Backstory:
Hafdan Jelspar is a loyal Chelaxian. He serves his country with aplomb and zeal. A member of the national forces for some time, Hafdan has always supported his fellow citizens. He’s fought his fair share of insurgents and undesirables. He’s put down monster infestations that posed a risk to his home soil. He’s bled for his fellow man and had loyal friends die for him in turn.

Unbeknownst to all… He is also a member of the Red Mantis.

The clan, some would say cult, of assassins long ago established Hafdan in the realm of Cheliax as one of their many agents in the world. Hafdan was only too happy to return to the land of his birth and has since used the skills he’s learned from the Mantis to further help Cheliax gain even more prominence. His allegiance to Achaekek proved remarkably easy to reconcile with the national devotion to Asmodeus. There have been a few unfortunate times where a fellow Chelaxian has fallen to his blade at a missive from the Mantis, but for the most part, Hafdan has managed to increase both the prestige of the Mantis and the power of Cheliax simply for killing those who needed killing.

Most recently, a call went out throughout the nation, looking for true patriots to help further support their country. Hafdan knew without a second thought that this was his calling. The land of his birth needed him and he would be there, blade in hand to serve her.
