@wade yeah thats why i'm lookin :P

i am actually becoming quite fond of this crossblooded idea with sage, although that'd make the fiendish sorcery trait kinda useless, wouldn't it?

ugh.

Shadow Lodge

not really, you if you are crossblooded with an applicable bloodline, it'd also apply
or you could take the tail or deathwatch at will to replace it

Sczarni

I personally take prehensile tail for my Tiefling characters perhaps a little too often but when you don't play arcane blasters then it's a good way to give your character something that people don't expect. Rogue's using their hands to distract the mook while his tail drops the poison in the man's drink with Sleight of Tail...you know those kinds of things.

Shadow Lodge

@Origami
If you go to http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/featured-races/arg-tiefling and go about halfway down the page you'll find the variant heritage's I was talking about.

CHARACTER FINALIZED FOR SUBMISSION

Prehensile tail is quite good, a whole lot better than most people give it credit for. Many people don't take it because you can't attack with it, but it's got a LOT of utility. So yeah Origami, if you don't want fiendish sorcery, that's a great option. Glad to see you recognize it's potential, Jing! I love the Sleight of Tail comment you made, it sounds rather hilarious to me, more so because I'm jacked up on caffeine this morning! The wonders of the cacao and coffee plants! The world simply would not function without them! :D

I have to add the second favored class bonus then Drahzar should be good to go.

Drahzar the bloody, a servant, contractor and cleric of Asmodeus is completed.

I think She is done... Yes... I think she is done.

If you are finished, GM asked to put character finalized for submission, in bok, big letters.

To do that, it's [b][/b] for bold and [bigger][/bigger] for big words.

Veldrin will be finished tonight, I was up till 4am last night watching the last bunch of episodes of Arrow, season 1.

Oh, could someone put up a list of submitted concepts, I'm curious what all we have.

Plus will help GM make finial decisions.

Already compiled a list. If I forgot someone, please correct me as I'm posting from memory (Flipping pages on the phone is tiresome,)!

The Cloaked One- NE Male Aasimar Ninja/Dread (Boogeyman [Ravenloft Version] Template)
Gurwen the Blood Maiden- LE Female Elf Wizard/Ranger (Unknown Template)
Veldrin d’Shraen- CE Male Drow Wizard/Oracle (Lich Template?)
Jaq- CE Male Aasimar Inquisitor/Summoner (Half Fiend Template?)
Vincent “Fleming”- CE Male Tiefling Alchemist/Ranger (Half Dragon Template?)
Kaishere Fameri- LE Male Tiefling Rogue/Sorceror (Half Fiend Template?)
Asil Twice-Damned- LE Male Human Antipaladin/Sorceror (Half Dragon Template)
Wade Willhelm- LE(NE Ts) Male Aasimar Death Mage/Oracle (Highborn Nosferatu Template?)
Drazhar the Bloody- LE Male Human Ranger/Cleric (Unknown Template)
Kermah Orletithar- ? Male Suli Bloodrager/? (Half Dragon Template?)

EDIT: I know I did not list archetypes, racial subtypes, ect., but I'm about to get some classwork done instead of posting. Well, assuming I can focus that long on it. Sort of hard to focus on class lectures when you know all of the materials. Sad that college is elementary :P!

Alright, so I decided on my progression.

Bloodrager/Rogue with dips in Monk of Many Styles and Oracle (Lame).

Regarding "Arrow": awesome show! And season 2's started off quite nicely.

If Drahzar acquires a template it will probably be half-fiend, with him then proceeding to try to find a loophole to save his soul, or whatever he sold in exchange for the power.

Kermah, sounds good!

The Cloaked One and Monkeygod, I've only seen Arrow once or twice, mostly because I didn't find out about it until near the end of the first season. Is it really good?

Drahzar, ah there are few things more fun than a GM and a PC locked in a battle of wits, the prize being who claims the characters soul! I'm VERY adept at legalese, so if you get picked, prepare to deal with GModeus! *I can't do my evil laugh without some pyrotechnics and cheesy glue-on horns!*

How's those submissions coming along, those who haven't indicated completion?

