FYI: I haven't taken Rowena's action this round yet as I want to see how many of the bandits succumb to Tass' sleep spell first. As soon as the GM is able to post that, I'll make my post. Sorry for the wait.

Sheoll Blackflame |

Not dead, but almost. If someone can get to him in the next round Sheoll will live (assuming we win or drive off the bandits)
In other news, I'm going out of town tonight and won't be back till Sunday night. I'm not sure if I'll have internet, so feel free to bot as needed.
...hopefully I'll still have a character when I return. :)

Rowena Hunter |

Alex, hope you're okay.
I'm with Tass, would like to hear one way or the other ... poor Ro isn't doing too well -- neither is unconscious Sheoll (although good that he auto stablised).

Rowena Hunter |

Looking forward to your update, GM Aneirin.
And I have found that this game is the only one of all my Paizo games with the consistent low dice rolls. Very strange, indeed.

Sheoll Blackflame |

Sorry about the lack of posting, folks. I had not been feeling well the last few days. I'm doing better now, though, so I'll be back in it. :)

GM Aneirin |

Due to circumstances beyond my control relating to various aspects of my life (family, work, and health) I am afraid that, for the time being, I must leave the games for now. I apologize for not posting sooner, but, as stated, things have gotten beyond hectic in my life.
I am sorry for any troubles this may pose in the games. I wish you all the best in both life and games, and who knows? Maybe in the near future I will be able to play with you all once again in a different game.

Rowena Hunter |

I am sorry to see this game come to an end. I'm wishing you well in all the RL stuff, GM Aneirin. May things turn around for you. Thank you. Until next we meet.
To all my fellow players, thank you for the time and interaction -- it was a pleasure! Happy gaming to you all. :)

Tassira Vantyev |

And it's done!
Now to wait and see if anyone is interested.

Alexander Medvyed |

Sorry to hear that you are leaving GM Aneirin. Hope things become less hectic for you.
As to the idea of finding a new GM I am open to it. I would like to see how far we can go in the game.

Hey guys I am thinking about taking over the DM duties for your game.
Right now I only have book one and two of KM.
DC posted a recruitment thread so I am here. He also indicated you guys have not gotten very far into it.
My rules "way of doing things" is listed in my profile. We can adjust some of those if we need to.
Any questions????

Rowena Hunter |

Hello, KenderKin.
I read the rules on your profile page and am fine with them. Once all the group has read them over, we can discuss them.
Thank you for considering taking over as GM.

Issue #1
It seems like Initiative will be lopsided either for or against the PC's depending on the circumstances. Why do you prefer this method over straight averaged group rolls?
Issue #2
I like how you do past dialogue for times when things move on.
Issue #3
Total agree DMing is hard enough.
Issue #4
I believe everyone already has that set up so shouldn't be an issue
Issue #5
I am not following you when you talk about the map in tab? Though I can appreciate what your talking about when it comes to game map layouts potentially restricting logical action.
Issue #6
Talking out spell targeting can be tricky when people have different takes on the actual layout of the battle field but a answer to #5 may clear that up. But as long as the DM isn't actively trying to shaft the players with there own spell I am content.
Issue #7
shouldn't be an issue the biggest thing is that our group is stretched out around the world so it some times takes a bit for people to respond because of the time differences. We did have someone quit over it so I thought it should be mentioned.
Issue #8
I don't have an issue with critical fumbles. My own personal take on it is that they should never do direct harm to the player or group. just hamper and complicate. Auto criting on a 20 could be a monster but considering everyone has full hit points I don't see it being too bad. It does change the weight of some feats/powers etc. but meh.
Issue #9
I like hero points and I don't see any major changes from the normal rules so yeaaaa.

KenderKin |
For #1
Most of the time when I post NPC's I go ahead and let them roll initiative.
It is then up to each PC to have an opportunity to "win" initiative for you all as an entire group.
Example:
5 Small Twisted Trees break into the camp!
Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Beat that!
Then PC's each roll until at least one person wins (if no one rolls higher then the monsters act first)
Reasoning/logic

Tassira Vantyev |

Issue 1: I can work with that way of doing initiative.
Issue 2: Likewise.
Issue 3: Alright. I can do that as well.
Issue 4: Already taken care of.
Issue 5: I'm with Alex on this--what, exactly, do you mean when you prefer to use a map in tab?
Issue 6: Alright--can do.
Issue 7: Posting isn't an issue for me, and I'll be sure to let you know if it becomes one.
Issue 8: Can't say I'm especially enthused by the idea of critical fumbles (if that's what you're going for), but I'll work with it.
Issue 9: Yay Hero Points! :D

KenderKin |
#5 Just having a map of the area without always going through the idea that you are in a 10X10 room where you could just as easily retreat to the 5X20 hallway. Often it is like a boxing match each fighter goes into the "ring" and fights it out, but realistically I let the players decide on tactics (if I make a map of a room some players feel obligated to use it).
I noticed that you are used to having certain links included at the top of the page, that is what I am talking about.
#8 no critical fumbles, it is just a miss (nothing more and nothing less). I dislike critical fumbles, and do not use them.

Alexander Medvyed |

I honestly hate the group blocks for Init for many reasons but I understand. Play by post can get bogged down enough without waiting for each person to detail there actions in order.
That makes sense with the maps and is appreciated that you are throwing the notion that we don't have to stick with just wants on the map. on spell placement with the features available it seems easy enough for players to use the drawings or prefab pics for spell placement to ease any ambiguity but again I don't see much of a problem either way.
Sorry for the misunderstanding on critical fumbles. The smiley threw me off
