Hi there, Lareg!
I've been wiped with a cold... then felt rough today. Now I'm awaiting a covid-19 test. I hope to catch up again soon.

Take care of you Amadeen. Hope your test comes back negative. Hope to get things moving today in terms of character update.
EDIT: So stats. I am most familiar with point builds so I need a little clarification here. "Stats: 4d6 Keep the best three. Assign them as you like." So how many 4d6 do I roll here for each stat?
| Eluvias the Grim |
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (4, 5, 6, 5) - 4 = 16
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 5) - 1 = 15
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 6) - 3 = 14
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 6) - 1 = 16
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 3) - 1 = 10
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 1) - 1 = 11
16/16/15/14/11/10
And...that's an amazing roll. 33 points! Wish I could have used it! But that's how you roll your stats.

Ok, my previous rolls for Ana when I first made the character are below (see original post). That looks like it lines up. I just wasn't sure if that was the same thing. Thank you.
Ability 1: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 6) = 23-5 =18 (17), CHA
Ability 2: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 1) = 12-1=11 (1), DEX
Ability 3: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 6) = 17-1=16 (10), STR
Ability 4: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 1) = 14-1=13 (3), CON
Ability 5: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 1) = 5-1=4 (-4 or more), WIS
Ability 6: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 3) = 11-1=10 (0), INT

Cheers!
No COVID, thankfully. But it did turn out to be a sinus infection. Cue ongoing antibiotics, which are slowly killing it.
Just popping in for a bit.

Cheers! I'm feeling the healthiest I have in a while!

I'm giving you a fairly blank cheque though we have an interesting twist that Impasha has picked up on... the River Kingdoms and landlocked. Though there's plenty of lakes even at a stretch you'd have to go to the other side of the River Kingdoms to see Lake Encartan or Brevoy to get to Lake of Mists and Veils... both a huge and I could see someone refering to a coastal cave by one of them as a sea cave easily enough!
Given they're in a place flowing through time differently (and have met the man who gave them the quest to come in here before he had left to give them the quest) she could be from a lot further afield time wise as well. I'm willing to roll with the blows, that said very far off limits how much her background can come into play but I have notions.

Dusty rose prism, cracked nascent gray sphere, flawed torquise sphere, a scarlet and green cabochon, and a dark blue rhomboid. I've switched some of these out since we're not using stat enhancing items so these might be more fun.
Really good stuff here!
Dusty Rose Prism: +1 insight bonus to AC!
* Useful for anyone. I have AC 29 and Impasha 27, so it should probably go to her. I might buy one of my own in the future though.
Cracked Nascent Gray Sphere: This stone protects the wearer from one type of ability damage (such as Strength or Constitution) caused by natural or magical aging. It otherwise functions as a normal nacreous gray sphere ioun stone
* Good for RP purposes only as I don't think any of us will be hitting age categories. As an elf, Eluvias doesn't have much need.
Flawed Turquoise Sphere: +5 ride checks
* Anyone use ride? A very solid boon to it.
Scarlet and green cabochon: Endurance Feat
* Nice! Who could make the most use of that?
Dark blue rhomboid: Alertness Feat
* Another good one. Any character could make use of this.

We haven't heard from Amadeen in several weeks. I'm worried about a Kingmaker campaign with an afk monarch.
Regarding the ioun stones, Ride is definitely a skill that benefits a paladin, so Impasha would take the +5 Ride check (Turquoise Sphere). The two elves may not be interested in the stone that protects against aging effects, but it definitely interests a human (Gray Sphere). And the +1 AC bonus seems to me to be the real prize in the bunch (Rose Prism)-- Impasha would happily use that but I feel greedy putting in a claim on 3 of the 5 stones. And is there a limit on the number of pebbles you can have tumbling around your head?

In that spirit I'd recommend we take this back to town for a while, until Amadeen is ready to rejoin us. It'll be easier to role-play amongst ourselves in a downtime setting, and we shouldn't begin a new dungeon crawl without her.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Still not clear here. I'm hoping to catch up in the new year.

No problem, it's been causing problems for a lot of people. Clearing caches and trying different browsers often seems to help.
I'm just trying to include a bit of interaction with some of the named NPCs now ye are back in town.
I've tried to get the last round of Kingdom building going a few times but people seem to be less enthusiastic about it at this point. We can always have that fade into the background and abstract it.

I still don't completely understand how the Kingdom Building mechanic works, but mainly I was saving that for when Amadeen returned, since she's the queen after all. At this point Impasha is not officially invested with any role in the Kingdom per se, and has no authority to make decisions about how to spend the Kingdom's resources. And from a roleplaying standpoint, she's happy with that, preferring to spend her downtime helping the orphans and pounding out a few horseshoes.

What are we doing here, folks? Are we still waiting for Amadeen? I'm at a loss.
I'm feeling frustrated because I love the possibilities in this character and have so many ideas for aspects of her history and personality I want to explore, but there just doesn't seem to be anywhere for me to direct that energy.

I've been kind of avoiding this for a while, I knew about a week or so back I really should get around to it but kept finding excuses to push it off one more day. For the last half a year or so I've just been floundering and then playing catch up every month or so. I hate abandoning groups but continuing as is isn't fair on people either. I'm going to be dropping out of all of the games I'm playing in and most I am GMing except two which are near the end.
The last year has thrown me out of routine with the games, the pandemic is bad enough but there's some personal stuff that looks like it's coming up that'll be making things more awkward. I've enjoyed GMing and playing but it's just not something I can do right now.
I'm going to try to wrap up Fall of Plaguestone and Rise of the Runelords.
