Karran, I know it sucks to have your post overruled...but trust me when I say I was a generous GM on that last post...it could have gone a lot worse if I had wanted to be really punishing.

Could we get a compiled initiative order list so we can take actions in turn? Or do you want to just go party then zombies?


Party then zombies. Not to concerned about order so long as no one goes t ice before the zombies go. (Which is what I inaccurately thought Karran's had done).

This battle seems like it could take weeks at our present posting/redeading rate. Is there any good way we could speed it up? Part of it's just a consequence of the party size, but I think another part of it is that we're a party full of people who would rather be in melee with only a couple spots to actually be in melee. XD


You guys could always open the flood gates and make more spots of melee be available.

What risk do a few zombies pose to you anyways right? {evil gm grin}

I think we can all look at the CR rules and see just how many fast zombies would be a challenge for a ECL 5 party. So... no, I don't think that's wise.

It's always annoying in games when the smart way of fighting is also the slow way...

I will try to do a better job of updating mid team round of a zombie drops like I did with Luxxanna finishing the zombie that was in position A...this will allow you guys to decide if you press the advantage into the hall and try to drop another zombie that round.

That might help a little.

In seriousness, what we really need right now is a good lightning bolt or two. But of course, we couldn't have had that at this level. A Cleric channeling would have been good, too, but alas, the dice did not so favor us.

Oh, well. It's kind of the risk of this randomness. We'll just all have to do the best we can to keep things moving.

Hey, at least you're actually useful in this fight.

If anybody has suggestions for how the rest of us might be of use, I'm all ears.


You could deal some decent damage if you were in range to get your melee on.

Barring that the most productive thing you can probably do would be to explore the room more...several doors could be checked for traps, those results might give you something to do...or kill you. You could scout the next room, you might find something useful...or deadly...etc.

It runs the risk of splitting the party or bringing more aggro, which could be dangerous. But engaging in melee is dangerous too, so it is all about risk management and risk v reward analysis I guess.

That's my two coppers, for what it's worth, probably right around 2 cp.

Copper's valuable these days, or so I hear. I'll start checking the other doors, to make sure we're not going to get caught between multiple groups of foes. Oh no, am I giving him ideas?

Sorry I missed yesterday. Work got busy. Go ahead and bot me if you ever need to. Karran will melee attack for preference, or use his blessings/spells if things get rough. He is trying to conserve resources because he has no idea how big this place is.


I played around with the order of layers...All character icons should be infront of the torchlight aura now. The edge of the aura isn't as visible, but you can pretty much see where it is.
