I have a few questions real fast. Based on what we can see or tell.
1.) With holding Shemis, can I cast? That is, do I have a free hand? Without dropping her.
2.) Can I Channel Energy? I do have multiple "slotless" Holy Symbols.
3.) What is the dome made of? Stone, metal, other material? From what we can readily see.
4.) Is the dome's ceiling 20ft up or are we 20ft up. Just for clarification. I'm guessing that the inner circle on the map is the beginning of the dome's arch, and at it's center are there three or four 5ft squares in between the floor and the ceiling. (It may matter if I Channel Energy which is 20ft radius)
5.) Heal: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 or Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 (if needed) How bad does Adril appear to be hurt?
6.) How hurt does Shemis appear? Heal: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
"You know, Adril, that no matter what you do, you will fail here. As much as I want to retaliate for what you have done. . . For what you have undone, you are not beyond redemption. Not yet. You can still turn back. It's not too late, but this may be your last chance. We where friends. Is your frustration with the Ten more important that that?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (13) + 25 = 38

Roos follows the red Adril and strikes again with his rapier
Holy Rapier: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23..DMG: 1d6 + 23 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 23 + (2, 1) = 27

Had the same question. How far up is Adril compared to the ground? I drew a little diagram to illustrate on the map.
I have the crazy idea of sundering his flying boots if I can reach him and we haven't killed him yet.

The questions are moot, but I would say 1. Yes to casting if you didn't have anything in your other hand. 2. Yes to channel. 3. The dome is made of some weird hybrid of metal and crystal. 4. You are 20'up. 5. Adril looked VERY hurt.
Adril looks at Ignatious even as the others begin to lay him low. He hears every word, even as the metal slits and punctures his flesh. "No... turning.... back...."
And with that his boots deactivate.
And with that those words become his last.
And with that the venture-captain falls.
And with that Shemis, member of the Decemvirate, is saved.
Shemis turns to Ignatious, "the threat is over. Please allow me to contact the others. I must call an emergency meeting of the remaining leaders. You have my, and by extension the entire Society's, gratitude."
As you head back into the tower others arrive. Drandle Dreng, Marcos, Kreighton, and soon other masked Pathfinders.
Osprey arrives with a grievously wounded Eliza. Apparently during the teleportation rip, she was shunted out somehow and beaten by some of Adril's lackeys. Osprey rescued her when you alerted him via his figurine.

4 months and 23 days ago we started Eyes of the Ten. It's been amazing. This is a great party and one of my favorite PFS experiences. You guys rock. Feel free to role-play any of the finishing touches. I'll have your chronicles tomorrow night. Osric, I know this is more than a retirement arc for the character, so I'm hoping you got to go out on top and enjoyed the series!

I'd also like to thank you (and the other players). I have got to say that this was, hands down, the my favorite PbP game ever.
Descending slowly to the ground after the danger is over, "You should have listened. It wasn't too late, save that you chose that path."
Afterwards, I'll call on my remaining energies to heal all, then nodding towards Shemis. "Are you all right? Earlier, you said that you didn't see this. What did you not see? I believe my friend Darius also has a question for you."

Dungeon Master S |

Means a lot coming from such a player/GM.
"I saw my death." She stares through the mask for a while. "Divination since the death of Aroden is an art at best. But all signs pointed towards my death."
She turns to Darius, "Oh?

Confused about the question I need to be asking? I doubt a member of the deviates would help me steal from them lol..
Catching his breath and dropping his gargoyle form.. "Well done all.. I can't believe that tricky bastard had us carrying him all the way to Shemis.. Pretty clever really.. So what now?"

Dungeon Master S |

Shemis looks at you each, intently. "What now? You're heroes of the Society. No doubt the choice of future is yours. Interested in being a Venture-Captain? Yours." She continues, some of her bravado returning, [b]"An apprentice? I imagine after this, you can have anything you want."

I just meant your Faction Mission. Not sure what it was, but I figured even if it was a secret, you could ask hints.
"I've long considered turning Haven into a lodge. There are so few of my kind left these days, after the purge, perhaps a place for them to train may be a good idea."

"a lodge? I'm sure you could build one and make it prosper."

Osric grimly takes in the words of Shemis.
"Anything we want? How about freedom from the Ten? Your solemn oath to never call me on one of these errands again, as well as never to look at me through one of those windows you have here? Is that a promise you could make and keep?"

