![]() Just wanted to pop and express my interest as well. It depends on how much free time I have when you decide to start if I can play, but I still wanted to say something since I've been following for a while. I really liked your rules for the setting and wanted to try my hand at building a character based on those rules. I'm thinking of putting together a Unicorn Arcanist, possibly an Elemental Master Arcanist. ![]()

![]() This subscription was supposed to have been flagged to cancel after last month's item, Undead Unleashed, shipped. When it didn't cancel right away, I thought I'd give it some time. But now it's about time for the next authorization and it is still there, determined to sail itself to my door. I imagine that the whole matter of having to briefly suspend last month's subscription might have influenced it into sticking around. ![]()

I read that to mean that you can choose to take a Rogue or Ninja Advanced Talent in place of another Slayer Advanced Talent more than once. Though I do see how that wording could be confusing. ![]()
![]() This is what I have so far. I noticed the group had considered the posibility of Oceanfolk being multiple races combined and decided to expand upon that. Beneath the Waves:
==== Merfolk, called Mers ==== Mers, a race of Oceanfolk, come in all sorts of colors and patterns. Each one is distinct, and can be told apart by their markings. They live in underwater communities amongst the open sea. Their garments are made from things found under the sea, such as shells, coral, likely even woven plants. Most of them prefer to stay well beneath the surface, avoiding the land-walkers as much as possible. They have lost to many to the land-walker's murderous ways. They worship, Neri, Mother of Mers. She is their creator, their beginning, their mother. ==== Darya's Connection ====
==== Primoridians ====
==== Darya =====
Using her new found power, her Master learned the true meaning of cruelty as his actions against Darya were payed back sevenfold. That was the day Darya set herself free. Since then she has never looked back. She found herself a new home, a new community, a family. ==== The Voice ====

![]() So many choices :D That's part of what I love about this system. I'm actually leaning away from Briney (though I can see the fun and potential) and more towards something else. I want her to be racially tied to the sea in some way. And I think, after playing with the idea some I'm going to go with my gut on this one and take that spoilered option :) I have decided that she was a slave in the past, but now she is free. This is why she made a Deal with the Devil and gained Dusk. Right now (could change some as I keep fleshing her out), her drive is Freedom, both for herself and for others coming from similar backgrounds, mostly slaves and the oppressed. ![]()
![]() I'm glad you like it. Currently I'm leaning towards either a Water Primordian though I have thought about a few different options as well, toying with the concept of siren ancestry for her race. Decisions, decisions. I noticed that you all have drives instead of alignment, do I need to make a drive to replace the alignment option of my sheet? ![]()
![]() Since the familiar rules did not state it had to be an animal, I had some fun. Dusk was created, not born. He is made from blood given a life of it's own and a semi-solid form. He's malleable, able to change his shape an form and can speak when he chooses to do so. His color is such a dark red it's almost black. He gets his name from his favorite time of day, dusk. He usually rides as a necklace around Darya's neck, so he can hear and see and speak to her. ![]()
![]() Hello everyone :) Moving over here for the fleshing out of things. I am working on my witch, Darya and her familiar, Dusk. Some of it, will rely on what I choose for her race. It could be fun to have her be a Briney. I saw where you talked about them being the bottom of the social ladder. And somewhere else you talked about them possibly being slaves. I also toyed with the idea of taking a Primordian of the element of water, she's mistaken as one of the Briney. I picture her as part of the lowest in society, possibly even a slave, that through making a Deal with the Devil, she gained the power to free herself from that life. Thoughts? ![]()

![]() It's from Grim World. They are an elemental based race, so I was considering making her water aligned. Though I did notice things on Oceanfolk/Brinies :) Maybe I'll just make something new. I like the idea that she was someone that was looked down on by society (possibly a slave), hence leading her to make her deal for power. Do you want us to move over to the Discussion for more fleshing out of things? ![]()

![]() I have a whole wishlist full of ones I'm considering :) I like supporting the people behind games. And, I did end up buying it. I was on the edge and your vote of confidence in the quality was all I really needed. I'm liking the look of this witch class, I feel it's safe to say I'll play a witch :) I'm not sure on a race yet... I toyed with the idea of being a water Primordian... Any suggestions for what would work well and fit in in this world? ![]()
![]() XD And here I was wondering if I should make the Barbarian be that bond but the thief... oh yes. lol I shall set this bond now: Thief smells more like prey than hunter. I should start getting that profile together. And I'm trying to decide what I want to do with: _________ has tasted my blood and I theirs. We are bound by it. ![]()
![]() Well I started sketching her last night, so if I can get it to a good point, I'll scan it to show you (it's pencil and paper). It's kinda still a very rough work in progress. I was planning just the Iris for now, but that would be no matter what form she took, the part of the eye that would count as an iris would be that vivid green. I debated on making them more slitted than normal. But when I picture them in my head they are very similar to this. Unnaturally green. :) As for her feathers, most are likely from parrots and other very brightly colored jungle birds, like the Blue & Gold Macaw and the Green Wing Macaw. The feathers are all different colors, creating a rainbow in her hair. I picture shades of red, green, blue, yellow, even purple and orange if she can find them. ![]()
![]() Sinathel:
Look: Wild Eyes, Braided Hair, Weathered Hides Stats:
Damage: d6
Alignment: Chaotic - Destroy a symbol of civilization Race: Elf - The sap of the Elder Trees flows with in you. In addition to any other attunements, the Great Forest is always considered your land. Bonds:
Studied Essence: When you spend time in contemplation of an animal spirit, you may add its species to those you can assume using shapeshifting. Starting Moves
Gear:
Sinathel's dark hair braided into a long braid that is decorated by bright, colorful feathers woven into it. Her armor and clothing is made from different animal skins, some furs and others scales, some striped and some spotted. While those that respect her lands are welcome to use its bounty for their needs, she does not tolerate those who are greedy and take more than they need for their own gain. It is people like that whom destroy the habitats of the forests and jungles. She is thus protective, and has in the past lead some of the forest animals in attacks to hinder and stop the destruction. The spirits have talked to her, told her the danger that follows Hawke. She keeps an eye out, though she has not spoken up about this yet. The spirits did not say what danger follows him, so for now, she watches and waits. Thought this was a fitting one for Hawke. Waiting till I hear about everyone else before I fill out any more of my boons if that's okay. I have some ideas for them, but I feel I need to know a bit more to make a good choice. I know which one I plan to give the Ranger, but I'd rather wait till I have his name. ![]()
![]() Hm, so under gear, is it just one item under each category, like the armor? Also, it said something about picking our names from the list. Is that what we need to do for names? I'm currently debating between a Good or a Chaotic Elven Druid Born of The Dark and Mysterious Jungles. I'm starting to feel she's more Chaotic because she despises the clearing of land and mass harvesting of trees without care. The invasion of the masses of humanity in a path of destruction. Oh and Aubuster, I like your idea possibly connecting our characters. ^^ And I've been thinking on the bonds too. ![]()
![]() Those are two of the soils for Druids ^^ They say which animals/environments I'm familiar with for shifting and communication. Frogfoot: I'll have that Dark and Mysterious Jungles as my soil choice from being a Druid. I'm currently leaning towards Elf, which will grant the Great Forests as well. Because while all those domestic animals from being human sound fun, I have this image forming in my head for this character that the Jungle/Forest combination fits better. |
