Henry grew up in mountains with his father and his brother. His mother stayed behind with his sister in the nearby town while he and the rest of his family went to live off the land and make it suitable for the women.
While living with his father and brother he learned to hunt, build, and work metal. While tending the flames and making equipment for the completion of the new home one of the hunting dogs spotted something and ran after it. The dog ran into him and he fell into the coals. The fire burnt his face and part of his neck. Scars formed over the left side of his face and neck. The dog never got what it saw.
Once Henry reached adulthood he left the mountains to make weapons for whoever would buy them. Spending the next six years around weapons he learned to use them and began teaching others to use them. He was then recruited into the military as a quartermaster and weapons master.
