Kal quickly yanks Veritas' wing up again, shielding himself from most of the blast, though the sheer force knocks him back against his eidolon's body. He coughs out a lungful of smoke, waving a hand in front of his eyes. "Bloody hell, that was not what I was epxecting," he wheezes, reaching for his harrow deck and flipping through the cards, looking for something. "Let's see here... ah, yes, that will work nicely!" He finds a card, touches it briefly to Veritas' chest, and points to Daellum. "After you, big girl!"
Casting greater heroism on Veritas.
Veritas, The Paladin |
Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 Improved evasion; no damage!
Fort: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17 ... s$!%.
Unfortunately, Veritas is too focused on trying to protect Kal from harm to do much more than stand defensively.

Fort: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
well, as cool as that sounded I missed the fort save line, derping around, so apparently all that didn't just happen. have to happen next round.
Kiorec |
The party has won initiative. Party up. Your traitorous target is a mere 10 feet from you, but has total concealment as if in an obscuring mist spell due to heavy smoke. The destruction of the room makes this whole area difficult terrain. Each of you take slashing/bludgeoning: 10d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 2, 2, 4, 2, 3, 5, 4) = 32 and fire: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 3, 2) = 19 damage, DC 20 reflex for half. Also a DC 20 fort or be dazed for a round as you try to protect yourself from the flying debris
Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Slash/bludgeoning 1/2 Damage=16
Fire 1/2= 10-10 fire resistance=0
Fort: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Grunting slightly at the damage Kiorec's eyes flash with red light as he enters his bloodrage growing in size until he stands as tall as an ogre.
Bloodrage, free, Casting Enlarge Person, free Greater BloodRage, Arcane Strike, blooded Arcane Strike, Power Attack and Raging Brutality...partridge in a pear tree with a cherry on top!

Sure Edge: 2d6 + 47 ⇒ (4, 4) + 47 = 55
Assuming a full round action, I didn't see it listed as a surprise round, if it was, then I only need the 1st attack.

The traitor merchant cries out in pain as Kiorec lays into him.

DAGNABBIT Dice! This was supposed to be epic!
He tries to cast, but the spell fizzles. He then tries to dive out the hole in the wall (provoking from Kiorec. He did have enough HP to take a hit), but utterly fails and ends up doing more of a stumbling limp. Silas shifts out after him and casts his spells.
Kal, Ver and Kiorec up
Kalderasha la Kore |
Since we don't have a map, has he or has he not moved? How far away is he?
Kalderasha la Kore |
Got it, Chief.
"Come on, V, snap out of it!" Kal exclaims in annoyance, rapping his knuckles against the side of the angel's golden breastplate. "Look, why don't you go smack him around a little?" As he speaks, he begins moving his hands as if sculpting a column, and a yawning pit opens behind Daeullum.
Casting acid pit behind him. 70 feet deep, with 5 feet of acid at the bottom.
Veritas, The Paladin |
Veritas shakes her head, finally seeing that the debris has stopped buffeting her. When she sees the pit open behind Daellum, it takes her but a second to figure out what to do. Wings beating into action, she soars at full speed over the rubble, slamming into the man with her shoulder and forcing him back.
Bull rush!: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (3) + 32 = 35
Hero Lab puts it at that total, with charging and greater heroism. It's also giving me a -3 untyped penalty, not sure what from but meh. I'm just quoting the numbers.
Flying creatures are unaffected by difficult terrain, and V has a fly speed of 30 feet.
And yeah, I'mma knock him into the pit :3
Kiorec |
Charge! Yeah, I'm bold like that. Swift for quickrunner's shirt and the normal luandery list of damage stuff.

Sure Edge: 3d6 + 45 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) + 45 = 52
Unwilling to let his foe escape, Kiorec charges down the pit after him, a primal roar escaping his lips!
Kiorec |
Seeing his foe flee, Kiorec snarls and roars words to a spell as he prepares to follow him.
Moments later, several more Kiorecs spring into life around him.
Casting Mirror Image Images: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

"Oh come on, play nice!" Kal laughs, moving forward over the rubble. "Hey, V! Get back here, and I'll help get you there!"
As Veritas soars back over the rumble to meet him, he begins chanting, his cards flying from his hands to surround him. An instant later, he, the eidolon, and the cards all vanish, reappearing next to Daellum.
Moving forward 15 feet through difficult terrain; V takes a move action to meet halfway. Then casting greater teleport, appearing near Daellum so that V can reach him with her 10-foot reach but Kal is not adjacent, and the angry angel can give him a single-attack smack down at 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28 for 3d6 + 27 ⇒ (5, 3, 3) + 27 = 38 damage, plus 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 holy.
Could be a waste of a 5th-level spell, but... Let's end this :P
Also, if anyone can get to within touching range of Kal, he can take them as well.
Silas Runesong |
Sorry guys, I didnt even see my turn up. >.< Give me to this afternoon when I get home, and I'll get my turn up.
Silas Runesong |
Fluffy, now much more scaly, spreads his newfound wings and flies towards the vanished foe, though it will take him some time to reach.
Silas, after letting himself be pulled through, gazes at the man, and decides that perhaps it is better to try and finish this quickly. He spins his staff in the air, the crystal at the end of it glowing a sickly green as he fires a beam of power at the strange man.
Staff of many rays, 3 charges for Disintegrate, 1 point spent to increase caster level by 2, adding 4 damage dice. Fort Save DC24.

Dagnabbit. I thought he made it until I saw that you raised the DC.
Daellum gasps as the Ray impacts his chest, then freezes. He stand there for a moment. Just frozen. Then a tiny breeze flits through the air and he collapses into a pile of dust.
Thus ends the module. Congratulations. :)
