Borrum Orcbane |

Sorry I completely mind blanked your post with the double doors.
"Dis way, Borrum says over his shoulder to the others as he moves to the double doors and readies to open them.
My plan with Borrum is to move to the H27 this round, then next round to use a standard action for Total Defense and a move action to open the doors. If I was an enemy, I would be ready to attack anyone opening the door.

DM Greg |

Borrum open the door to find waiting behind waiting for him one ogre and one Ettin. On the far right of the big room stainding in the corner entrance to an other room is standing a hobgoblin wraring nothing but surgeon's outfit.
The two large creature are completly blocking the passage into the next room
Rest of party may go as the two creatures were just in delay

damages: 1d10 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 4 = 14
Borrum, if you go now we will all die, stay here, in Hextor's name !
The suggestion must be worded in such a manner as to make the activity sound reasonable. Asking the creature to do some obviously harmful act automatically negates the effect of the spell.
I don't think asking a follower of Hextor to stop fighting as his comrade is reduce to pulp is reasonable but your call GM :)

DM Greg |

the sugestion is appealing to his greed and no one says you have to stay and get beaten to a pulp. It is not a harmful activity to Him (as per the spell) it is offering him the chance to safly collect gems and treasure away from a harmful fight.

Round 3
All Heroes Go !

Borrum Orcbane |

As a player, I am hoping for a couple of things, 1) Borrum's action has provoked an AoO from an Ogre and the Ettin, and I have not heard an commands to 'Don't attack the dwarf". 2) Borrum has stated the effects of what has happened so maybe others can do something about it. Suggestion is a a pain in the ass spell, but I have 1hr/level to attempt to complete the task. But...
"But someone could steal da treasure from meez. Dat includes yous an' da utters or even dees giantkin or hobgob."

Sorry I am not there to help in this fight.
As an FYI now that Borrum has gone treasure hunting, People could have sworn not to steal the treasure and helped to kill these ogres to prevent them from stealing the treasure. With Galdamor being lawful and a cleric of my god, Borrum would have probably stayed. The spell lasts long enough that I would still have plenty of time to complete the task.
