Map of Tarsis.Imagine the crater next to the city being filled with water. That entire stretch of land is all port. In addition, the wall running out into the water is also a man made port and the wall is a combination of wall and dock. The elven ship is at the very end.
Another Tarsis Map The Cathedral to Branchala is just to the northeast of the Central Plaza. It is not represented on the map but I wanted to give the group a sense for the city.
House Rules for Hero Points:
Hero Point Mechanics:
1) One permanent Hero Point may be used to avoid a final death scenario allowing a narrow cinematic escape,
2) One temporary Hero Point may be used if you are between -1 and -9 hit points to stabilize yourself to prevent further blood loss,
3) Temporary Hero Points may be expended to power Feats. These grant a lasting bonus for a one scene or one round duration depending on the feat description,
4) One temporary Hero Point grants a character a chance to supplement their d20 roll by 1d6 and add the result (whatever it was - no re-roll) to the d20 result,
5) No more than one Hero Point may be expended per round.
Optional rules mostly in the form of New Feats for Hero Points:
Arcane Surge (Prerequisites - Arcane Class) (Allows wielder to increase a spell DC by 3 for 1 round by expending a Hero Point),
Attune Item (Prerequisites - A Weapon of Legacy) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to add +3 to attack and damage for the scene with chosen item),
Defensive Ward (Prerequisites - Dodge) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to give yourself a +3 Luck bonus to AC for the scene),
Divine Surge (Prerequisites - Divine Class) (Allows wielder to increase a spell DC by 3 for 1 round by expending a Hero Point),
Heroic Feat (Prerequisites - None) (Any saving throw successfully made 10 points above an effects DC automatically allows the character to regain 1 used Hero Point),
Heroic Grace (Prerequisite - None) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to add +1 to all saving throws or +3 to one saving throw for one scene),
Heroic Quickness (Prerequisites - Improved Initiative) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to add +3 to Initiative checks),
Manifesting Surge (Prerequisites - Psionic Class) (Allows wielder to increase a powers save DC by 3 for 1 round by expending a Hero Point).
Minotaur Brawler 2 / AC 16, Touch 11, Flat 15 / (HP 22/22) / Init +1 / Fort +5, Ref +4, Will +1 / Perception +8, Martial Flexibility 4/day
Will Red get a chance to use an action to get Throw Anything with his Martial Flexibility and throw the tree trunk before getting pulled away into a run by Zsar?

Don't feel bad, it has been a bad week for us teachers. With our economy being so bad 750 teachers might loose jobs and/or 4 furlough days, not to say what else might happen next year.
Sadly, all my games seem to be going slowly....hope she is alright.
Sometimes that is the nature of PbP. I'll push us forward Saturday as I have Table Top tomorrow and I am hoping for an update from Remy before then. If I don't get one I will DMPC the character and probably re-recruit as that will be nearly 3 weeks since he has posted.
It seems that sometimes I am a bit TOO lenient on posting rates which can have the ripple effect of slowing down everyone. Sorry 'bout that. Between that and being sick we have no progressed very far so far. Still we are out of prequels and almost all in the same place albeit not as smoothly as I had hoped we would be!
I am in a few games; and I check them daily.
All of them seem to suffer from the same thing.
Life happens. I just look forward to when I see the numbers next to Game Threads...lol.
None taken! :-)
I understand. This game has been somewhat in neutral partially because I try to make sure each player has a piece that moves plot forward in my homebrew campaigns. When one piece moves slow or does not move at all it tends to make things drag a bit. Now that the group is together, challenges will arise that will motivate everyone collectively as opposed to individually.
There are a few people who have posted interest but I am giving a week to create a character. In fact as I may need to replace Remy (unless I hear from him soon) I'll bring in two of the howevermany submissions I get.
Some good players with frequent post rates are applying.
OK, I am going to replace Remy. I think two weeks is enough time to post. I generally give a month but I am learning that it's just too much time in between posts and hurts the flow of a PbP which is already slow.
Brogg, let's tweak the submission slightly as Gateway was not founded until the Age of Despair and we are about a thousand years before that time. It’s a minor switch to place you in Xak Tsaroth just east of the Eastwall Mountains. In that Merchant City you would have easily had the opportunity to be a blacksmith.
Garum, the same minor tweak to your background, let’s place you in Xak Khalan again near Eastwall that way all else can remain consistent. Enough Solamnians journey throughnthere that you certainly could have met a priest of Kiri Jolith there though the main God of the City is Mishakal. Likely Maroc would have been slain on the road to Xak Tsaroth, again a minor tweak.
Brogg, as you were ready to cast off from your hometown Garum wandered in. The two of you were kindred spirits both being half-ogres and agreed to journey together. Having come from the north Garum suggested south and so you went.
A few weeks ago in Pax Tharkas you met a merchant named Fibrial Felseed. He was on his way to Tarsis but his guards had been slain in the crossing through the Plains of Dergoth. It was naturally a match for the three of you to journey together, he had coin and needed muscle, you had muscle and needed coin. Currently, you are all en-route to Tarsis.
FYI the map Pre-Cataclysm Map – Detail should be checked for the locations on the map of your origin cities and Tarsis.

Sorry I wasn't on today, I had to take my cat to the vet yesterday after school and then taught this morning/afternoon for the diocese. Catching up on games now.

No worries, I have had a disastrous few days including a vet visit that did not go as expected. Twice daily washings of an open dog gash = no fun.
