Impasha is updated to 8th level.

If she can claim the shocking morning star, that will be her second attuned weapon for the ABP weapon bonus,

The cosmetic holy aura she now exhibits is a manifestation of her new Aura of Resolve, and should be expected to appear any time she's in a combat zone. I think each of her auras should have some physical outward sign, since they impact her allies. And I think it's nice karma that she got to be paladin-y for the blow that thrust her to 8th level -- it's like Iomedae recognized her valor and gave her an instant power-up mushroom.

Gave her skill points based on the sort of things she's been doing most over the last level - the new training in Knowledge (Nobility) should reflect the letters she's begun to write to her contacts back in Taldor and Absalom on behalf of Eluvias. A point in weaponsmithing since that's been one of her main downtime activities, a point in Survival for all the tramping in the wilds, and a point in Sense Motive as she assays all these new people and situations she's been finding herself in.

Her new 2nd level spell is Instant Armor from the APG. Basically replaces whatever she currently is wearing with level dependent force armor. Could be handy if we get jumped at night in camp or if we face an incorporeal creature.

There are lots of skills that Amadeen wouldn't bother with or wouldn't keep advancing if she wasn't Queen. Knowledge Nobility for example.

While not something I envisioned for her, Amadeen has turned out to be a decent Queen of th "does what has to be done" school.

Ah, I confuse them. Impasha is agnostic as regards Thornkeep, and she will leave behind her bag of horseshoes. Disregard the descriptions of her reluctance.


I messed up they have a special rule, not going to add it mechanically for the previous round but any strikes on this guy will take the effect.

"Whenever a character strikes a caryatid column with a weapon (magical or nonmagical), the weapon takes 3d6 points of damage. Apply the weapon’s hardness normally. Weapons that take any amount of damage in excess of their hardness gain the broken condition."

How do I fix Damage to it? Would mend work? Also I don’t plan to go down to 0 arcane pool, so it will be a moot point for awhile.

Also...

“ Energy Attunement (Su): At 5th level, as a free action, a magus can spend a point of his black blade’s arcane pool to have it deal one of the following types of damage instead of weapon damage: cold, electricity, or fire. He can spend 2 points from the black blade’s arcane pool to deal sonic or force damage instead of weapon damage. This effect lasts until the start of the magus’s next turn.”

If I spend 2 points to make it do acid damage, can I avoid it taking damage? If not, how about force?


Mend or make whole would help with the hit point damage like other magic items. If it got destroyed that would be more awkward.

As I see it even with acid or force damage your weapon would still take hit point damage as you're still striking it with the weapon. Thats my reading of the way the rule is worded however I think it's a creative work around so I'd be open to a more flexible interpretation. IE I'd house rule it to not take damage.

Thank you. I’ll spend the 2 points on force then, which in my mind makes it into more of a hand-held magic missile. Given that we are in house rule territory, it seems fairest to take the more expensive option

I’m really sorry. RL has been playing havoc. Today, for example...went to home inspection for house that I’m buying, leaving door at 8:30. After that dealing with mortgage documents and home insurance. Got back home at 5pm. Work day started, and I’ll finish up at around 10 tonight.

All of my games have fallen behind as work/family/home-loans-insurance has been juggled. And in the mix these games have fallen to the side. Sorry for the lack of communication. I’ll get caught up as soon as I’m able.

So...Eluvias is permanently polymorphed into a rabbit. With his mental stats decreased (intelligence 2) and alignment changed...I think that the chances of him coming back are slim to none. Plus I find it kind of funny to have this be his fate.

Isn't it possible to reverse a polymorph spell with Dispel Magic? There's only so many places Eluvias the Fluffy can run in here -- honestly the biggest danger is that he'll run into the arms of a wandering monster if we lose track of him for a while.

Impasha doesn't really know about such things, but she's been around enough high level clerics and wizards to know that pretty much any magic can be countered by more powerful magic. SO she's not going to give up on Little Cottontail yet! If nothing else, she'll get him home and put him in a nice hutch and take care of him. The kids at the orphanage would love a bunny.


Yeah you can... it might take a few tries though as dispel magic has a roll.

Amadeen does have it so he might be back in no time.

Hi all!

So first, I’m really, really, really sorry for disappearing. Despite all the things going on, I should have reached out and communicated with you all. I know I probably led some to worry about what had become of me. That was selfish. I didn't reach out to you, and I'm sorry.

Every time I’ve sat down to write and explain where I've been, I just haven’t known what to say...

I'm doing fine. During quarantine, despite having more time at home, I became ill at ease and just couldn't find the fun in many things that I had before. Other things took their place and absorbed my time. As far as play-by-post, I had worked it into being part of my weekly schedule in such a way that the disruption in working from home just completely threw me for a loop. My interest waned. Any effort to return felt forced, and so I’ve stayed away. And the longer I waited, the more permanent my decision seemed. I wasn't ready to step away from my games. Now, I can recognize that my decision is made.

I want to thank you for having me with you on your adventures. It’s really meant so much. Play-by-post has been such a large part of my life, and I’ve had the chance to interact with such phenomenal people that I never would have connected with otherwise. To step away has felt like leaving home.

But I am still not ready to return. I might be ready again, maybe one day soon. If so, I look forward to seeing what you’re all up to.
