iPhone posters: You can set up text replacement to easily enter the codes to post dice etc.
Go to "Settings"
"General"
"Keyboard"
"Text replacement"
I set mine up so if I type "zdice" it automatically changes it to: [dice=]1d20+[./dice] (without that period)
I also made zbold, zitalic, and zspoiler
Hope this helps someone!

Nice! That could be a big help for people who can't get Wayfinder.

I had an awesome time at Total Confusion, but am totally wiped due to lack of sleep & having to get immediately back to work. I'm going to try to catch up on reading all threads, but will trust y'all to bot me today if necessary. Be nice.

Fighter ability Focused Weapon:
Focused Weapon (Ex) The fighter selects one weapon for which he has Weapon Focus and that belongs to the associated fighter weapon group. The fighter can deal damage with this weapon based on the damage of the warpriest’s sacred weapon class feature, treating his fighter level as his warpriest level. The fighter must have Weapon Focus with the selected weapon in order to choose this option.

Sandor Stouthammer |

That's a nice feat, but I'm not sure I would have chose it for a 2d4 damage weapon. Average damage on a Falcion is (2+8)/2= 5 Average damage on a 1d10 weapon is (1+10)/2= 5.5 Greater weapon Spec or something else would have provided a bigger boost.
Now if you used a weapon like a dagger or a whip... ohhh boy awesome feat at higher levels.
But Odric... thanks for making me look it up. And where it came from, I will have to peruse that book some.

Dungeon Master S |

Ferox's warpriest with picks is going to be scary I think at high levels...

Sandor Stouthammer |

It really does help those low damage high crit weapons out.
So my request for the headband of inspired wisdom is for one reason only, and that is to increase my will save. If any of the others need/ want it I won't fight to hard.

Sandor Stouthammer |

Gaius I thought you already had a Wis boost item. If you need it, then it makes the most sense on you or Ferox.
On another note..... You have a lantern of revealing, and we havn't been using it... Could have saved at least one of Mork's deaths. Lol

If the weapon does 1d4, it steps up to 1d6 or something. It's not like a dagger would jump to 1d10
Yes it would the damage is based on level.
Here is a link, look at the Sacred weapon damage.
So a dagger or kukri wielder would end up amazing. Hmm has me thinking, a multiple armed creature with flurry, and darts with this feat... do darts get extra attacks still?

holy sh1t that is OLD OLD OLD SCHOOL. YOu da man. Darts used to get 6/round if you were a fighter, back in Advanced D&D, isn't that right??

We got it from one of those death combats, didn't we?

TOURNAMENT WEEKEND!
I'll be AFK from Friday afternoon until Monday morning.

Sandor Stouthammer |

Alas, Evil Gaius was your own doing, and you do not earn XP from him.
I approve of the ruling, but I say this with mirth (ya know a wink and a smile) As much as I would like to debate this with you, at this point in the campaign it isn't really worth it. Plus you took it very very easy on us with him, before Morkelb took control of his mind.

Dungeon Master S |

By rule, if a summoner casts summon monster IX and brings forth a platoon of fiendish T-Rex dinosaurs, you do not receive XP for them either.
:-)

Sandor Stouthammer |

I completely understand and approve of that rule.
The arguable difference here, is that it was a random action of an artifact that is no longer available, nor (assuming that the rule was at least partially thought up/ inspired by someone who pulled a red mage to increase xp gain for friendlies), did we have control over the summons (with a caveat to Morkelb).

Morkeleb the Mighty |

I would counter that argument thusly:
the deck offered straight-up rule-breaking benefits, such as XP rewards without having to do anything for them (aside from the risk of a bad draw). Even putting aside the nature of a summond/called creature not granting XP, it's not a stretch to think the deck would also offer rule-breaking banes, such as creating creatures not granting XP. :-)

Artifacts and relics transcend mortal rules!

Gaius Lirsiiv |

We do still have a scroll of Mage's Magnificent Mansion. BUT... The blood is flowing up to the top of the pyramid. The Ritual is connected by Blood. It might be happening NOW. We may not have the time to rest. I think... There's real potential that this is IT. The structure gets smaller as we ascend, and there's not a lot of real estate left.
And the royal chambers are right here.

Dungeon Master S |

The blood isn't flowing UP... it's flowing to the last room on this floor....

Dungeon Master S |

I'm not stopping you guys from resting :-)

Dungeon Master S |

Heads up, I'll be AFK tomorrow through Sunday night. I'm chaperoning a field trip, and then I've got a lot of house work that HAS to get done before the granite comes in Monday.

Dungeon Master S |

Hey guys, since it's not my first rodeo:
This current situation can cause an extreme amount of analysis paralysis. It's Tuesday morning now. I'm going to say that if you're still figuring out the plan by Thursday morning, I'll decide for you guys via random chance ;-)

Sandor Stouthammer |

Thanks for the warning.
OOC check list or Pro Con:
I know Gaius likes to play things close to the vest, but by my calculation I think he still has plenty of spell power left. Not sure what Morkelb and Ferox have avail.
How are the casters? Plenty of umph left?
How about lasting buff spells? Prot from Evil? Align weapon?
How much longer will Grym's Greater Heroism last?
Lets also remember that Serinthal will be the one to really hurt Illeosa, so lets make sure Grym makes it to her.
Pushing Fwd Pro:
Don't allow her to complete the ritual.
Possibly interrupt the Ritual so she has to start over even if we fail and have to regroup.
Have an even more epic story to tell about hurt and harried low resource heros defeating her.
Not having to fight "regenerated" defenders, or allow what ever else to finish a more elaborate defense.
Pushing Fwd Cons:
Can't level up to a fully operational Death Star.
Lower chance of survival.
I'm for moving forward, but can be swayed when I learn our caster's status.

Ferox Kerr |

Ferox has most of his spells left. Even using a bunch to heal and restore everyone, it won't affect his combat prowess. Ferox doesn't cast much in combat. He's happy to buff some before we head up. Plus, Cricktik can cast Greater Heroism on the whole party to start us off.

Thorgrym the Tracker |

I may be metagaming a bit. But since we were given the sweet mansion scroll we can probably have the time to use it. I say we use it.
Grym wont volunteer any opinion unless asked. He firmly believes that Morkeleb is the smartest man alive and will follow suit.
