To say Mitsuko had a rough childhood would be a bit of an understatement.
Her mother died when she was 8 when her mother died. Her father followed 5 years later along with her older half brother. Ameiko, her older sister had been kidnapped during that time also.
Luckily a band of hero's had rescued her.
Her father had never been particularly loving but out of all his children she had yet to shame him. So his bouts of rage, while they touched her, were abated.
Her mother had been loving and taught her all she needed to know about being a "proper" Kaijitsu lady.
Her father drilled in the fact that she should honor her family and bring honor back to their name.
Ameiko taught her about independance and being yourself no matter what others thought.
Ever since her father passed on she had been the face behind the Kaijitsu's family wealth being maintained.
A friendly face who is often seen in town. Though many don't even remember her name, they just remember she is Ameiko's little sister. Even when she sings at the tavern they congradulate Ameiko on her younger sister's talents. Not her.
Mitsuko wanted to get out and make a name for herself but Ameiko forbid her from going out adventuring.
It is time that she break out and be her own person.
