paizo products as I qualified for Pathfinder Advantage from my 1e AP subscription.

I am missing my Forge of Ashes download. It was not even mentioned in the email as a download added to my account.

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

I would like to cancel my subscription after Forge of Ashes and before Lord of Runes. While I love supporting physical copies of books, I find my self reading the electronic versions of the Pathfinder Tales more.

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

I'm seeing the same thing and I don't have the Strategy Guide in my sidecart (if it is, I never put it there). Though where the subs are listed at the bottom, is says the next item in the Sub that is expected to ship is Pathfinder Unchained.

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

I think there is some lag from the number of people trying. I had to try several times but I managed to finally download it.

Just wanted to pop and express my interest as well. It depends on how much free time I have when you decide to start if I can play, but I still wanted to say something since I've been following for a while. I really liked your rules for the setting and wanted to try my hand at building a character based on those rules. I'm thinking of putting together a Unicorn Arcanist, possibly an Elemental Master Arcanist.

This subscription was supposed to have been flagged to cancel after last month's item, Undead Unleashed, shipped. When it didn't cancel right away, I thought I'd give it some time. But now it's about time for the next authorization and it is still there, determined to sail itself to my door.

I imagine that the whole matter of having to briefly suspend last month's subscription might have influenced it into sticking around.

What I was trying to say but more eloquently, and clearly, put. :)

The last part bolded by me

It doesn't make sense. It says THIS advanced talent and that could be the mistake but none of the Advanced talents can be taken multiple times (normally as far as I read)

It is as if it was meant for another talent and that was deleted and this piece of text was left. It isn't in the revised Playtest.

I read that to mean that you can choose to take a Rogue or Ninja Advanced Talent in place of another Slayer Advanced Talent more than once. Though I do see how that wording could be confusing.

They have acknowledged that there are issues. In this post Jason Bulmahn says not only do they know there are issues, but that they will be addressing them.

I didn't see this addressed already:

In the Sacred Fist Archetype, there is an error in the Class skills. Sense Motive is listed twice, once before and once after the Ride Skill.

This is what I have so far. I noticed the group had considered the posibility of Oceanfolk being multiple races combined and decided to expand upon that.

Beneath the Waves:

==== Merfolk, called Mers ====
Mers, a race of Oceanfolk, come in all sorts of colors and patterns. Each one is distinct, and can be told apart by their markings. They live in underwater communities amongst the open sea. Their garments are made from things found under the sea, such as shells, coral, likely even woven plants. Most of them prefer to stay well beneath the surface, avoiding the land-walkers as much as possible. They have lost to many to the land-walker's murderous ways. They worship, Neri, Mother of Mers. She is their creator, their beginning, their mother.

==== Darya's Connection ====
Darya traveled alone with Dusk before she swam into a Mer community. She was thin, skin and bones. They took tiny little her in, and fed her, clothed her. She has been adopted in by the community. She could leave at anytime, but so far she has chosen to stay. They are her family.

==== Primoridians ====
Primordians, a race of Oceanfolk, are rare. They are tied to the Sea itself, it is there lifeblood. While they can live on land, and survive far inland, they prefer to be close, if not in, the Sea. They do not have a community of their own, but instead join an existing one. If they are lucky, they escape the surface-dwellers to live amongst other Oceanfolk. The not so lucky ones find themselves amongst the lowest dredges of society.

==== Darya =====
Darya, was one of the unlucky Primordians. Born to poor human parents, she was sold as a child into slavery. All she knew was hardship for early years, treated no better than trash. She was no person, only property. Hard labor and abuse where daily occurrences. Her back is marred with scars from a whip and her form is tiny from the lack of nutrition and tough lifestyle growing up. It was when she was in her late teens, the voice called to her. It asked if she wished for the hardships to end, to have freedom. She ignored it at first, distrustful. But it kept coming back. Never did it harm her, and it soothed and comforted her when her Master was particularly cruel. Eventually, when it asked "Do you wish to be free?" She said, "Yes" A bargain was struck, the voice would give her the power to free herself in exchange for her services down the road. Dusk, who had crawled out out of the shadows, would alert her when it was time.

Using her new found power, her Master learned the true meaning of cruelty as his actions against Darya were payed back sevenfold. That was the day Darya set herself free. Since then she has never looked back. She found herself a new home, a new community, a family.

==== The Voice ====
Dagon is not Voice that made a deal with Darya. It was a Leviathan. Patient, scheming, it has has plans and motivations that have not been fully revealed yet. Awake, watching, it choose Darya and for now is satisfied to bide it's time. Who knows how long that will last.

Just wanted to check how you wanted to do it :)

^^ Will do. Do you want me to post it here, spoiler it or pm it to you?

And it seems my phone sneakily autocorrected Kale's name... Sorry Kale!

You mind if I do some work on them? I'm thinking Primordial right now. But I do have a few ideas, and Darya will have lived with them for a while. I'm thinking a few years minimum.

Also, I like Kale's suggestion as well. :)

EDIT: Fixed Kale's name because it bugged me.

So many choices :D That's part of what I love about this system.

