Raven Hawthorne |
"Before we head off, though, we should probably come-up with a name for our little band; we were asked to, after all... How about something simple, like 'Defenders of the Empire'...?"
Things have been rather quiet... I thought that I should 'bump' the thread :-)
Lucius Cassius |
"That sounds okay. I was thinking maybe something like Champions of the Imperium? Or even Heroes of Cheliax? I like the ring of that one."
Raven Hawthorne |
Raven nods.
"Heroes of Cheliax has a nice ring to it; I could certainly support that. We want a name that confirms our role as a group for all citizens of the Empire to look up to..."
Zephyr Jeggare |
"It's an adequate name", Zephyr offers coolly. "But the term 'hero' comes with certain implied obligations that I am not so certain we would all agree to. I believe it's safe to say we would do anything to further the goals of our great kingdom and 'heroes' often have other, less worthy, matters interfere with their service. A title more befitting our role would be better. Perhaps, Champions of the Empire?"
Raven Hawthorne |
Raven shrugs.
"We are supposed to be acting as some sort of symbol, a common banner which the disparate forces within this Empire (including the peasants) can get behind. Regardless of whether or not we live up to it, taking a politically expedient name would seem like a good idea to me."
I would suggest 'Champions of Cheliax', but that sounds... odd.
Lucius Cassius |
I actually like Champions of Cheliax, except for the acronym that comes with it.lol
"Either name works for me. Though I think Raven has a point."

Keiran doesn't seem to object to the name and smiles as he sees you've put some thought into it. He mentions that, Brastlewark being a major city, they can provide teleportation services there or you can ride your horses. He does note that if you choose to take the magical route you will need to travel without your mounts and purchase or rent overland transportation once you arrive.
The teleportation option is likely to save you weeks off of your trip and is obviously less likely to have you assaulted on the way. As noted however you'll need to find transport once you are there to the Aspodean Wall and then back once you have cleared up the situation.
