So can I keep calling if my character dies? :D
Yes.
The good news is, you did the Remove Fear, which should give you a +4 to BOTH saves vs. PK. (the spell description *is* Fear, after all) Also, I would (and will) argue that knowing ahead of time this is a PK should give the old fashioned +4 circumstance bonus to the save to recognize it as an illusion.

Wow, Mike. Glad you're on my side. You ever consider running a game?

I assume this dungeon is like zelda, and once these baddies chase us out the door into the next room, they're like, "we'll, good try everyone. Hopefully they come back a bit later so can properly kill them "
Yeah, that's the way I understand Dungeon Science & Engineering. :)

Dungeon Master S |

Well, you HAVE noticed that the chains keep him from leaving this room.

Hey guys, just giving you a heads up now, but I'm going to be completely MIA from Thursday night to Sunday morning. Normally I find time to squeeze in a post or two, but I'm spending the weekend as one member of a 12 person relay team running about 200 miles from Boston to Provincetown. We do it because we're crazy, but my fiancee's mother past away from cancer, so we run to support the ACA.
I wouldn't do this in any other group, but I will here. Neither Jill nor I are religious in the least. Gaming should stay away completely from real world issues, but I'll leave this; doctors and scientists will be the ones to find a cure. The link above is our personal page with the ACA. I don't want anyone to feel compelled, but every bit helps (I don't even get to see the person who donated, so seriously, don't feel compelled.)
I'll be back to posting ASAP, but I figured I'd give you the heads up now.

Good luck, have fun! Vanessa did the American Odyssey run here from Gettysburg to DC about a week ago... took her about 2 days do recover to 100%.
Re: Dr.s and Scientists, we went to one of those breast cancer walk-a-thons a couple years back and I recall being a bit peeved that they kept lionizing the cancer survivors without once mentioning the men & women who have dedicated their careers to finding a cure. That notion was supplanted with the idea that by walking 60 miles we were somehow on equal footing with scientists and doctors.
I get it, cancer survivors offer a glimmer of hope and are accessible both emotionally and from the perspective of scheduling. But how about a hat tip to nerds in lab coats?

Dungeon Master S |

Yeah, dead on man. We were very picky about where we went. We wanted an organization that focused its assets on the goal. Places like Wounded Warrior and Susan Komen range from poorly run to scam artists. It's hard.

Aye. Even better one, we ran in a USMC 10k once and one of the sponsors was demonstrating along the course with pro-Palestinian signs. Pretty embarrassing for the race organizers, and disheartening to us who indirectly helped fund what turned out to be a subsidiary of the Holy Land Foundation.

Dungeon Master S |

That does suck.
So in other race news. Brendan Cirillo injured himself so that he can't run. Jill, Josh Matthews and I are picking up his miles. So now I'm running an extra 6 miles. So 4 legs of 5-6 miles in 24 hours.
My body can handle the run no problem. I'm worried about my muscles cramping between legs.

Can we permanently bless the opening of a Decanter of Endless Water, then stride through the castle blasting high-pressure undead-smashing holy water? Call it the Holy Fire Hose of Antioch.
"First shalt thou open the Holy Drawstring, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then turn it up to eleven. Aimest the Holy Fire Hose of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it."
New meaning to "Spray & Pray" lol

Gaius would you like this?
Aura moderate enchantment; CL 11th Slot held; Price 22,301 gp
deSCription The sadist’s lash is a long whip of black leather, with sliver wires running the length of its lash. The lash acts as a +1 wounding whip, which aids enchantment spells in two simple ways. First, it can deliver enchantment spells with a range of touch (most notably irresistible dance and touch of idiocy) as if the wielder had touched the creature struck. Additionally, any creature that takes damage from the lash does not get the normal +5 bonus on its saving throw to resist charm person or similar enchantment spells cast by the wielder or his allies. This effect lasts 1 minute after a creature has been struck.
ConStruCtion Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, dominate person; Cost 11,301 gp, 880 XP

Dang it! I had made a post a while ago about Laori, and it's nowhere to be found. I'll have to recreate. I was wondering why no one responded...
Before heading to the Arkona's mansion Laori pulled everyone aside. Her path diverges from yours at this point. She was concerned that if you spent too much time with her that you'd soon find her life... incompatible to yours. Still, the pairing was powerful, and should your paths ever cross again let it be one of peaceful destruction (and it's also best if it's no questions asked.)
As a reminder. Also if you're interested (it's a good read too) the Pilts fight with the captains was around pg 105. In 2013!

Hey everyone. I just got word that our network at school is down tomorrow (my grades are due Friday, good thing I didn't procrastinate!) I'm also closing on a house and moving this weekend.
I'll try my best to post what I can, when I can. I'll be back to my normal speed Monday, even moreso since my students will be taking finals.

Let me get your thoughts on this choice. I was looking at upcoming feats for Sandor. I'm going to get Double Slice next, then Two Weapon Rend. But after that I was thinking of going for Disruptive, and Spell Breaker
I was thinking of Ironwill and improved iron will instead.
So throw out your suggestions. I welcome them all.

Thorgrym the Tracker |

in a PBP setting, I'd go for the easier options: Iron Will. It's a lot harder to pull of interrupting stuff in this format...
Also, Iron Will is very Sandor-y IMHO.
Thats a good point. Grym has two weapon rend and I keep forgetting to use it.
I kinda wished I would have picked something that just always works.

Dungeon Master S |

In your post set up I would include a line that says (if 1 & 2 hit, add xdy damage)

I have this character fantasy of a paladin or other similar with really good base saves just taking feats that improve saving throws. Simple to play and never failing a save.

Morkeleb the Mighty |

I was also thinking of a next character. Our current tabletop campaign is nearing its end, and I'll need a char for the next one. I really dig my PFS gunslinger and would like to try another one--but I'd been afraid to play the same guy, RP wise (my guy borrows heavily from Roland in The Dark Tower) S suggested basing him off Doc Holiday.
But...a light hit me today. How about Eddie Dean?? (or even Cuthbert Allgood?) I'm almost clever enough to pull that off...

Dungeon Master S |

He'd make a MUCH better fit in Skull & Shackles than Shattered Star

Cuthbert Allgood!
I would really like to play a monk or a druid. The druid would be more a melee/tank build but could still be somewhat of a utility caster.

We don't have much left. One anchor. Mithrodar. Then go down the well to grab the sword. Two days should be enough for that, right?

Do you jamokes realize...the first Scarwall post was August 9, 2015. We've been playing these three days for 11 MONTHS!!
go back to page 160-ish and reread the orc fight where Grym died. Also reread the fight with the Umbral Dragon.
You guys are all f#*%ing awesome.

Dungeon Master S |

Wow. I mean this book is entirely filled with the castle. This is pretty awesome.
We're so close to book 6!

Gents,
I'm going to Atropia tomorrow until the 24th. Atropia is a fictional version of Azerbaijan in the training areas of Ft. McCoy, WI. As the senior Ops Officer for the exercise I fully expect 18+ hour days straight through. I'll have my phone but crappy reception and little time.
I fully expect to have to fail at about 25% of the tasks ahead simply for lack of time. They design it that way to torture Field Grades.
Then again, being stuck in the field I might justify posting now and then as a way to relax for a few minutes if I can. I'll check as often as I can.