Pathfinder Adventure, Rulebook Subscriber

Reworking my equipment (hadn't put the actual weight I was carrying up before) and a few fluff changes. Was giving Deirdre more of a personality, fixed Jaqs age and applied his second FC bonus. Just want to do a double check of his crunch, one last time, before I declare completion.

Excellent, Kana, I can go ahead and mark you down as COMPLETE.

Ok, so Kana, Whack-a-Rogue, KatsuneSage, and Browman are pretty much complete. Monkeygod will be complete this afternoon. That leaves Jing the Bandit, Origami Revelry, Lord Foul II, Valdast, and Xentik to finish up characters. Then the SELECTION MAY BEGIN!

Shadow Lodge

sorry I took so long.
I had a paper/presentation/final due today in "rhetoric and research" and that took up all my time, but that's over now, woooo
character finalized for submission!!!!!
you allow drawbacks (negative traits) yes?

just for curiosity I copied the "about Wade Wilhelm" into a word document
at 12 point font the copied section was 9 pages long

as a note, I do have one piece of equipment that my character had before being captured that he would like back
a single dragon tooth on a necklace
(trait given, "red handed fetish" trait grants fire resist 2)

Re: "Arrow" show: it took a couple episodes to get going, but once it settled into its groove, it's very good. Kind of like "The Cape" with elements of "Smallville." Definitely worth a second look if you have the time.

Shadow Lodge

strike that,
apparently I somehow put the "skills and racial abilities" sections in there twice somehow...
not sure how that happened
I'm going to go through that and fix that
shouldn't take too long

Arrow is amazing, from 7pm, with like a hour and a half break at 11pm to watch the Daily Show n Colbert Report and catch up online, to 4am, I watched all the remaining episodes.

The last few episodes punch you in the gut, hug you close and then dragon uppercut you in the groin.

Shadow Lodge

I loved the first season of arrow, I saw it on netflix

Looks like 5/9 complete! Most excellent!

Wade, yes I allow drawbacks and yes, you will get your item back if selected. I know all about college work taking up a lot of time, trust me! 5 Essays a course for the maximum course load, plus 16 200-400 page books to read and reference in the papers, about 20 books of independent reading, the formulation of a research study, and all the real-life stuff apart from college all adds up to a lot of work!

The Cloaked One, it sounds interesting to me. I may just watch it sometime, if I find the time to. College work, working on a research study, running 3 (Soon to be 4) PBPs and my home-game (On hiatus temporarily until another PC can be found,), parties, video games, reading books, expanding my knowledge base, and socializing extensively tend to keep me from finding free time! Oh, and soon, charity work as well! :P

I like to frontload all of my mechanics, so I know what's going to happen. (I'm not as familiar with character building as some, so it takes me a bit longer than most.)

Shadow Lodge

question
would stealing the bones of a deceased important religious figure be considered "desecration"? or possibly "high theft" because I find that the "grave robber" is rather sub par by comparison
if that doesn't count, then I shall stick with grave robber
once that issue is settled I'm done

Kermah, that is understandable and a good strategy, I always plan through level 20!

Wade, your choice, as it is all of those things. However, desecration would be the most serious crime, and likely the one that you are charged with.

Shadow Lodge

cool, I'll take that one then

Shadow Lodge

I think I am done, I feel that he is as good a sociopath as he can be without me staring at it for five or more days willing the character to be better. Consider me Done

Oh! Before I forget (meant to post this last night), here's a link to a thread that's really helpful for PbP advice.

Link to the thread

Blade, are you opposed to us using things like the following for languages?

"এই মহাজাগতিক হয়."

Celestial:
This is Celestial.

Kana, as long as you spoiler it so I can see what it is, I'm fine with it. I usually use words to convey the sense of 'I hear it, but have no clue what it means'. Most people can't impromptu create a language like that, so feel free to use Sanskrit, Bengali, Arabic, or whatever other alternate alphabet to simulate non-Common languages.

The completions are stacking up!

Hey GM, are we using a specific setting, like Golarion maybe?