I'm actually leaning away from Briney (though I can see the fun and potential) and more towards something else. I want her to be racially tied to the sea in some way. And I think, after playing with the idea some I'm going to go with my gut on this one and take that spoilered option :)

I have decided that she was a slave in the past, but now she is free. This is why she made a Deal with the Devil and gained Dusk. Right now (could change some as I keep fleshing her out), her drive is Freedom, both for herself and for others coming from similar backgrounds, mostly slaves and the oppressed.

I'm glad you like it. Currently I'm leaning towards either a Water Primordian though I have thought about a few different options as well, toying with the concept of siren ancestry for her race. Decisions, decisions.

I noticed that you all have drives instead of alignment, do I need to make a drive to replace the alignment option of my sheet?

Since the familiar rules did not state it had to be an animal, I had some fun. Dusk was created, not born. He is made from blood given a life of it's own and a semi-solid form. He's malleable, able to change his shape an form and can speak when he chooses to do so. His color is such a dark red it's almost black. He gets his name from his favorite time of day, dusk. He usually rides as a necklace around Darya's neck, so he can hear and see and speak to her.

I'm sure there's all sorts of things that live in the deep, dark depths of the sea. Who knows, maybe she's just a pawn :)

I can see either race having great tie-ins and both work for her being a sea witch :) There's also the "Devil" she made that deal with. I'm thinking dark, dangerous and possibly from the deep depths of the sea.

Hello everyone :) Moving over here for the fleshing out of things.

I am working on my witch, Darya and her familiar, Dusk. Some of it, will rely on what I choose for her race. It could be fun to have her be a Briney. I saw where you talked about them being the bottom of the social ladder. And somewhere else you talked about them possibly being slaves. I also toyed with the idea of taking a Primordian of the element of water, she's mistaken as one of the Briney.

I picture her as part of the lowest in society, possibly even a slave, that through making a Deal with the Devil, she gained the power to free herself from that life.

Thoughts?

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

It's from Grim World. They are an elemental based race, so I was considering making her water aligned. Though I did notice things on Oceanfolk/Brinies :) Maybe I'll just make something new. I like the idea that she was someone that was looked down on by society (possibly a slave), hence leading her to make her deal for power.

Do you want us to move over to the Discussion for more fleshing out of things?

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

I have a whole wishlist full of ones I'm considering :) I like supporting the people behind games. And, I did end up buying it. I was on the edge and your vote of confidence in the quality was all I really needed. I'm liking the look of this witch class, I feel it's safe to say I'll play a witch :) I'm not sure on a race yet... I toyed with the idea of being a water Primordian... Any suggestions for what would work well and fit in in this world?

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

Hi Frogfoot! *waves*

And I would like to play. :) I had actually been looking at that one trying to decide if I should buy it or not.

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

I am! :)

I have played DW before, one game as a player (here on the forums) and one a DM (in rl). I'm still learning with it, but the system is really fun!

Concept wise I was thinking about something along the lines of a fortune-telling sea witch.

The Print/Pdf Bundle in this order is saying it is still pending. The Pdf is in my downloads and the print copy came with my subscription shipment last month.

Hopefully this is just a minor glitch that won't take you long to fix :)

Did the WotR Face Cards and Tears of Bitter Manor Campaign cards become added back to the April ship list? I noticed they were not listed above but were listed on the Product Schedule and had moved back up from May in my Subscription Shipment to my April one.

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

Looks right now! ^^

Thanks!

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

To start a Pathfinder Tales subscription, Daggers of Trust or Redemption Engine are given as choices from the Pathfinder Tales Page. This is skipping the newly released Skinwalkers novel. I did not check if this is the same for in the cart, though I suspect it is.

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

I'm seeing my Order Summary for this order say it has shipped, has a tracking number and everything, but the Order History says its pending and I've not received an email. Is this just a glitch? Or something different for how things work now?

You get everything under starting moves.

Can we use the same bond for multiple characters at the same time? I read that you just have to have at least one bond when you start, and I'm tempted to just leave that last one blank for now.

And I think I know why Sinathel views the thief that way... but I'll let our theif post first ^^

XD And here I was wondering if I should make the Barbarian be that bond but the thief... oh yes. lol I shall set this bond now:

Thief smells more like prey than hunter.

I should start getting that profile together. And I'm trying to decide what I want to do with:

_________ has tasted my blood and I theirs. We are bound by it.

At least neither of you smell more like prey than a hunter yet? XD But I'm liking all the connections forming between us ^^

Updating one of my boons:

I have showed Dambreth a secret rite of the Land.

Well I started sketching her last night, so if I can get it to a good point, I'll scan it to show you (it's pencil and paper). It's kinda still a very rough work in progress.

I was planning just the Iris for now, but that would be no matter what form she took, the part of the eye that would count as an iris would be that vivid green. I debated on making them more slitted than normal. But when I picture them in my head they are very similar to this. Unnaturally green. :)

As for her feathers, most are likely from parrots and other very brightly colored jungle birds, like the Blue & Gold Macaw and the Green Wing Macaw. The feathers are all different colors, creating a rainbow in her hair. I picture shades of red, green, blue, yellow, even purple and orange if she can find them.

