Brother Grergof Varsk |

Ok so reading that we end with 71000 after we sell everything.
Now we have the cost of the Ioun Stone (5K) so that ends up with 16,500 each right?

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

I'd say we end up with 71000 for the group and see who needs what? Abomentolor could always spend endless money on stuff, but I have nothing he really needs at the moment.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

OK, here's what I'd like to have...
Upgrade Adamantine Heavy Flail + 1 to +2 (6000 GP)
Upgrade my Masterwork composite longbow (STR + 4) to a +1 Adaptive Composite Longbow (3000 gp)
Take Evil Andy's Armor and add Glamored (+ 2700)- Sorry a Paladin of Sarenrae just can't walk around in all black armor like a black knight... It just doesn't fit my head cannon.
It would be really nice if I could add Ghost Touch onto that armor but that would be an additional 15k and I understand completely if others have stuff they want.

Darius Redgrave __ |

Excuse me sir, but your frilled shirt and bloomers sound like a stack of metal bowls being shuffled around. Is everything alright?
Darius would like to improve his armor too.
12k to improve breastplate to +4
8.5k for Ring of force shield.
This would push the AC from 23 to 27.
If there is still money left, Improving the ring of protection and amulet of natural armor beyond +1 would be the next options.

Darius Redgrave __ |

On second thought, the ring of force shield is not necessary. Darius can cast shield of faith which gets a better shield bonus. And his damage is negligible, so the lost action in combat is no issue, if there was no time to buff up. So it's rather 6k to improve the ring of protection.
What about Spugnoir?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Should we still be 15th level with a -2 level Drain, or did finding this shard remove one of the level drains?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

I can wait.... We really did wade through the last encounters without too much problem except for the wall of force.
Spugnoir your thoughts?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

So make Darius and Abomentolor get rid of the negitive level, and let the other two suffer... It seems to work fine to me :)

Darius Redgrave __ |

Wind Walk (the currently active spell for our travel)
You alter the substance of your body to a cloud-like vapor (as the gaseous form spell) and move through the air, possibly at great speed. You can take other creatures with you, each of which acts independently.
Normally, a wind walker flies at a speed of 10 feet with perfect maneuverability. If desired by the subject, a magical wind wafts a wind walker along at up to 600 feet per round (60 mph) with poor maneuverability. Wind walkers are not invisible but rather appear misty and translucent. If fully clothed in white, they are 80% likely to be mistaken for clouds, fog, vapors, or the like.
A wind walker can regain its physical form as desired and later resume the cloud form. Each change to and from vaporous form takes 5 rounds, which counts toward the duration of the spell (as does any time spent in physical form). As noted above, you can dismiss the spell, and you can even dismiss it for individual wind walkers and not others.
For the last minute of the spell’s duration, a wind walker in cloud form automatically descends 60 feet per round (for a total of 600 feet), though it may descend faster if it wishes. This descent serves as a warning that the spell is about to end.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Ahh forgot that part of the spell.... Now it's just if the others want to do that.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Can I retcon based on actions.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

It’s the giants turn right?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

I added on to last round, if you can look at that... Mr Goblinburner might appreciate my swift action I almost forgot about.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Doh, targeting…. So if I don’t have a valid target, did I spend the spell?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

I wouldn’t mind the ring + 4. Does anyone else want it?

Spugnoir2 |

+3 breastplate, +2 heavy wooden shield, +1 morningstar, belt of giant strength +4, Shard of Wrath.
At the end of the room, the sleeping place, stands a dented chest with a 900 pound rock on top. Among the furs lying on the floor are found: a small mithral dagger, a Medium +1 handaxe, a selection of long iron bars all bent into knots, a massive silver tankard etched with rams attacking stirges worth 300 gp, an iron bottle containing an elixir of love, a mummified horse’s head with a silver tooth worth 25 gp, a masterwork manacle attached to a wooden beam covered with 54 tiny notches, two huge kegs of cider, and a suit of half-plate horse barding scattered around the place in pieces. No fewer than 21 pots of honey lie amid 43 empty and shattered pots

