I've ran this in person last week and it plays a lot better in person. I did take some liberties in pushing the game , where there is nothing else to be gained at the leads, in interest it doesn't stall unnecessarily. But it does make for some roleplaying gaps.
To summarize what has happened so far without spoilers, a crazy headless being is on the loose, that causes people to go insane(?), Amenopheus believes this creature has some connection to the scarab artefacts and has great interest in the creature as a result.
So far you've investigated the ruins from where the creature originated from, and now are investigating three leads/victims who have had some contact with the headless fiend in hopes to seek out this creature.
Sometime through your investigation, an agent of Grandmaster Torch shows up and offers his aid in tracking down the creature.

I typically avoid botting characters unless it would be really obvious to me what their character would do or if there are clear bot instructions.
