Munkustrap |

”With an attitude like that, Gelick, that is closest you would get to a lady.” Munkustrap scolds the man.
Peering over Rii-chi’s shoulder Munkustrap reads a few lines and feins interest to the others. But come early morning light he delves back into the delicate prose.
”This iambic pentameter is a bit much for me but I am glad you are feeling better, Ayers. Over time and a proper healing it is good to see that one day you will be as pretty on the inside as your are on the outside. My lady. “ Munkustrap offers a galant bow before returning to camp duties.

Thorion Trepador |

Thorion sat back after reading the poem and watched the primate in his unconventional state and pondered the effect of reading upside down. (One of theses days, I will have to give that a try. I wonder if blood rushing to the brain affects your ability to comprehend the text.)

DM RichD |

@Thorion:No actual poem. In the AP it says it takes 8 hours to read, which seems too long for a poem. The poem is described as 'the Abendego Cantos are very well written and contain compelling themes of the strength of personality against incalculable odds.'
@Caine: Are you reading the poem?

Caine Battaglia |

That's not a poem, that's an epic.
Caine makes a suggestion, "Maybe we should consider reading it aloud over evening meals until we have finished it. We could probably all use the diversion to keep our spirits up."
If that's not a suitable option, then, yes, Caine will read it over.

Neltji |

That sounds like a wonderful idea Caine. That way each of you can add your own little touches to it. I am sure that it would sound marvelous that way. Neltji hangs her head down a bit embarrassed, Just don't laugh when I try to read it. I never grew up reading poetry or anything like that. I mean I know how to read well enough but flowery script like that is something I have never tried.

Thorion Trepador |

Thorion seems less than overjoyed with the thought of reading aloud, or any other recreational group participation for that matter. No sooner did the words leave Caine's mouth before Thorion got up and walk away mumbling something under his breath. "That's a horrible idea."

Mischa Catanarri |

"Wow. That was beautiful, Aerys."
That night Mischa stays up a little later than usual, watching the crackling of the fire, and the glittering stars in the sky. She hums a little song to herself, a traditional Varisian folk song about family ties staying strong even through long journeys... Finally, a little melancholy, she lays down to sleep.
Resting up and then getting ready to head out the next day?

Munkustrap |

The days in camp do little to ease Munkustrap’s ever present anxiety over his abandonment on this foul isle. He busies himself in camp trying to keep his mind occupied. He chats with his those he sees little: Ishirou, Jask, and Ayers. After time in camp Munkustrap suggests they head out once again.
”My friends, let us depart camp once again to try and find a way out of this mess. South and west perhaps?.“ Munkustrap gathers his meager possession in anticipation of exploring once again.

Thorion Trepador |

(Does it state what kind of bonus the +1 is?)
The following morning Thorion prepares for the day by performing his morning rituals and then sets out to acquire something to eat. After consuming a morning meal, he makes himself available in case anyone is interested in investigating the rest of the island.

DM RichD |

(Does it state what kind of bonus the +1 is?)
Nope. So I am allowing it to stack with anything.
I have also updated the quests on the Campaign tab.

Thorion Trepador |

After observing the large crustaceans move in, Thorion stepped up and prepared for what he thought would be a difficult fight. Without hesitation, he brought his scythe into a low hooked swing, which caused the tip of the weapon to dive deep beneath the crab and then retract in a hook like motion.
(Move action) Move one square down and then one square diagonally down to the right (This should place Thorion on the back side of the crab). (Standard action) Attack the crab.

Misfortune hex meant that he needed to reroll attack’s and take worse. Therefore you only got hit once. Otherwise you would have taken a critical hit and a normal hit for a total of 3d4+12. Yeah misfortune hex!

Rii-Chi circles around the combat and fires again! This arrow actually flies straight - which is better than his previous effort!

Thorion Trepador |

With the fall of the last crab, Thorion took a moment to visually inspect the group from a modest distance. During the process, he listened as Mischa proclaimed to have adequate healing of her own. While Neltji, on the other hand, offered her ability to conjure dark magic as an alternative. After the latter was sugested, Thorion spoke up and made an offer of his own. “I also have a few healing spells available, if needed.” After making the offer, he moved over and began inspecting one of the crabs. “I wonder if these are edible.” He stated as he lifted one of many legs on the beast.

Neltji |

Neltji waits patiently if anyone wants the hrealing. She knows that it is not the most pleasant of experiences but it is the best she can do. Although she ponders wether she would be better off with a normal healing spell as to not cause irritation among some of the others. Either that or she might be better off preparing some defensive spells to protect the less armored in the group. Only time will tell.

Munkustrap |

Munkustrap makes the daggers disappear in a instant. He smiles as the others begin to harvest the crab, his stomach rumbling with the thought to a new cooked food. "Well done everyone, shall we push on?" he looks to Caine and Mischa.
I know Caine said he is alright, but is it just bravado or is the man in fighting form? he muses to himself.

Rii-Chi |

"Why does everything on this island want to kill us?" Rii-Chi asks, retrieving his arrows and then sending some more practise shots into the crab which is not being harvested. "Did we do something to annoy them?"

Munkustrap |

"Rii-Chi, everyone tries to kill me. Pretty much all the time. This island is nothing new in that regard." Munkustrap chuckles as he gives his friend a playful push.

Rii-Chi |

"Must be your winning personality!" The monkey snarks as he uses the shove to turn a cartwheel in the sand. "Now everyone loves Rii-Chi! I'm lovable and fun while you... are a cat. It's not your fault I suppose - just unfortunate! Perhaps if you were a dog people would like you more!"
Rii-Chi waggles his huge eyebrows and drops onto all fours in the sand, pantomiming running around after his own tail.
"See, much more fun!"