![]() |

"perhaps. Truthfully, Pathfinders are who they are because that's what's inside of them. If you run your own lodge, you may be as involved or not as you wish. You all have achieved so much fame that you can do your own things."
She sighs, "but fame is a tricky mistress. You are powerful, and power attracts attention. "

[b]"Of course i would love to be a venture captain or run a lodge. In a nice city with clean air, have a budget for fine linens and clothing, a well stocked bar at the lodge, nightly performance by lodge stay-overs even if it is amateur hour...Why I bet Roak here could do awesome impersonations...and then hire someone to run it all for me so I can drink and live a carefree life in retirement...No, shame, then I guess I just want to get paid, and take a hot bath..."
Roos says to Shemis.
apologies for the posting catch ups, this time difference wrecks havoc on my PbP games. Was a hoot, I was surprised about visiting a different planet. Was not expecting that. I expected some investigation, then a dungeon crawl of sorts followed by an epic fight in each portion. Was pleasantly surprised. Just to avoid any confusion we started at exactly lvl 12. we finish at what now?

what time zone are you? You should end at 13 1/3. Yeah, the Akiton trip was very different and quite cool. Being a John Carter fan I dug it.

Shouldn't it be 13 2/3? Wasn't part 1 actually 2xp?

![]() |

oh yeah, I new that. I know Erik Mona is a big fan too. If you can get your hands on the Expendables books (nothing to do with the movies) I strongly recommend it for similar reasons.

Just wanted to make sure I didn't mess up. :P

A few things I need to check up on when I get more time to post:
1.) Natalya and Skelg
2.) travelling to <Andoran> and releasing the spook in my head
3.) The two women we left alive
4.) getting some more intel for GMT on the remaining memb, . . . I mean playing nice with the 10
5.) checking up on Condria and Kyalla. As promised, I have a Boon granting a free Remove Curse I'll try to use to free Condria, and perhaps I can try some of my healing to return Kyalla to her true self.

just so happens that I have answers for all of those. I'm on the road much of today, but will be ready tonight.

Had a great time guys. Thanks for the fun and all the R'Ping.
"Being a Venture Captain could have it's uses. The body recovery teams seem to be bottom of the pole in regards to resources and needs. Having some clout might be useful."
Looking to Roos, Roakar replies, "Nah Roos, I would die of boredom. You know me, I like being thrown into impossible situations, and coming out on the other side intact. I will however, booze with you whenever you need. I am in fact thinking of thanking Cayden Cailean with a week long binge after this. They love me at the Hall after I handled that bit with the abyss for them."
"You're all welcome to come along."
As the party breaks it separate way, Roakar hands you a folded piece of parchment. The hand writing is poor but legible.
"Ignatious,
I am glad to see the Shadow burns in though's who never joined. If you want to find your friends, visit east storage room C in 2 weeks time just after midnight. Your friend may or may not be there, but new ones surely will be.
Roakar "
Welcome to the Shadow Lodge. I figure whats the fun of being in a secret faction if you can't invite others who should be as well. If I can get my hands on another shadow lodge boon I plan on sending it to you, just to make it more official.

Dungeon Master S |

The party, now Venture-captains in their own right, takes a much needed break from plots and missions. It gives them the opportunity to tie up loose ends, and to see the ripples of their actions.
Skelg is totally lost. No amount of effort can seem to bring him back to the mortal realm. Natalya, her heart broken, decides to strike out on her own for parts unknown. Every once in a while she sends letters to Ignatious detailing her discoveries and the places she's been to, but never does it say where she is at the moment. She also takes care to make sure scrying is confounded. Clearly, she wishes to stay lost.
Ignatious takes a trip to Andoren. The people who know of his sacrifice are appreciative, but word never spreads far. The releasing of the soul does wonders for the Flame seeker as all ill effects of holding onto another's soul go away in time.
Condria is nowhere to be found. When you return to the Garden Maze, all signs of her are gone. Perhaps she was correct. Well, not all signs are gone. In her place where the party first met her is a grouping of 5 stone roses...
Kyalla is taken care of by Osprey. She is returned to normal, though she is another with a broken heart. To your trained eyes you can still see some holdover from her time. The way she uses her hands is slightly... off. Her posture is a bit hunched. Still, she seems to be making progress.
Osprey himself isn't at all changed. The man remains mysterious, and his ultimate motivations are an enigma, but he treats you with the utmost respect.
