Azaelas Fayth Here with:
Aundrak, Drow Fighter
One of the earlier born of his siblings. He was always treated as a Bastard do to his Paler Skin though he used that to his advantage to live a free life. His favored weapon and most prized possession is his Bastard Sword even though he is still not capable of using it to full effect. The sword was a gift from a woman he cared for who was killed by the man her father forced her to marry.
A "Knight"-Esque Character who has his own code of honour and will eventually focuses on switch hitting.
P.S.: iIs there a Player's Guide for this?
Are we able to use some Optional/Variant Rules like Piecemeal Armour or Words of Power? NOTE: I am asking out of curiosity and hoping to use Piecemeal Armour to get a flavorful Suit of Armour.

I posted the character creation rules, some background information, and some information on the Seven Siblings and Lost House campaign information all in the campaign tab.
I'll post information on the Patron tomorrow. I'll plan on closing recruitment on Sunday. If you would like to see your stats before making decisions on classes and background, then role in this thread.

It's up.
‘Focus and Foible’: Choose a Focus, an ability score at which you excel.
You receive an 18 in that score.
Choose a Foible, an ability score that is your weakness.
You receive an 8 in that score.
The other four, roll 1d10+7 four times in order.
There are no rerolls or moving of ability scores. Those
are your other four scores.

You say in the character creation guidelines that playtest classes are possibly up for consideration. What do you think of the brawler class?
1d10+7
1d10+7
1d10+7
1d10+7
Gm Put up this list
All classes are permitted save for Paladins, Gunslingers, Ninjas, Samurai, and playtest classes but a few classes require some special considerations.
Assassins are a solid choice for this campaign. Subtle killing can potentially be useful again and again. Yes, this is a prestige class not a core class. But it’s a great prestige class to work towards from level one.
The Anti-paladin from the Advanced Player’s Guide is well suited thematically for this campaign.
Clerics, Inquisitors and Oracles are permitted but any divine PC must worship the Patron.
Druids are an unusual choice but are permitted nonetheless. Druid face some unique challenges in an underground campaign. Normally common components such as mistletoe or berries will be hard to find. Animal companions who can operate in the dark (such as dire bats or giant beetles) will have an edge over more typical choices. Also the cave druid archetype is a good choice to make this class more viable.
Rangers will find that Humanoid (elf) and Aberration are solid choices for their favored enemy.
Sorcerers of any bloodline are permitted. Abyssal and Deep Earth bloodlines are particularly good choices.

Okay, Let me see what if the God of Dice will smile to me...
<snip>
Dang.. :( Someone dont want me to play. Sad.
So glad I'm not the only one being hated by the dice roller... Thankfully mine crashed...
Maybe we could have the option of a Point Buy? Or a Stat Array?
CON: 18
STR: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
DEX: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
INT: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
WIS: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
CHA: 8
EDIT: At least that is somewhat serviceable...
EDIT 2: Whoops Misslabled! Was planning to go either Fighter or Magus focused on Short Sword/Gladius...
Ghost1776 |
O.K. So True Neutral, and Chaotic Neutral are valid alignment choices, that I can work with.
STR: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
CON: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
INT: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
WIS: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
DEX=18
CHR=8
So with the normal Drow stat mods I get
STR 17
DEX 20
CON 11
INT 8
WIS 13
CHR 10
Ranger, it is. But the first two level will probably be fighter for the extra combat feats.

I wouldn't mind playing a drow again, I've played one before.
Do they all have to be evil? I tend to play neutral characters, and there's no reason a drow couldn't be neutral (my last one was LN).
I'm thinking a LN Black Blade Magus.
Or perhaps a LN Bard of some stripe.
My assumption would be no drow nobles? :)
So... no answer on these questions?
Aundrak |
Hmm... Silent Killer Ability Trait, Archer Fighter Build, Weapon Finesse for close combat using Cestus, Darklands Stalker and maybe a few other alternate traits from the ARG... Oh yeah I definitely can make a salvageable character...
Hmm... Exiles Stolen Treasure to get a bit better Bow or Armour.
Really wishing I had access to Dervish Dance &/or Durable Arrows.
Then I could go for my Blade Dancer Magus Build or maybe a Bow and Arrow set for the Stolen Treasure...
@mdt: Lawful Neutral is out do to the restrictions on the Campaign Info Tab. But no answer on the Drow Nobles but given the campaigns basis I don't think that would fit in.

I'm sorry for bribing the dice bot...I'm really sorry. Drowish sorry.
Ask my likely Twin Brother 'Ridge'.
Gives Dice bot cookie
GM Rolls: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Gives Dice bot Lady GaGa
GM Rolls: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Gives Dice bot cookie
GM Rolls: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Threatens Dice bot With Justin Bieber
GM Rolls: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Anyone else wants to use these if GM allows......

