Munkustrap |

The wood chips fly fast and furiously as Munkustrap whittles the wood in the semblance of a fighting tool. He often pauses and holds the make-shift weapon up to eye level checking the straightness of the weapon before rolling it over in his hands.
'I am not a creator, but this feels damn good.'
As he listens to the others discussing watch shifts, he suggests "How about our friends that need the most sleep, take third shift. That way if there is a problem during their watch, the will have already gained their spells back. Mischa and Caine, first watch, Rii-Chi and I second watch, and Neltji and Thorion third watch." and keeps Rii-Chi and I away from Thorion. Time may heal, but his initial distrust lingers at least in my mind. he thinks.
Best to keep watches as Standard Operating Procedures or SOP and Party Order once we decide upon them to streamline this PbP process if GM and everyone else approves.

DM RichD |

The skeletons were wearing tattered rags that could be fashioned into bandages.
[ooc[If you are all good with the watch order, i will add it to the campaign tab.[/ooc]
when morning comes, you all find that your wounds are little less painful especially Caine. It seems Thorion fastened his bandage really well and his wounds look better.

Caine 15 (5/12)WOUNDED
Rii-Chi 14 (9/11)WOUNDED
Thorion 12 (5/13)WOUNDED
You all sleep restlessly as you all swear you heard a mournful moan coming from the sea.
The morning looks beautiful though...

Neltji |

Good with the watch order. Thorion and Neltji get along great so no problems there!
As the group got settled for the night Neltji found herself exhausted and fell asleep almost instantly. When Munk woke her up she startled awake fearing another nightmare. When she saw the friendly face though she relaxed. Gathering a blanket around her she saw Thorion being roused as well. She was glad for his presence. He was a staunch warrior as well as a healer. She felt safe with him on watch with her. Moving to him she whispered, Do you mind if I commune with Anthony for a bit while you take watch? Then I can watch while you do your morning ablutions?
Assuming that Thorion says yes Neltji spends a long time with Anthony and prepares a few well chosen spells. When she was done she moved over to Mischa and withdrew a vial from her spell component pouch. Placing a drop of the substance on her forehead she says some words as the drop soaks into her skin. Neltji just hoped that Mischa would not have troubled dreams because of what Neltji just did but she was worried for the years until woman and wanted her healed up.
Cast infernal healing on Mischa restoring 10hp over 1 minute.
She turned to Thorion afterwards, I can heal you as well if you like but it takes some time and the sensation isn’t most pleasant.

Thorion Trepador |

(I am also good with the watch rotation.)
The island’s soft sand cradled Thorions bed roll, which provided the priest with a very comfortable night’s rest. After rising for his turn on watch, he quickly considered Neltji’s request and then nodded in agreement. Just before morning, Thorion headed out to collect a number of small bones from the beach. After collecting the bones he placed them on the ground in the shape of a spiral. The daunting process took him almost an hour to complete. While standing before the pattern of bones, he began whispering a prayer to the Lady of Graves.
It wasn’t long after Thorion’s prayer that the sun christened the new day with its worming rays. Having spent a good portion of the night tending the group’s wounds, he knew the damage from the night before was still a challenge that needed to be dealt with. Once the last of the first watched awoke and started to prepare for the day ahead, he decided to address the situation.
“I have done what I could throughout the night to tend everyone wounds. Even with my best efforts and a full night of rest, there are those that still host grievous injuries. With the new day, Pharasma has gifted me with two more spells of healing. I am willing to apply them to whom the group feels it would be best served.”
After his statement, Thorion leaned on his scythe and considered Neltji's offer.
"I have observed your magic Neltji and I am afraid that the nature of your spell may cause more harm than good. Because of that, I will pass on your offer. That being said, my wounds have not fully healed. I will likely end up applying pharasma's magic to help them heal, unless the group feels the healing would be better spent elsewhere."

Mischa Catanarri |

Is that 1/8 wounded thing showing our wounds taken? Or current hp? Cause I was at 3/8 hp, and now we're rested (healing 2 instead of one thanks to Thorion), so I should be at 5/8 hp. She'll be back up to full after Neltji's spell, of course, but I'm just clarifying and curious. Also, because I only have three wounds right now, Neltji's awesome and creepy spell might be better used on another.
Yup, I'm fine with the order.

