I might buy it if we're truly done with it at that point. There's a lot I like--I'll mine it for useful stuff.

It's getting a bunch of new stuff. Obviously the translation to the PFRPG is the biggest one. Having read both versions of Rise of the Runelords, they know what they're doing (adventure design is one of their best skills.)

This will be one of those books you keep on the shelf next to Dragonlance Chronicles, Ravenloft, and Castle Greyhawk.

Hey guys, I'm back and ready to go. That being said, This week is going to be insanely busy for me a few days.

Wednesday: Driving down to NYC to see Iron Maiden. I won't be checking the boards at ALL Wednesday until Thursday afternoon. (I'm assuming this applies to Grym and Bucho as noted.)

Weekend: Normally I'm pretty good about posting on the weekends, but I'm the chief referee for a tournament this weekend, and my tournament weekend begins right after school Friday, so I'll be off the boards Friday afternoon until Monday morning. I'm assuming this applies to Morkeleb for Sunday as well.

On the trip to Vigil...lets work the details

Whose coming with? At least 1 other who needs a Resto would be good, in case we find enough on the spot spellcasting to cover us. I need at least 1, 2 if they can be had easily. S can we find spellcasting services to that effect?

Also, we need, in order of preference:
-wand of Resto, partial (we can only afford a few charges)
    -several scrolls
-diamond dust for our own casting

Are we willing to essentially break the bank on this? I don't know how many we need (I can get by with 1 barring further badness) and I'm not sure how much treasure we have...must refresh memory on that...

Anything else to try to get while we're here?

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

Normal shopping rules apply. 75% for anything within the purchase limit for Vigil (not sure if I posted it or not I haven't searched the thread yet.)

So I've sent out invitations to my Slack team. So far about half have joined. Slack is a free group chat app/page that makes collaboration easier. I have to say, it does it's job nicely. I've got a channel for this campaign, PFS, and gaming in general, but the team has added a few others. you can get involved as little or as much as you'd like.

I PROMISE you won't miss out on anything if you don't use it. For this game it's mostly a useful way to ask a quick questions or tell someone it's their turn to post. The other channels are fun musing on things.

I say break the bank if needed. It seems like we really NEED this stuff. An extra wand of CLWs would be sweet too.

Ferox can cast two Restorations per day. He definitely needs one.

Gaius can cast it a few times.

Mork needs at least one, too. Sandor could use one.

If we can buy the diamond dust for four, is that enough? Snag enough for three or four more castings while we continue through the castle?

If we're going to pop for an expensive scroll, we may consider a Hallow. I can use the scroll, though I would need to make a spell caster check.

    Gaius,

Not sure if you're aware of it or not, but in the spoiler above under the effects of scarwall. It says that we are under the effects of unhallow. Now it looks like some of the effects will be removed when we clear more anchors. Not sure if you would be able to Hallow the area after that one clears, but I'm sure that if you use the scroll before the effect clears it will not have the desired effect.

On a side note, the cast time for the spell is 24 hours. Does that change with the use of a scroll?

Just thinking. My concern is that, like that Dancing Ghost Thing, we may find an anchor we can't remove without Hallowing the area. I'll check the spoiler--I haven't in a bit.

It's still probably not a great investment. The Cost coupled with the caster check. Add in the casting time.

I'll be available only sporadically. Hitting GameOnicon in Plymouth, NH--and introducing my 2 kids to PFS. I'm hoping against hope they like it so we can go to GenCon 50th next year!!

Please bot me if necessary--but I will be checking periodically, back to "normal" Sunday PM

In this current fight...Morkeleb thinks we should flee. If the rest of you jamokes decide to stay, he won't abandon you. Next action will be Haste. after that...we'll see.

    oh em effing gee.

I had the best weekend at GameOnicon. BOTH repeat BOTH of my children (son of 14 and daughter of 12) have been bitten by The Pathfinder Society Bug. In fact, after one session, my daughter said "I think I'd like to try GMing..."

    *sniff*

and in our last session, we needed a pregen to make the table legal. I went to take it saying "I'll play it, but only if you two don't want the extra character..." and my son said "I'll do it dad. I need the practice."

    *extra sniff*

This absolutely cinches it...we're going to GenCon 2017. Now if I can only get my wife to play PFS!!

Well it seems that just straight damage was the best way to finish this encounter. Sorry if my gambit caused any issues. I figured that if you can't see the target of your curse you can't curse them.

Good job all and we have Dustin Diamond... I mean diamond dust for Odric!!

It was a good idea. I was going to Stone Shape the alter to accomplish the same thing, but I wasn't sure it would work.

Straight Damage is the great skeleton key of RAW PF/3.X.

The debuff was key. Play that scene without Silence and Haste.

Round 1. Everyone takes 200 damage, save for none.
