Thanks! At the moment, I'm using Romanian for Varisian. Should we run into abominations I recommend Khmer for Aklo, and if we see ancient ruins, Tajik for Thassilonian...My friend and GM Dragoncat has done this in a lot of his games and I find it makes for an immersive game!

DavianGrallus |
Oh I absolutely agree! I like it a lot <3
So long as you are the only one with those languages, I'll do that. If not, we'll discuss it for oh let's say the next four days or so in here. Gauge interest. If no one objects, boom, onto the front page it goes!

Rokkad |

Sounds good! Romanian is a good match for Varisian and I am using Hawaiian for Shoanti.
I have used Gujarati for Celestial before, if no one else has any preferences: હવે આપણે શું કરવું

DavianGrallus |
Let's see here, last post was Monday, go ahead back into initiative order.
I'll bot good ol' Tree two turns if the situation gets dire.
In the meantime, languages will be updated in a day or so! Sorry, today has been crazy for me!

'Tree' |

For languages, that all sounds good to me. I'm actually a little bit of a language nerd and conlanger (one who constructs languages for fun), and meant to ask if anybody minded me constructing the language for Terran as we go? As for Elven, I had kind of planned on using Quenya when I did it, but that might be kind of hard for others to do since there're no online translators for it. Therefore, I'm open to other thoughts.

DavianGrallus |
@Syeira I enjoy it so far :P
@Tree hmmmm..... that sounds quite cool for Terran, especially given your chosen race.
If no one objects to that, I'm game. As far as Elven, I think quite a few peeps here speak it, so we'll need to see what they say.

DavianGrallus |
Ah, I see the confusion. In order to catch up, we would need Syeira's action, now that Ikoma has acted.
That will resolve the "second" round, and bring us finally back to the top.
Thanks for the assist, Mitsuko <3 Knew you were here for a reason.....

I am about to add a "AoE" marker that you all can snag and move onto the map for when you cast spells like fireball, entangle, etc.
Know that radius spells I use an *actual* circle, and anyone touched by the circle is "hit"
For cones of course I use the standard variations, but that's a bit easier to manage than some sort of strange oblong radius not radius :P
Shalewen, feel free to manipulate the marker as you see fit.
I only request we don't use super highlighter colors, like light pink or neon green :P As a self reflection, if the current colors I use violate your eyes, please let me know!
And finally, languages are going to be added. I'll be monitoring the thread closely tomorrow to post the goblins, hopefully I can take my laptop with me to lunch tomorrow.

Syeira Mavashti |

Could I make a weird request? I'd like to change Syeira's first name...I know the game's already started and I'd have to create a new alias profile, but...well, I just joined a Second Darkness game that has a cartomancer witch in it named Syeira, and I'd like to differentiate my character from them for the purposes of considering all the PbPs I'm in part of a shared Pathfinder universe...

DavianGrallus |
Oooh, reversed sounds just as good.
I am completely fine, this early, with some minor character changes.
I'm in this for the long haul, changes happen, people "retrain" or get bored.
I'd treat this like you telling a group of people to call you "???" as your nickname- I don't see any problem with it. <3

DavianGrallus |
Also, well played with the entangle / archery KO on Shalewen and Mitsuko.
Unfortunately I had more rolls, but paizo ate them, so I'm taking the easy way out and having the goblins prepare their short bows on hand instead of breaking free and trying to escape.
Stupid paizo, eating my rolls and stuff.

DavianGrallus |
Apologize everyone, one more day and I'll be back! Bachelor Party is today, prep was last night. Meant to tell you earlier, but ugh. Went right after work.

Yes! It's a very useful hex.
Witch, Evil Eye Hex: Can I use this hex more than once on a target?
Yes. As long as you apply a different penalty with each use of the hex (AC, ability checks, attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks), you can have multiple penalties on the same target. Applying the same hex penalty to a target just resets the duration to the most recent use of the hex.Example: On round 1, you hex the target's AC. On round 2, you hex the target's attack rolls, so the target now has two evil eye hexes on it. On round 3, you hex the target's saving throws, so it now has three evil eye hexes on it. On round 4, you hex its AC again, resetting the duration of the AC-hex (which does not add an additional –2 penalty to its AC). The same thing would happen if two witches were using evil eye on the same target--as long as each evil eye hex applied a penalty to a different thing, they'd all apply.
This doesn't violate the general rule for stacking penalties--each evil eye effect is basically a different source, even though they stem from the evil eye hex (the evil eye hex is much like 5 separate weak hexes under a common umbrella). In the same way that multiple castings of bestow curse on the same target should stack as long as they do different things (penalize Strength, penalize Dex, penalize attack rolls, take no action, and so on), multiple uses of the evil eye hex stack as long as they're targeting different game statistics.

DavianGrallus |
Just to be clear on the hex thing, I'm not sure how many times per day I can use it. Can I really just spam evil eye as often as I want to reduce various things (obviously it doesn't stack with itself)?
Ooooh boy. Was wondering when this was going to start <3
Yes, per the rules, Evil Eye is a oh, what's the word, supernatural ability. It's like having a bloodline.
A super, powerful, wonderful against all but a very few things, bloodline.

DavianGrallus |
Ooooh, I see the confusion now.
@Arieys - it wasn't that your spear attack didn't count, it just hadn't happened yet in the initiative order.
ALSO, now that you are learning about your class a bit more, feel free to keep the retcon of the evil eye instead of the spear attack.
I'll definitely be using mob initiative after this combat. I didn't realize how much it would slow us all in a Play by Post. Initiative will be rolled as Enemy's Highest vs. All PC's. Whoever gets the higher number is the "team" that will go first. Apologies as always for the learning curve.

DavianGrallus |
@Ikoma-
I need to know if you were on your horse / dismounted etc. etc.
I believe you charged in on Wind Spirit? Or was it along side?
Just realized I made your horse "large" but only 5x10.
If having it as 10 ft. x 10 ft. is easier to keep track of things, please let me know.

DavianGrallus |
Alright, I'm going to increase the flow of this battle a bit for time's sake :P
ONCE again, I apologize. My fault for not doing a little more research into PbP.
After we are caught up in this round, we are going to mob initiative immediately.
You all will go first, as you have 3 people faster than the mob, per me rules.

DavianGrallus |
@Ikoma-
The handle animal check will fail, however, you *are* missing a trick for the animal to know in addition to it's combat trained bonus from being a samurai steed.
Feel free to add that trick to the horse now, as well as it and you will both attack, since it will not flee.

DavianGrallus |
Davian Grallus prays to the Shundar-Quah's deities for more luck for Rokkad, wondering as he makes his sacrifice why RNJesus has screwed this player three rounds in a row so hard.

Rokkad |

Well, it's to be expected, as Rokkad isn't really a fighter. Kokip is the fighter, Rokkad is just his lifeline/healer...
And I have been rolling like this in all of my games recently. :(