Thorion Trepador |

Unfortunately, I think the only long-term care (DC 15) I was successful with, was cane. By the looks of it, Neltji's infernal nastiness will heal you to max. Of course, that will likely cost you your soul. (LoL).

Munkustrap |

As the distant and often troubling warpriest binds his wounds with the tatters of the skeletons' clothing, Munkustrap avoids eye contact by looking elsewhere whenever he can. Inexorably, he is drawn to watching the man wrap the bandages over his many wounds, taking care of him like a mother would a first-born babe.
"Thorion, I must thank you for the care you are showing me. I appreciate all that you are doing. Maybe there is room for you and me to be friendly if not more cordial than before. Deal?" Munkustrap extends a furred hand for the man to shake.
End of second watch
"... and then I said jewels? What jewels? That is part of my mum's pie! Ha! The fools. Rii-chi I cannot believe how the time has gone. It was wonderful to share some of my stories with a man with wits. I'll get Neltji. Awww, look how nicely she sleeps. Must be dreaming of her dear old parents that shipped her off to this gods-be-forsaken hellhole."
Morning
After the others are roused, Munkustrap looks imploring for one of the others to break their fast.
"Friends, I am still seriously wounded, close to death, but if I stay back in case of troubles I feel that others would benefit from Pharasma's cold embrace more than me.
"Shall we depart to that wreck or head back home empty-handed?"
Ready to move on

Mischa Catanarri |

I have some healing spells I can cast, Munkustrap, but was just waiting for feedback on the hp thing.
"Near death?" Mischa asks with a smirk. "Surely not, dear Munkustrap!"
Mischa approaches Munkustrap and places her hands on his wound. She begins to chant in a strange language, while under her hands, his wounds close.
Healing Munkustrap: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Who else is most wounded? Caine and Thorion?
You said you were also healing someone, right Thorion?

Caine Battaglia |

Caine gets up a bit stiffly after the previous day's beating. "We survived one night out here. I don't think it would be pressing our luck too badly to stay afield rather than heading back to the base camp. After all, we did come here to explore to the end of the promontory and I would see that through. Let's take a look in the wreck, but given the fact many of us are not at our best, let's be extra cautious."

Neltji |

Neltji s over to Caine as he rises and works free the pains from the day before. I can help heal those wounds and aches Caine if you would like. Just know though that the process is a bit painful and it may feel like your blood is no fire. The sensation is temporary and lasts only a minute but you will be fully healed at the end of it. Then after I think we should be better equipped to examine the wreck. Hopefully nothing too overwhelming is present that we can not overc9me quickly.

DM RichD |

Sorry about that. My post was ate and I was trying to type it fast while it was still in my head. I hit the 1 key instead of the 4 key.

Thorion Trepador |

"Thorion, I must thank you for the care you are showing me. I appreciate all that you are doing. Maybe there is room for you and me to be friendly if not more cordial than before. Deal?" Munkustrap extends a furred hand for the man to shake.
Thorion tended Munkustrap's wounds while the Catfolk spoke his mind. The priest showed no reaction or resignation to his sentiment. He simply continued with the treatment. Towards the end, Thorion looked up and made solid eye contact with Munkustrap. The priest’s face was paled by the moonlight and he appeared to be void of any expression. “You use the term “Friendly,” which implies that we would be friends. Friendship is something that do not desire, nor do I seek it out. That being said, I am no more your friend than I am your enemy. Simply put, we are two individuals that have a less than desirable common interest. To that end, I am willing to do what I can to further that interest, help with whatever I can, and provide what resources I have to the cause.” After making his statement, Thorion turned to walk away and then hesitated for a brief moment. “I have never been able to embrace such luxuries as friendship,” he stated before continuing to walking away.
___________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________Thorion carefully observes as Mischa openly displayed her healing ability in full force. Impressed with the woman’s skill, he nodded over to her as he approached Cain. “I will attempt to magically heal your wounds, assuming you are ok with the process.”
After waiting a brief moment for the hunter’s consent, Thorion placed a hand on Cain’s shoulder and then began whispering divine words. Soon Thorion’s hand took on a soft blue hue moments before he released a burst of positive energy into the Hunter.
Empowered CLW (Cain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 (+50% for empowered = 7)
After completing the healing process, Thorion glanced over in time to catch Neltji about to apply her dark magic to Munkustrap. (Now if that isn't fitting) he thought just before the young witch began her ritual. After considering the irony of the situation, he looked down at his own wound and finally resolved to healing himself. Once again Thorion began to whisper words of divinity, which brought about the soft hue of blue. He then placed a hand on his chest and then released the positive energy conjured by the spell. Soon, his wounds began to heal.
Empowered CLW (Thorion): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 (+50% for empowered = 9)