Shadow Lodge

for the sake of amusement
who would I pick as the members of the group

myself (duh)

the cloaked one

gurhwen (she, along with myself, but mostly her, was the one to start this, she should get in, plus, she's the only female, which always strikes me as wierd)

Kermah Orletithar (what can I say I've grown attached, esp if druid is chosen)

hmm I'm not sure who I would give the last slots too...

maybe drahazer and..... uh... hmm the submissions are all quite nice...
maybe random selection?
get the selected players to vote?
gah
...
heh..
when people were submitting their characters I sorta pegged certain PCs I would prefer to play with, but when i actually try to rank them it's rather difficult, heh,
no matter who is in the final selection, if any were to die, leave or quit, I would PM the remaining, as they are all good characters,
good luck to all,
good luck on choosing

fingers crossed everybody :)

(if anybody has a problem with me posting this, tell me and I will take it down if I am aware in time)

** spoiler omitted **

you might want to try these sites

this is a decent general DnD translator
this is an excellent draconic translator
whereas this is a well done Drow translator,

Thanks Blade, I happen to use the following:

Celestial - টেস্টিং (Bengali)
Abyssal - ტესტირება (Georgian)
Infernal - परीक्षण (Hindi)

Those are just my preferences, and I like adding the Visual Element. I always try to spoiler tag it with the language it is.

Shadow Lodge

@Kana TY very much. That will help hopefully with me keeping a decent and steady format for posting I think. I've bookmarked it for easy reference ^^

The quality of characters submitted to a way of the wicked campaign is almost always higher than any other recruitment I have seen, so not only do you get a large volume of entries but normally you could make at least 2 full parties of awesome characters.

Thanks to those who provided alternate language formats. The only one I'll probably use will be Draconic (since Kermah still only has 6 Int and I had to take a rank in Linguisitics to get Draconic...)

Shadow Lodge

no problem :) I'm always happy to help :)

Shadow Lodge

hey cloaked one!
I found a feat that is just made for you

Sow Terror (Monster)
Bugbears are stealthy, and sometimes they use their skill at furtiveness to inspire dread in their prey.

Prerequisite: Stealthy.

Benefit: Anytime you win an opposed Stealth check by 5 or more you might sow terror as a standard action. You do so by scraping your nails slightly on a solid surface, causing a board to creak ever so lightly, or rapping on a window pane. The victim cannot detect the source of the sound and dismisses it as the wind or some other mundane source, but the idea that something might be lurking nearby festers in the victim’s subconscious. The victim must roll a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Charisma modifier) or become shaken for 1d4 rounds.

Also, Cloaked One. I think that we'll end up doubling up for the Intimidate side of things. It'll be fun.

Shadow Lodge

yesssss
I (and possibly gurhwen) can be the carrot, the two of you can be the stick

oh hey! after some heavy decision making and brainstorming i've decided to take the variant tiefling heritage daemon-spawn (+2 dex, +2 int, -2 wis) and the variant racial ability that gives me +2 to charisma and replaces the darkness ability! i will adjust the stats accordingly.

@Lord Foul II: It's a pretty cool feat, but I can take the Incite Fear terror at Level 2. Does almost the same thing and doesn't cost me two feats. :-)

@Kermah: That would be pretty awesome!

@Origami: Just a heads-up, usually you're supposed to take the Fiendish Heritage feat and roll 3d100 in order to pick that variant racial ability. Not sure how GM's going to rule, though.

Sczarni

@Origami yeah, that's normally a crap shot feat. (I've used it only once when I didn't know what I was gonna play and the party was well rounded) But some GMs will let you pick so maybe ^^

Origami, you may pick your Tiefling ability. That feat is garbage to me lol!

Shadow Lodge

fair enough
though from your backstory/character description I would have thought you would have maxed out stealth anyway

Shadow Lodge

~Blink blink and then stare at character sheet~ If'n that is the case....That merits a thought or two

Pathfinder Adventure, Rulebook Subscriber

@Cloaked One: According to Blood of Fiends, the feat is not required.

Sczarni

So...do you give up your 1/day to get that or take the feat to get it GM?