Also from the room:
Inside the chest is a trio of exceptionally high quality furs worth 400 gp each, an average-locked iron box welded to a long chain that contains three bags of 1,000 sp and a bag of 1,002 gp, a stout iron bound chest with a rod of enemy detection thrust through the latch where the lock once was (this chest contains seven gold-plated dwarf skulls worth 200 gp each), a huge jug with a silver handle worth 200 gp, a cider keg brimming with copper coins (4,319 cp in all), a +3 arrow of ooze slaying, and a small cork box containing a rolled-up scroll of heal tucked into a ring of protection +4.
Darius Redgrave __ |

As it is in the chest with the random crap the giants collected, I'm really happy we are no oozes. There have to be some ooze hunters running wild down in the dungeon.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Hey I can finally log back in!!!!
The site has not let me log in for a month.

Foxy Quickpaw |

That's torture. I had that for half a day and it was horrible.
In case it repeats you can check at the bottom of the page the "Recent threads in Play-by-Post XYZ". There was a time a while ago where the newest post was up to 7 hours old. Clear sign that the site screwed up and no one could log in.
But once the posts resumed there I tried browser change, cookie clearing, last resort would have been reboot. Browser change did the trick and browser restart (which clears cookies as per my settings) of my standard browser made that work too again.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Oh I tried 3 different devices. Ended up having to blow away all the cookies on every device then it finally worked.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Who has the new shard?
Spugnoir?

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Not clarified yet. But the idea was that you get it and hand your current one to Darius. But of course power mongering Abomentolor would take all of the preciousssss.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Hey who has the shard of wrath? What. Does it do?

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Should I start ripping arms off.

Foxy Quickpaw |

Hey who has the shard of wrath? What. Does it do?
It is in your bag of holding in hopes of not affecting you, because of extra-planar storing room.
If that doesn't work, here is the curse:
The owner becomes addicted to violence, and is sickened whenever she hasn’t brought a living creature to –1 hit points or fewer within the last hour. Once the owner attacks a creature, she must make a DC 20 Will save if she wants to cease attacking; otherwise, she does what she can to kill the creature.
That makes for bad sleep, but otherwise is pretty compatible with the life of an adventurer.

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Mr Gobinburner can you identify the stone?
I did:
... The snake does transmutation magic. It improves one's wisdom."[/b]
On touch the snake crumbles to dust, revealing an incandescent blue sphere ioun stone the thing had swallowed.
"Well, looks like it wasn't the snake that was magic."
The "incandescent blue sphere" is the obvious part that everyone can see.
I could have added the +2 WIS as ooc, but I don't think it fits the character to talk about boni in numbers.
Brother Grergof Varsk |

Lini gave us the ioun stone to make this safe already.
So we don't know the benefits.
Last I saw was: Putting the dark red sphere on the indentation of the shard, it merges with it. With the ioun stone in place of the shard, the shard grants a vision of where the next and last shard can be found.

Foxy Quickpaw |

Ah, so you meant what positive things the shard does.
The Shard of Wrath is made of sparkling silver
siccatite that feels hot one day, but cold the
next. As long as the Shard of Wrath is carried, its
owner can use fireball as a spell-like ability once
per day, gains a +2 insight bonus on saves versus
evocation spells, and gains a +2 insight bonus on all
weapon damage rolls.
Deep Red Sphere (Ioun Stone):
This stone grants the wearer a +2 enhancement bonus to Dexterity.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

So either we layer it on me to do more damage, or give it to Darius.
I think I make more attacks,
Would someone else want the Shard of Envy:
The Shard of Envy is made of shimmering green noqual. As long as the Shard of Envy is carried, its owner can use dispel magic as a spell-like ability once per day, gains a +2 insight bonus on saves versus abjuration spells and spell-like abilities, and gains a +1 insight bonus to AC.
I already have a dusty rose Ioun stone, so I already have the insight bonus to AC.... So it really would be better for someone else.