Munkustrap |

Munkustrap just left his hand extended for a few moments after Thorion declined his handshake.
Daddy issues if I have ever heard it. he thinks to himself.
"Mischa, I thank you for your healing services. You are a bright ray of sunlight in the midst of the darkest, moonless night. We ready?" he asks the group.

Thorion Trepador |

(Hmm, for some reason I thought Neltji was healing Munkustrap. My bad, I apologize for getting that incorrect. Anyway, I believe that should heal us up to the point that we can press forward. Just keep in mind that healing is now very limited.)

Caine Battaglia |

I can help heal those wounds and aches Caine if you would like. Just know though that the process is a bit painful and it may feel like your blood is no fire. The sensation is temporary and lasts only a minute but you will be fully healed at the end of it. Then after I think we should be better equipped to examine the wreck. Hopefully nothing too overwhelming is present that we can not overcome quickly.
"Thank you, Neltji. I have never experienced a sensation quite like that before, but given where we are and our situation, I figure we will all have our fill of new experiences - both pleasant and unpleasant," Caine says.
"Now, let's get a look at that wreck."
Neltji |

Just for clarification Thorion did not need to heal Caine and still has his spell back correct?
Neltji gives Caine a sincere look of apology as she touches him with the drop of blood and casts her spell. She looks relieved though once th spell has run its course and Caine is healed and did not complain about the questionable nature of her spell. I hope to not need to use such magics in the future but it is the most effective healing spell that Anthony can give me. Now let’s go see about that wreck.
Fyi Neltji is down 2 hp but don’t worry about it as I would rather save the healing for later if we need it. Anthony is at full (4 hp) though!

Rii-Chi |

Rii-Chi follows the human by-play with a slightly confused look on his face as the conversation shoots back and forth. He appears hale and hearty though and happily sets out with the rest.

Heading out to what must have been at one time a grand sailing ship, but is now just a creaking, rotting mess. This wreck is old and most everything has rotted away. After a thorough search of the wreck, you manage to scrounge up the following:

A CLM wand with Charges: 1d4 ⇒ 3
A MW dagger with a ivory handle
A potion of Invisibility

I believe Mischa was healed for 10 hp. This post was a bit back and could have been easily overlooked. I'm guessing Mischa will start to grow devil horns soon after being exposed to devil's blood. (LoL)

Thorion Trepador |

After spending a good portion of the day salvaging through the wreck, Thorion found himself a bit winded. With what bounty that could be retrieved, safely tucked away in the group’s possession, he decided to take a short rest beneath a nearby shade tree. After a comfortable rest he took a moment to survey the surrounding landscape for any sign of survivors.
Survival: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 (Looking for tracks, drag marks, refuge that might have been used for a fire, food left overs, or anything that would indicate that someone survived the wreck.)
After carefully taking a look around the beach, Thorion began visually observing more distant areas for higher ground. (If we can get to a higher view point, we will be able to better surmise a course of action. That is unless the group is ready to return back to camp.)
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 (Looking for a better view point on higher ground or anything that looks out of place.)

Munkustrap |

Munkustrap's eyes go wide as he spies the dagger with the ivory handle. He picks it up flips it from palm to palm before testing the sharpness of the blade. "This is a fine blade. Any objections if I hold on to it?" Quick as a blink, it disappears into one of his sleeves.
As they move to shore, Munkustrap listens to any opinions others may have before piping in. "Well, if you think the folks back at camp haven't killed Gelick yet, we can press our luck and continue on.
"Or head back and see how things are. Up to you though." Munkustrap passes the time by checking all the equipment he is carrying.
I am a completionist at heart - I'd really like to continue following the northwest coast and loop back around the southwest coast to camp.

Thorion Trepador |

I am OK with Neltji taking the wand. I feel I will be in combat more times than not, making her more available to use it than I. Munkustrap is the obvious candidate for the dagger and possibly the potion.

