The remaining, Gaav, seeing the fight turning south flees out the window, flying further into the town. The Orc, seeing he is all alone, does likewise.

The kitchen is still on fire, but you as a group help put the fires out and by the time you peek outside to see what's going on, you see that the townsfolk have actually managed to drive the orc forces that Jag saw besetting the town off.

The town elders though all seem to be gathered in front of the mausoleum/Temple to Pharasma, having an animated discussion.

As Tae, Hali and the others approach the elders look at you with relief " Oh thank goodness - the attacks are mostly over but the damnedest thing - some of the demons have gone into the crypt of the mausoleum."

The Red Archivist nods in agreement Indeed, it is common behavior for Devils like this to appear only on the orders of others. I at first feared it was the hellknights coming for me but that does not seem to be the case. They seem to be searching for...something. And I guess they think it's down in that mausoleum. If you could please go down there and take them out - without the scouting party we do not have the manpower or competent warriors to root them out. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers, but could you please?

For all intents and purposes, after another hour of rest you will be completing your "8 hours of rest" and regaining your resources.

- INACTIVE - (completed campaign)

"Aye, give me a bit longer to rest up and I'll be right at 'em again."

Female Elf Cleric 6 Portrait

Scarab Sages

The sweaty overweight mayor looks overjoyed to hear this and stations what few men he has to guard the front of the mausoleum until you are ready to go in.

If our casters want to re-prepare spells you can go ahead and do that now - I'll get the new map set up in the meantime.

After resting and eating a breakfast (or two) out of still mostly usable tavern kitchen the group is able to get back on their feet and make their way to the mausoleum.

Outside the mausoleum, the cleric Ovid hands the party 5 special looking arrows outfitted with holy water canisters. These are called raining arrows. They ought to be quite effective against the kind of devils hanging out down there, go get em.

The mausoleum itself is impressive with big 15 foot tall pillars holding it up and some impressive architecture for such a small town.

As you make your way into the hallway a pile of boulders, broken rock, and rubble blocks the main passageway through the catacombs where the ceiling collapsed. On either side of the hallway, five-foot-wide passages lead into other areas.
