Yeah Arc I think we were just waiting for occux to give us some character knowledge. I for one am still interested. JT was just waiting for the squad commander to give direction. So hopefully we are moving forward here. I also check on several times a day.

Then when we leveled I spent points on the Solid Projectile advancement for rifle, and the Solid Projectile Pistol advancement..

Weapon proficiencies don't advance beyond their base. You buy them once and that's it. So if you didn't have them before and you just bought them, then you are correct.
Not sure exactly what you are asking about. I didn't have a +5 in there anywhere.

half action aim=+10
called shot to head=-20
short range(if less than 17.5m)=+10
surprised(is it?)=+30
red dot sight=+10
(is it big enough to count as ‘hulking’ that would be another +10 not counted)
total => 84
If you mean how did my ballistic skill get to 44, I purchased the simple ballistic skill advancement for 100 skill points.
If you mean why was the weapon damage a +6, that was because I loaded it with dumdum rounds that give +2 damage.
Your math is fine Nebdel. JT you don't get any bonus for buying the weapon groups. It removed the unproficient penalties.
I am really sorry guys, I will fix it and replace the double purchased skills with:
A Thrown weapons skill that would help JT lob grenades..
sound constitution for the max number of times allowed at Conscript level.

I am finding this adventure isnt going entirely as id hope so i have a question for everyone. Do you want to continue or would you rather switch things up?
I think we may just be kind of confused as where to go. JT is a soldier ready to go where his sarge (judge) directs, but he is throwing out suggestions. I am fine with the adventure, but maybe you can give us a nudge.

This is set up as a major investigation but its proving very hard to do without easy to use maps. If people are happy to keep trying I will, otherwise ill offer to run rogue trader instead. Less gritty and more adventurous.

I'd like to continue with this, though if it can't be helped I'm aboard for rogue trader. If you have access to a scanner that'd make maps a sinch. A rough sketch of the layout would make things far easier.

I think maybe ARC if you can give a rough scetch and something like
level one, entrance
level two, security offices
level three, Hab deck
level four, vivisectionarium
or something to that effect we can work this out. Right now we are faced with a colosal foe and we came down here with very little info and OCCUX didnt gather a whole lot of intel. If this is a traditional explore the sandbox JT can start moving things along.

Sorry, I was out of town for a few days.
But yeah, I pretty much agree. I'm a pretty visual person and without any maps or pictures or anything to look at I'm having a harder time than I expected translating the description into a mental image of what is around.
I guess some of my other difficulty is not being familiar with the game itself. Some of it just seems to not make sense. But I'm still up for giving it a go if others are.