Glad to see the proper race won out :)
Hoping to play an arcane caster of some sort. Very Rastlinesque...
Strength 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Dexterity 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Constitution Foible 8
Intelligence Focus 18
Wisdom 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Charisma 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
EDIT...
Right...I can...work...with this.
Attribute Trait: Master of Arcane Secrets, +2 Int, +2 Wis, -2 Con
Class: Sorcerer (wildblooded archetype) (sage/arcane bloodline)
Campaign Trait: Improved Dark Vision
I'll get a sheet made up for review tomorrow.
Andiemus |
I'm hoping to be in this.
Dice-I-tize me captain!
Focus: Intelligence, foible: charisma
Strength: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Dex: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Con: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Wis: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
So Silent Assassin makes this
Strength 17
Dexterity 16
Constitution 13
Intelligence 18
Wisdom 14
Charisma 6.
Kensai it is.
True Repentance |
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Taking Devotee of Dark Powers for alternate stat bonus and Improved Darkvision. Originally was going to druid but don't like such low charisma, it would probably fit a cave druid or something but it wouldn't let me take nobility feats. So instead, I have two ideas. a wildblooded sorcerer of the umbral bloodline. Or, a Dual cursed(haunted and deaf) oracle of dark tapestry that gets shadow bloodline powers through eldritch heritage. Both fit the backstory im working on so yea...
She will be a bit too smart and charismatic for her own good and will need the guidance of her siblings. Planning to get numerous drow racial feats. Could be a leader sort of (wishes to ascend into nobility). Using her dark magic which she got from a spirit of shadow that visits her every now and then helping her power grow, she will not stop until she has enslaved the whole Azathyr.
Will post a more expanded backstory but that is the outline.
Str 8 (foible)
Dex 12
Con 15
Int 17
Wis 10
Cha 20
Andiemus |
You know, the Haunted and Deaf thing could go very well with what I've been cooking up. A kensai who was brutalized during the kicking out from Taarysssia, smoke and blunt force trauma damaging his ability to speak and burns deforming his face. He rarely speaks verbally, communicating in Drow Sign Language and his verbal components are spoken very low and quietly, and his normal verbal communication is growly and trollish. Thus, there's an obvious affinity with a deaf sibling.
True Repentance |
AHA! Yea the oracle idea is sounding cooler to me the more I think about it and it fits even better with the backstory I have for her so far (of shadow spirits and such) better than just a plain sorcerer. The drow don't have any favoured class options for oracle though which is a bummer.
She would DEFINATELY know drow sign language and I guess she would lip read other languages.
And with the loss of hearing her sight gets SO much better with her trait and shadow school power Night Eye which gives more darkvision range and 11th level mystery pierce the veil which can see in ANY kind of darkness. So losing her hearing causes her sight to become almost perfect really.
Having other sibling that use drow sign language would be great, though she has learnt to lip read just fine.
I really think the first level shadow bloodline ability is really lame though and hope GM might allow me to take the Umbral ability instead.

Str 18

Int 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Wis 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Cha 8
With those stats, I'll most likely come out with an Antipaladin. Still a fighter I forgot I don't have any Cha. lol
Haven't had a confirmed Sibling to go with.
I'm thinking of seven deadly sins..........
True Repentance |
I would call my drow oracle Moghedien but that would be lame... Still, she is the sort of character I am going for here. Stealthy, keeps to the darkness and doesn't like to be seen. Manipulates others to do things for her, pulling invisible strings. Stuff like that. I think she would have to be a mix of chaotic and lawful, or rather, switching to act either way whenever it suited her, which is probably net chaotic anyway.

Well since the DM has remained silent I'll assume it's a no to brawler. The only other way I can see these stats work is for a magus.
Str(foliable)=8
Dex=15
Con=14
Int(focus)=18
Wis=8
Cha=11

Ooookay then...one ugly, feebleminded, weakling Cave Druid coming up:
Leiaf spent much of his childhood hiding in the darkest places, nursing his bruises and his ego both. Those hidden grottos and crevices became his domain, where he and he alone ruled. Yes, his subjects, were grubs and spiders and blind skinks, but he discovered a beauty and power there that became his alone.
Since the septuplets have been banished to Vothys, Leiaf finds that his unusual and hard won skills are more and more called upon by his siblings to survive and prosper in this exile frontier. He relishes the chance to live up to their expectations while at the same time still resenting them for their superiority.
crunch to follow...

To cover a host of questions:
(1) I'm not allowing the playtest classes at this time. If and when they are complete, a retcon of character maybe allowed.
(2) Posting frequency is once per day.
(3) As far as re-rolls, if your total ability bonuses before racial ability modifiers is applied equals or is lower than zero, then you can re-roll.
(4) characters are typical drow and not drow nobles (pcs may take feats to gain drow noble powers).
(5) The Patron is the primary diety/demon lord/extraplanar influence in the game. It is a new mechanic for the adventure path. I will be developing one that will incorporate some of the needs and background for the campaign. I hope to have it posted tonight.
Hope that answers all questions for now!