It sounds cool to me ^^ Gives me some good ideas to play with for my contacts in Gaia's Hand too.

Sinathel:

Look: Wild Eyes, Braided Hair, Weathered Hides

Stats:

  • Strength - 15
  • Dexterity - 12
  • Constitution - 13
  • Intelligence - 9
  • Wisdom - 16
  • Charisma - 8

Damage: d6
Armor: 1
HP: 19/19

Alignment: Chaotic - Destroy a symbol of civilization

Race: Elf - The sap of the Elder Trees flows with in you. In addition to any other attunements, the Great Forest is always considered your land.

Bonds:
__________ smells more like prey than a hunter.
The spirits spoke to me of a great danger that follows Hawke.
I have showed __________ a secret rite of the Land.
___________ has tasted my blood and I theirs. We are bound by it.

Studied Essence: When you spend time in contemplation of an animal spirit, you may add its species to those you can assume using shapeshifting.

Starting Moves

  • Born of the Soil: The Dark and Mysterious Jungles, The Great Forests Tell: Vivid green eyes, a shade of green similar to the foliage of the Jungle and just as full of life.
  • By Nature Sustained: You don't need to eat or drink. If a move tells you to mark off a ration just ignore it.
  • Spirit Tongue: The grunts, barks, chirps and calls of the creatures of the wild are as language to you. You can understand any animal native to your land or akin to one whose essence you have studied.
  • Shapeshifter: When you call upon the spirits to change your shape, roll+Wis. ✴On a 10+ hold 3. ✴On a 7–9 hold 2. ✴On a miss hold 1 in addition to whatever the GM says. You may take on the physical form of any species whose essence you have studied or who lives in your land: you and your possessions meld into a perfect copy of the species’ form. You have any innate abilities and weaknesses of the form: claws, wings, gills, breathing water instead of air. You still use your normal stats but some moves may be harder to trigger—a housecat will find it hard to do battle with an ogre. The GM will also tell you one or more moves associated with your new form. Spend 1 hold to make that move. Once you're out of hold, you return to your natural form. At any time, you may spend all your hold and revert to your natural form.

Gear:

  • Token of the Land: Bright and colorful feathers woven into her dark braided hair.
  • Defenses: Hide Armor (1 armor, 1 weight)
  • Armament: Spear (reach, thrown, near, 1 weight)
  • Poultices and herbs

Sinathel's dark hair braided into a long braid that is decorated by bright, colorful feathers woven into it. Her armor and clothing is made from different animal skins, some furs and others scales, some striped and some spotted.

While those that respect her lands are welcome to use its bounty for their needs, she does not tolerate those who are greedy and take more than they need for their own gain. It is people like that whom destroy the habitats of the forests and jungles. She is thus protective, and has in the past lead some of the forest animals in attacks to hinder and stop the destruction.

The spirits have talked to her, told her the danger that follows Hawke. She keeps an eye out, though she has not spoken up about this yet. The spirits did not say what danger follows him, so for now, she watches and waits. Thought this was a fitting one for Hawke.

Waiting till I hear about everyone else before I fill out any more of my boons if that's okay. I have some ideas for them, but I feel I need to know a bit more to make a good choice. I know which one I plan to give the Ranger, but I'd rather wait till I have his name.

Pathfinder Adventure Subscriber

Yay! This is exciting!

Is a spear for the druid close or reach? The character sheet says close but the rules for a spear say reach.

I'm just excited about all the animals I have available. I'm almost done, hopefully sometime today I'll have her up for you.

My question was more, is it pick only one on those, like armor or a shield, when it doesn't say pick one? That was more what made me unsure about the gear section.

I believe I just like bonds and figuring out what I want my tell to be. I have ideas on that but I haven't settled on anything.

Hm, so under gear, is it just one item under each category, like the armor? Also, it said something about picking our names from the list. Is that what we need to do for names?

I'm currently debating between a Good or a Chaotic Elven Druid Born of The Dark and Mysterious Jungles. I'm starting to feel she's more Chaotic because she despises the clearing of land and mass harvesting of trees without care. The invasion of the masses of humanity in a path of destruction.

Oh and Aubuster, I like your idea possibly connecting our characters. ^^

And I've been thinking on the bonds too.

Nice to meet you ^^

Those are two of the soils for Druids ^^ They say which animals/environments I'm familiar with for shifting and communication.

Frogfoot: I'll have that Dark and Mysterious Jungles as my soil choice from being a Druid. I'm currently leaning towards Elf, which will grant the Great Forests as well. Because while all those domestic animals from being human sound fun, I have this image forming in my head for this character that the Jungle/Forest combination fits better.

Hm... To be an Elf or a Human, both have such nice bonuses. Do I want to have two soils from the get-go or would I rather have all domestic animals...

Also, would The Sapphire Island be the Jungle-type soil or just a tropics one? Or would jungle environments fall under The Great Forests?

My first ever DnD character was a druid. While this one is different because of system differences, I looked it over and I feel I would have so much fun with it.
