I can imagine, I can also imagine what family dinners for the next three years would be like if the same thing happened to me. I mean my mom and sister were joking that the ER had the wrong MRI when it showed that I had a brain after all when I totaled my car. :P
And I totally sympathize with you about forgetting your head. I can be impulsive sometimes and well...

Paulus Westland |

Well, if Paulus realized he was flirting, he might be better at it. As it is, I'm gonna have fun with him being super wise in everything but this, and make him super awkward at it. Maybe he'll ask Zev for help. Try to get Cal to show him how to play. Lift weights. Go ahead and help. It will likely make things worse (better). :)

Sounds like Paulus needs a training montage XD

Nicoletta Scarletti |

You've just reminded me that in Salsa's RotRL game, my bard owes the party wizard a violin lesson... my buddy Matt had a field day coming up with dirty puns when I told him.
Muahahahaha. Now I need to figure out whether Nic's devious enough to sabotage Paulus' attempts. (Nah, I don't think she is.)

Paulus Westland |

Two things I take away from that. One, is that Rocky needs to invest in some mountaineering safety equipment. A harness. A hammer and some pitons. Plenty of rope. Two, I love how they equate the tree Rocky chops down to some shlub Dolph Lundgren KTFO.

Dr. Feelgood, at your service.

Nicoletta Scarletti |

This line pretty much sums up Nic right now. That's why she's so mad at Paulus - he saw it coming.
Also, I lol'd at Dr. Feelgood.

Paulus Westland |

I didn't catch the link the first time. Excellent comparison!
On a side note, doesn't half-Orc courting involve clubbing the female over the head and dragging her back to your den?

Actually it's the half orc females that do the courtship clubbing ;)
Less "playing hard to get" and more "playing hard to get... up, with all your teeth intact..." lol

I have a game in need of some new players. It's meant to be silly and I understand not everyone's like that style game. If you're interested, post your concept in this thread. The current party has:
A Faen Sorceress
A Half-orc Barbarian
A Kitsune Skald
and
A Drow Oracle (GMPC, I can easily replace her. ;D)
Before you read any further, please note that this is going to be silly. This isn't a self-deprecation, but the point of the entire adventure. If you are looking for a place to play that dark brooding assassin your GM forbade, seriously, then I'm afraid that this isn't for you. If you're looking to play him up to comedic levels of GrimDark, Blood-bathed, over-the-top shenanigans, however, this still might not be your campaign, but apply anyway, I'll be the judge. :D
Now, this is supposed to be a dungeon crawly type game with lots of Role-playing and other shenanigans. That means classes that do well in confined spaces are your best bet, although it could be fun to try and be the knight on a white horse, just don't expect to be able to ride much.
Character creation:
Level 1
Roll 4d6 drop lowest six times for stats.
-Reroll if you have less than a 20 point buy
-Reroll if more than one stat is below 8.
Don't worry about starting equipment.
Three traits and one drawback.
No Evil, period.
Any class is allowed (save no Anti-Paladin)
Any race that uses class levels for hit-dice is allowed.
Submission:
Full stats, save equipment
Your character's background
Your character's personality
Your character's appearance
A few things that sets them on edge.
A few things that makes them go all gooey.
A quirk or two that they have.
Addendum:
I am allowing races from Heroes of the Jade Oath.
I'll be trawling my other games for players as well, so please, only post in one thread if you are in more than one of my games.

Paulus Westland |

My kids insist that I don't dress up with them. ;p However, I took a zombie doctor, Ever After High character, Vampire Bride, and another terrible zombie thing with a bleeding chestplate out for trick or treating.

Mercy Quaalearn |

Alas I live in the boonies o' Bonnie Scotland so rarely get visitors any day of the year...
Did however have an old offshore boiler suit and my Wyatt Family sheep mask primed and handy should anyone have come a knockin'...
They didn't lol.

My preference would be to hear what Croft has to say, then check in with Brask and see if our windfall (and gear) is there yet. I won't argue with anyone wanting to shop beforehand, though.
Edit: Also, I removed the gold bars from the loot sheet. Please add 3 bars to your profile worth a total of 300 gp.

