Foxy just wondering. Since this AP appears close to being over…. Are you thinking of starting anything new after this ends?

I’ve played the first couple books of CotCT and loved them. I really wanted to continue but I think the game has died.
I’d be excited to play that again (and continue on) if Foxy you don’t mind that I might remember some spoilers out of character. I really wanted to see where that story went.

Plus Urban stories can be so much more fun to roleplay the just being murder hobos.

Foxy I agree with your thoughts on both Skull and Shackles and Giantslayer. Both didn’t really thrill me (although I think it was my fault the S&S game fell apart. I just wasn’t feeling the forced marriage plot.). Iron Gods is the only other one on that list I would be leery about doing, as I’m not huge on science fantasy. But I’ll trust you all if You say IG is good as I know zero about it.

For me I can have fun with most anything.

Hmmm…. Has anyone seen an unchained rogue work?
I’m half tempted to see if I can get a rogue shadow dancer to be competitive.

Of course I may have just have been watching a ton of Leverage, so that might have something to do with it.

I usually fill holes where convenient... How many characters is Foxy thinking of? He said at least 4 players and he often runs a GMPC (which would make 5...) Sounds like you're thinking sneak/skill of some sort and Spugnoir is going brute, so I could fill arcane maybe. Alternatively I could do a second brute type. But I don't think I want to be the major divine caster, unless no one else will do it.

Ya Divine Caster may be the hard one to fill.

I played a cleric in my last CotCT campaign, so I’d prefer not to do that again in this one so I have less chance of mixing up the two stories in my head.

I meant four or five players that are not me. As games tend to lose players over time and I then fill up with either a nice NPC or take over the abandoned character, but I would prefer to start with a number that delays that.

I’m hearing lots of dwarves with darkvision…. Any chance we are looking at a semi stealthy party? (SWAT/Special Forces).
Or will this be more of the dwarves phalanx that waves of enemies crash on but never moves? (Dwarven Defenders)

Of course we could have one Human female bard followed by a bunch of dwarves…

I might not be popular with this opinion, but perhaps having only one summon spell going at a time? Less work for Foxy with the damage/tokens

It’s the last fight, and Arden is doing all the rolling. Unless Foxy complains I don’t see a problem with pulling out all the stops.
This is supposed to be the epic capstone fight with a literal legend after all.

That said in general, I would agree with you if this was a regular tactic, just for the speed of the game.

Well, given the proposed, I figure a half-elf Sorcerer (probably a sage bloodline, because I am not a fan of low skill points).

Yikes this thing is a beast….. with healing I might have one more round I can tank but then I’m probably out….

High 30 AC not evil, fast heal 20 and it hits like me against undead. Maybe we need to try different tactics.

But that burst will mess us all up if we get close and if it corners anyone else they are dead.

With a Charisma of 13, my dwarf can navigate social situations decently - but Clerics only get 2 skills ranks, and so far she's only trained in Diplomacy.

Ok, character creation rules:
- 25 point buy. No 20 in a stat at start. No dump stats (<10).
- BG Skills.
- Only Paizo Stuff.
- CRB, APG, UC, UM as a given, everything else needs approval.
- 200gp starting wealth for everyone.
- Two traits, doesn't have to be from this AP, but please none from other APs

Also a hint: I'm really bad at trackin debuffs on the monsters. So if you go that route the main spell you'll be casting will be the cantrip Remind GM.

Can I use any or all of the following in my build:
1) From Pathfinder Unchained Unchained Rogue class
2) From Melee Tactics Toolbox :
A) Feat: Circling Mongoose
B) the weapon: Elven Branched Spear and the Feat Phalanx Formation
C) Feat: Press to the Wall
3) From Adventures Armory: TraitHeirloom Weapon
4) From Advanced Race Guide: either of the following Alternate Racal Traits Envoy or Silent hunter. Both can be found in the middle of the Elf entry.

Obviously feel free to say yes or no on each different item. These are all just options I’m throwing around in my head.

Before reading the last sentence about options my thought was, A and B don't match. Also, an Elven Branched Spear is nothing that turns up in loot very often and while going to a smith and exchanging a +2 for a +3 longsword for paying the difference is no problem, you might have to wait a few days for your very special weapon to be upgraded if you're not in an elven capital.

Oh ya A and B don’t match at all. Still debating on weapons:

A is if I stick with a rapier as those should be pretty common. That would combine with Canny Tumble to make multiple sneak attacks possible but very dangerous.

B is my thought on how I can use that combat reflexes feat I have to pick up if I’m going Shadowdancer. Plus I can stand behind our smash face dwarf in an hallway and still attack.

Pretty dangerous if you're low on HP and easy to hit. Admittedly Elves don't offer themselves for high Con values, but if you have points to spare or a feat left over - Abomentolor has 2nd most HP in the whole party as a sorcerer. You can build almost every class for the frontline ;)

The immediate threat should be past and as far as I know nobody is threatened.. Grergof is fine waiting a day or two.

We can plan spells (control water, water breathing, touch if the sea….) and sell stuff/distribute the Ioun stones.

But I’d say we grab the Crystal before we go and see what happens to the palace.
