Another hit from Decr' and the armor surrounding the crab fully begins to fall apart. Shield is able to slam against the chull but is not able to make any progress against the organic protection, instead just knocking off more of the outer layer, Eina and Ibrox do much of the same.

Tbbblbitz frees herself from the pincer slipping out of its strong grip.

The crab like chuul rotates quickly, its organic legs showing with the falling outer later. It goes after shield and slams both pincers down hard on the golem securing him in its grip. There are still many mechanical parts to the creature as if it is half golem and have aberration.

A sparkly stone of green make, much like that you have seen around the island, appears to be stuck to its hide but under the tentacles. The stone is perhaps a half foot long and a quarter foot wide.

Once free, Tbblbitz uses her Move action to Detect Evil to determine whether this monstrosity is in fact evil.

I will post Round 5 in the morning once I find out if it is evil as my actions depend on this determination.

Seeing Tbbl free herself and the shell of the creature crack, Decr moves closer to it to better surround it, making some guttural noises as he does so to signal to Oua to attack as well.

"Damage sustained! Still operating within acceptable parameters!" Shield said as the pincers crushed its wooden exterior.

The golem raises its fists and drops them heavily on the carapace over the chuul's face with little concern for the damage the beast was inflicting upon it.

Nora screams at the party from above.

"The stone. Go for the stone! it's under the tentacles! It's Green about oh half a foot long by quarter of a foot wide. The thing keeps repeating it keeps him alive."

Nora takes out her crossbow and tries to shoot near the stone to direct everyone's eyes to it.

Both Decr' and his ape friend rend into the creature.

Nora's bolt is intercepted by one of the many tentacles as if they knew where she was aiming. Shield even though being grappled by the pincers still slams its fists into the creature making the exoskeleton crumple, crack and break in. Wolf fires off a glob of acid to slowly aid the group on taking out the beast.

Seeing the creature getting pounded by her companions, the tiny fey dodges in once more with her rapier hoping to open a wound, or create an opening for her harder hitting companions.

Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21 <-- add+2 if flanking bonus (not sure how this works when sharing the enemies space), reduce crab's AC if Grappled condition applicable.
Damage: 1d2 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (1) = 3 <-- 1d6 sneak if flanking

Not sure if that hit, or if there are any other bonuses.

Round 5

The Chull takes Shield and moves him from pincer to tentacles, these produce a poison which would make most creatures paralyzed, Fort DC 19 or paralyzed for 6 rounds. Once there Shield finds out to his dismay that the mandibles of the creature begins to tear into his body, it seems to like the wood, 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8. It then swings one of its mighty pincers up to Eina. It hits hard and secures her as its next victim.

Pincer: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29 damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 2) + 7 = 13
Pincer grab: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (20) + 23 = 43

Now both Shield and Nora are grappled by the creature.

Tbblbitz gets into a position to strike it and gets into a weak point.

Even as the mandibles chew into his wooden torso, Shield manages to pull an arm free from the poisonous tentacles and slam a fist into the chitinous maw.

Knowing she'll be unlikely to get another shot at that stone, Nora takes a deep breath in and flies at the creature. Getting near it she pull on some of her demonic power to drain the life from the crab.

The monstrous crab like creature shudders from all the blows, chunks are missing from its body and only the metal parts of its body keep it together. Inchor and blood cover most of those in melee with the beast but they are victorious over the thing. Nora is able to convert some of its life force over to her before it is completely destroyed by the group. Its tentacles lay still and the mandible no longer chews on Shield.

Tbblbitz dodges in again attempting to free her companions, her tiny blade whipping in and out like a weed whacker.
Stupid bug, let go of my friends. If I have to, I will slice you into bite sized bits.

It takes the diminutive Monkaladin several seconds to realize that the creature has stopped moving. With a kick, she growls at it once more before stopping and flying up to check on Shield.

Wood man, you ok? That bug was nasty. You need some glue to get fixed?

No clue. This is the Construct rule for healing:

Cannot heal damage on its own, but often can be repaired via exposure to a certain kind of effect (see the creature's description for details) or through the use of the Craft Construct feat. Constructs can also be healed through spells such as make whole. A construct with the fast healing special quality still benefits from that quality.

Guess we will have to wait for Wolfie to give us a ruling on this one.

Tbblbitz tries to flex her leg as the feeling flows back into it. Although not fully healed, it definitely feels better and is most likely useable, should she need to walk for some reason.

Thanks Gorilla Man. Much better. I can also do some healing, although not that much at this point. Anyone need a little more boost?

Hmmm, looks like we need to either get a Make Whole wand, of have someone get it as a spell. I assume that Nora will eventually go Sorcerer or Oracle based upon her Charisma, but I am not sure if we have another full caster, divine or arcane.

I was planning on eventually investing heavily in UMD, maybe even taking Additional Traits in order to buff it some and have it work off my intelligence so I could handle my own healing.


Shield, you just a wood golem or are going for the warforge aspect? This needs to be answered before we talk about healing him with cure spells. Then again I know how to heal him other ways.

Nora you land near Shield as he picks himself free from the tentacles, touching them you find your hand going numb.

Ibrox and everyone can see that most of the sand is still around. Nothing moves really, no wind and no animals except those brought with you.

Ibrox & Perception DC 20:
There are some crab like creatures around but they hide in the foliage or are down at the edge of the sea.

Perception DC 25:
The crab like creatures are mini versions of what you just fought, mechanical movement can be heard and the chull uses its pincers to fight with others of its kind.

I had built him as a straight up golem. I would have dug up a warforged conversion otherwise

It is not trapped, it looks like it will require a bit of strength to pluck it from the hide of the creature and then there are all those tentacles that are in the way, not moving but still possibly dangerous.