Mercy Quaalearn |

Will be very interesting to see where the conversation with Croft takes us. Fingers crossed some of the items on the Chopping List have been got for us, but might be a wee while longer sourcing what we need?
On a separate note gang I've been running on/off a vanity campaign of mine - a Pathfinder re-imagination of Ye Olde TSR Modules UK2 & 3 (The Sentinel & The Gauntlet). This Saga is set in Iobaria and I've currently two of my original group still with me. Three more have had to step away from the Saga due to RL and couple more didn't come back after my own (hard) decision to put the game on ice.
However I've decided to thaw it out once more (its something I keep coming back to!) - anyway you lot have been a blast to game alongside, and whilst I realise that dance cards may be full, I'm putting out an open call to everyone here who might be interested in making up the numbers...
Here's the link to the campaign page: Black Dow's Iobarian Saga
We currently have an Ulfen Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) & a Iobarian Ranger (Warden); so we're lacking divine and arcane characters of all shapes and flavours.
If any of you are interested (DM-S included :) please have a read of what's went before and drop into the OOC thread to bandy about your concepts or ideas.
Cheers (and apologies to DM-S for the thread-jack)

I love paladins! They're so straight forward. :)
Sometimes it's fun to play a character that potentially sees the world as so black and white... makes decision making really easy lol
Sorry if I jumped the gun by the way, I just figured negotiating with devils wouldn't sit well with Elise.

I need to put this game on hold for a couple of weeks while I get things sorted out in my life. I know this is somewhat sudden but I have to get over some problems that I have been having that are affecting my work and personal life. I love GMing this game, and I promise to come back to it once I've worked through this.
For now, though I need time to think.

Nicoletta Scarletti |

Thanks for letting us know, Adam. It's understandable that every now and then, personal issues interfere with gaming (I know all too well). If you ever need to talk, I'm sure any of us would be willing to listen, and when you're ready for us, we'll be waiting. For now, take a step back, take care of yourself, and come back when you're good and ready.
To everyone else - I'll always be hanging around if anyone wants to just shoot the shit. You all seem like pretty nifty people.

Elise Warden |

It happens, no worries; rest assured, Elise will be waiting to stomp out some Imps upon your return. Take care!
I'm actually really starting to dig this character; she started out almost kinda bland from an RP point of view, but has been steadily morphing into a more brazen in your face down with evil kinda character, which is more a lot more fun to play... and it all really stemmed from the sword prophecy of Zellara's.

Nicoletta Scarletti |

I know what you mean, Elise. Nic began as an excuse to try a class that excited me, but she's become really fun for me. She has the swagger and confidence of my bard (who a few of the people here know well), mixed with the brazen, impulsive nature of my gunslinger (who Rhas is slowly becoming acquainted with), so it's a horrible, beautiful combination. Plus, and I didn't intend for this, but the character seems to want to be a flirt, which can be fun. I don't play many 'sexy' characters.
It's funny how characters can grow. When you throw them in a good, RP-heavy party, it's good times all around :D

*Thunderclap*
I LIIIIIIIVE!
Okay, melodramatics aside, I have some good news. I'll be trying to get this rolling again over the weekend.
Posting is going to be slow since a major (as in over 5000 individual items that I have to make sure get ported correctly) project is coming up.
However, I think I have things straightened up enough for me to pick this, and two of my other games back up.
My goal is to have all three up by Monday and get at least a post in one of them a night. This is going to be slow, but it should allow me to keep all of the games moving at something approaching reasonable.
Again, I apologize for the interruption. It is entirely my fault, and I am working on never having something like that happen again.

Zeverin Arkomin |

DM Salsa,
Glad to see things are clearing up for you.
Posting this, as a heads up.
I have a business trip coming up next week and have been trying to prepare. I may have time for posting next week depending on how good the wifi is at the hotel (since I will have nothing but time at the hotel).
(This goes for the Jade Regent game too, since you are also the GM there, I don't feel I need to post it twice.)

DM-Salsa |

I hope that was more fun than annoying. I didn't feel like running a combat with me controlling 20 individual combatants and I don't think things would have gone as smoothly.
Still, I think I could have handled that better.