Neltji |

I am good with the loot distribution as I do think with Thorion in heavy armor will be up front more than Neltji ;D.
Neltji sees the items and her eyes go wide at such a lucky find. With these wands we can definitely keep ourselves healthy In our explorations. Yet they have limited uses and we should be careful when we use them.
I do think though that while we are here we should continue to explore as much as possible before heading back. I am sure the others are doing fine as well.

Rii-Chi |

"Ahh - healing wands." Rii-Chi nods sagely. "Useful. Now we will not be beaten by skeletons as often!" He seems unreasonably cheerful about the skeletons incident, but the rest of the group will have observed that the giant monkey doesn't seem to get overly hung-up on any past event, even the shipwreck.
"I agree - more exploring! No point walking all the way back, just to walk out again!"
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Caine Battaglia |

"Agreed," Caine adds. "Let's get the promontory and see what we can see from there. With any luck, though I fear that would take exceptional luck, there will be a ship we can signal."

Thorion Trepador |

Even with the cumbersome overgrowth of the island, Thorion managed to keep up with the group as they made their way to higher ground. The large leafed flora of the island served as a constant reminder of the remoteness of the location, but provided some cover from the relentless sun. The jagged stone that riddle the island’s exterior seemed to lessen as the group moved closer inland. Thorion was happy to be rid of the troublesome stone, but found the increase in elevation to be equally taxing. Once the group found an adequate spot, Thorion took a moment to catch his breath and then began surveying the area. As expected, the absence of vessels along the coast was not a surprise. Not wanting to waste any further effort with a serach of the sea line, he decided to look more inland for anything that looked out of place.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
(C1 sounds good with me. Can we ascertain anything about that location from our vantage point?)

Caine Battaglia |

Looking out over the empty sea, Caine couldn't help but feel profoundly alone, even surrounded by fellow castaways. He silently turns away from the ocean and begins the trek to the western-most point of the narrowing terrain.

Rii-Chi |

Rii-Chi on the other hand seems fairly cheerful, scampering up trees, humming tunes and generally being obnoxiously jolly for someone who was nearly killed recently.

You approach a small cave.

Thorion Trepador |

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Survival: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
In approach to the cave, Thorion points out a number of unusual tracks leading to and from the cave.

Munkustrap |

Munkustrap follows Thorion as he looks at the odd tracks leading out of the cave. "Anyone have any idea what they might be? If it is just a natural animal, I'd rather leave it alone unless it can serve some benefit for us." Munkustrap's new dagger appears in his hands as he address his friends.
I don't have any of the necessary skills.

Thorion Trepador |

"The tracks look to be from some sort of reptile. Aside from that, I have no idea."
After his reply to Munkustrap, Thorion bent down and pick up a small stone from the ground and then began whispering something to himself. Soon the small stone began to glow with a soft blue luminescence. Once the glow had reached its peek in brightness, he tossed it through the entrance of the cave and began an examination of the area.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
"Hopefully, what ever made those tracks has already gone."

Neltji has no idea what they are looking at or the significance of anything in question. Munk, I agree with you if it is a peaceful creature. If it is an aggressive animal then maybe we should either never come back or try to get rid of it so it doesn't come upon us when we are unawares.

Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Caine looks over the tracks, looks at the surrounding terrain, and nods. "Looks like a dimorphodon lives here. They're flyers with big heads. I bet he's out catching fish or other small game. But more to the point, Sasha's looking for one and asked if I could catch one and bring it back, I'm not sure why. They're venomous - use it on their prey. Sasha may have a similar idea."
I looked them up on wikipedia

Rii-Chi |

"I can catch it!" Rii-Chi offers, seemingly confident in his ability to grapple a flying creature. "Someone distract it and I will hold it down!"
With that plan established, the monkey leads the way into the cave, quietly.

(I am unable to move Thorion’s image on the map. If some could move him up next to Rii-Chi, I would appreciate it.)
Thorion’s stone fell shallowly into the entrance of the cave. Its light blue hue illuminated the area enough to ascertain that danger did indeed lurk around a rocky bend just past the caves entrance. The presence within the cave left Thorion concerned enough to invoke a protective spell. The sound of a whispered prayer mixed with ambiance of the surrounding environment moments before a shimmering barrier erected itself around the priest.
