Insanity is an instantaneous effect. So no magic there anymore. Just a squishy brain. Which raises the question how to diagnose that.
Spugnoir is obviously confused, no doubt about that. At least Abomentolor has experienced that himself temporarily. But without checking in the spell description, it is not obvious how to fix that.
Best guess would be to hit him with a heal spell, as that cures almost everything.
Another thing: The Sihedron would have resurrected Grergof immediately with a true resurrection if he would have been killed. Also every transfer of the star also heals all involved additionally.
Intelligence +1 (+1 3rd level extract)
HP 4+2+1=6

Discovery: Force Bomb: When the alchemist creates a bomb, he can choose to have it inflict force damage. Force bombs deal 1d4 points of force damage, plus 1d4 points of force damage for every odd-numbered level, instead of 1d6. Creatures that take a direct hit from a force bomb are knocked prone unless they succeed on a Reflex save.
Male Gnome Elemental Sorcerer (16) - Ini +9 - HP 128 - AC 18(26) / 18(18) / 15(23) - Fort +15 / Ref +15 / Will +18 (+5 cloak/+1 Stone/+1 Horseshoe)) - Perception +7 - Concentration +27
Abomentolor also got better at magicking. I've lost track of our wealth. Do we have some spare coin? Because Abomentolor would like to buy a page of spell knowledge for the second level spell Drain Construct. Which is 9000gp.
@Spugnoir
Why would you leave the golem behind? I thought it was in cloud form too? How else would it have come along? Or do you mean leave behind in Magnimar?
Dust of dryness is the only thing I think of that gets rid of water, but just in a limited area.
I'm guessing passwall or discentigrate would do it in the right spot so it all drains.
Or we could head back to the city to report and tell the Emperor that we will tell them of his magnificent return. I have water breathing extracts and we can get Monkey Fish potions.
Before we roll, Spugnoir, I think you are the one who looks for traps, so I think you should have the star right now so you can use that to boost your perception roll if you want.
Did slashing do anything different then before?
I'm tying to figure out what DR this creature has.... It can't be material, Alignment or Incorporeal, as my Flail would pass that...
So I'm assuming it's got to be slashing or piercing, but it seems like slashing does not work.
Unless there's some other sort of DR that I don't remember?
I don’t have anyone in mind. High level pathfinder is something of its own beast. And I have no idea who would want to play at this level.
As for the wayfinder.
Nice clue Spugnoir. If we set up a doorway back at the manor (which I assume we did) that would totally be a way to get in and out of here using word if recall and setting another on on a doorway here.
Nah, woiuldn't work. That is another league of magic. You'd need a cleric of Darius' knowledge and then still a day to prepare the two spells needed to get rid of it.
Well, now lets hope that some new stranger can heal Supgnoir of his issues...
In that vein, welcome Ardan! Not sure what Foxy told you about us, but we are very glad to have a new player willing to deal with the high level crazy with us.
OK, normally I would let Grergof spiral a bit to react to the long term loss of a companion, but Given 1) This is PBP and 2) I seem to be the only PC that story wise can move the story forward, do you want me to just get over it and move us to meeting a new characters?
Why not move to meet a new character and not skip the RP part? Like, there are things to do and places to be, but there will be time over a beer later to mull over the loss. If that fits your idea. I'm not sure what spiraling means in this context.
I know I'm slow walking this, but I'm trying to make this seem semi-realistic, and not just the scene from the gamers. :)
Grergof just watched his longest companion die and is in the anger stage of grief, where he feels it's his fault.
So bringing another person isn't really something he would do without thinking.
