Kendrik |
The eagle closes and full attacks. Striking the goblin starting the fire first, and moving on if it manages to dispatch that one.
ClawClawBite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 61d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Kendrik stops walking, loads his crossbow, and attemps a shot at the unengaged goblin on the other tower.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
DM_Goat |
Both the Goblins in the Eastern tower are now down for the count, while YenYen skewers the one attacking her.
Down below, the Goblins you are escorting charge around the bottoms of the towers, three rushing to the door Runolf has kicked in, but they shy away when they get close to Hilda. Four head for the door to the other tower and try to bash that one in. 1d20 ⇒ 5 1d20 ⇒ 8 Their strength, even combined, proves to be insufficient.
Malleck fires at the Goblin in the West tower but the cover afforded by the crenellations protects him.
A crossbow bolt flies at the Eagle, missing. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
The rest of the party may act.
Runolf |
- HP 15/15
- AC 1 ( T:1 / FF:1)
- Init +2
- Senses: Perception +
Runolf and Hilda make their way inside and do what they have to to reach the top where the fight is happening in time.
__________________________________________________________________________
idk if this is going to take a full round or what, if they can move and make an attack this round, feel free to roll for that.
Kendrik |
Kendrik holds his crossbow close and takes a full run to the other side of the towers. Arriving in time to see Runolf disappear, he takes up a threatening position facing the empty doorway.
..or it would be, were he not panting, and had he reloaded his crossbow.
The eagle will fly across to attack the far goblin, if it's standing. If not, it descends to land on Kendrik's shoulder.
Eagle Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
DM_Goat |
The Goblin atop the tower is too nimble for YenYen's sword to strike a telling blow.
Runolf and Hilda find a fifty foot ladder inside the tower, which will be difficult for Hilda to climb.
The Goblin atop the Western tower attacks YenYen with his blade, 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 but misses.
The smoke continues to rise, though the icy wind is still blowing most of it away.
Round 4
Kendrik's Eagle attacks and tears at the Goblin's flesh.
Diplomacy or Intimidate check please Henry.
Malleck |
Malleck reload and fires again
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 1 = 22
Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Damage Roll: 1d8 ⇒ 6
DM_Goat |
The Goblins are not persuaded by Henry, and continue to attempt to break the door down. 1d20 ⇒ 8 1d20 ⇒ 6 They continue to fail.
Halleck's bolt, while well-aimed, is unable to find its mark while the target is being engaged in melee by YenYen and an Eagle.
Round 4 continues
Henry, Kath, Kaneka, Runolf and Hilda, YenYen
Other Goblins
YenYen |
As soon as Yenyen saw the goblin's knife, she sidesteps to the side, ducks forward and thrusts her wakizashi up the goblin's throat.
Wakizashi: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Runolf |
- HP 15/15
- AC 1 ( T:1 / FF:1)
- Init +2
- Senses: Perception +
Runolf leaps up the ladder, giving Hilda a glance and a shrill whistle as he goes. The signal is enough for Hilda and she begrudgingly remains at the base of the tower, pacing and whining as she waits for her friend to return.
_________________________________________________________________________
Runolf climbs the ladder as hastily as possible, and instructs Hilda to wait.
Kendrik |
Kendrik moves next to the tower, and summons again. A fiendish rat appears halfway up the tower wall as the celestial eagle vanishes.
"Go sit on the fire!" he yells and points at the tower top, and the rat starts to scurry up the side of the tower.
Also, sorry but I switched companions again. Eagle is in the Rats position for now.
Malleck |
In Malleck turn, he too will go to the tower, running. To help there. Gnight guys. 11pm
Runolf |
- HP 15/15
- AC 1 ( T:1 / FF:1)
- Init +2
- Senses: Perception +
"Let the damn tower burn!" Runolf urged from where he poked his head out of the tower. The threat was defeated, the little bastards had probably started the blaze themselves, and the gob-stained ruins were surely of no value to the team. He instead leads Hilda in a search of the tower he's in for anything of value among the scrap while the others play fire brigade.
__________________________________________________________________________
Runolf Perception take 10 : 17
Hilda Perception take 10 : 20
Kendrik |
"If it burns, we'll be hunted by everything for miles. Put the damn fire out!"
Kendrik tries to keep the goblins out from underfoot, as his rat continues for the fire.
DM_Goat |
The smoke does look more like a signal than a random act of pyromania. Kath's ray does strike the fire, slowing its progress somewhat, but it seems that it will be the wind which decides if the smoke will build up enough to be seen from any distance. Kendrik's Rat, not speaking Common, climbs to the top of the tower and disappears over the crenellations. What it is doing up there is a mystery for the moment.
The distance to the Eastern tower's door is farther than can be reached in six seconds, so the help from Henry's comrades will not come soon enough to assist him immediately.
Searching the inside of the Western tower, Runolf turns up two tanglefoot bags and a potion.
Round 6 actions for all but Kendrick.
YenYen |
"I admire great architecture naturally, except when I'm trying to break it." says Yenyen as she moves back a good distance, runs fast and throws a flying kick at the door.
Str Check: 1d20 ⇒ 20
That should open it a little bit right?
Runolf |
- HP 15/15
- AC 1 ( T:1 / FF:1)
- Init +2
- Senses: Perception +
Runolf saunters out with a good-hearted belly laugh sporting the mysterious potion in his hand, the two tanglefoot bags already secure on his belt. He wanders over to the goblins and sets his sights on gathering the cargo to be ready to move once the fire was contained. He decides to try a different approach." Aye lads, it looks like they've ruined all the fun." He jests, referring to the flame." Signal Smignal, Let's get ready to get moving fellas."
________________________________________________________________________
Diplomacy vs Gobs: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
DM_Goat |
YenYen, have you even looked at the map? It's going to take you at least two rounds to get to the door, and then another to get to the top of the tower where the signal is. As of Round 5, you haven't broken the door down yet.
I don't know if I was clear... the tower itself isn't on fire, it's a signal fire in a container at the top.
Malleck |
sorry, actually thought the way was clear to get to the signal fire. Didn't know door hasn't been broken down yet
DM_Goat |
Runolf convinces the Goblins to gather to move on, but they are looking with longing at the other tower.
Henry pounds the door in, and immediately there is a burst of flame.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 It catches him unawares, singeing him. 1d4 ⇒ 3 damage to Henry.
On the other side of the door is a Goblin with a headdress made of bird bones, who has just cast a spell. She cackles and prepares to cast another spell when Kendrick's Dire Rat drops on her back from above.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 Its teeth fail to connect as the Goblin flails to avoid it.
Round 6 Actions still available for Kaneka, and Kath you can try another Ranged Touch
Kendrik |
Kendrik aims and fires his crossbow through the broken tower door, trying his best not to hit his companion or the rat.
Crossbow: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 181d8 ⇒ 6
Crit: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7
DM_Goat |
Kendrick strikes the Goblin with his somewhat unlikely shot, eliciting a screech from the Goblin.
Your Goblins, seeing the burst of flame from the doorway, let out an 'OOOooooohhhh', but with Runolf watching over them, they do not get themselves involved in the battle.
Round 7 Contd.
Malleck
Goblin Shaman 6 damage
Everyone else
DM_Goat |
Nothing from Malleck, so botting him.
Malleck runs around to the far side of the tower to try and get a shot on the Goblin. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
The Goblin steps away from the rat attacking her and casts a spell at the bothersome rat, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 which the rodent promptly ignores!
Everyone else may act for Round 7.
