"Yes, is fine. What ever need." The little creature cowers, its hands trailing into wisps in front of its face.

Hello?

M Human Level 10 Fighter (Lore Warden) HP 117/121 AC 27 (30 Expertise) (+15 Perception; +4 Init; Fort +12, Ref +11, Will 7+4 vs fear) +2 vs transmutation and necromancy)

Relan prepares to bed down. He tries to be non-threatening.

Female Azlanti Pureblood Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 10

Braelex moves in slowly and does her best to remain nonthreatening after the aggressive magical display. "What can you tell us about this land? And what else do you know about the Dark Rider? We don't have any gemstones now, but perhaps we'll find some nearby we can bring you."

The creatures shy away from further attempts to communicate with them, cowering in fear.

Female Azlanti Pureblood Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 10

Braelex shakes her head at Andel and looks for a spot to lie down.

You will be able to rest without interruption. Do your healing and memorization. Since Nalar will be NPC/bot for a while, I would like you all to pick his spells for memorization. If you post for him in combat great. If not, I may or may not post for him. There will be no retcon for him missing a round of you all dont request an action. I will fulfill a request from anyone for his actions as long as they arent suicidal and no one else objects

M Human Level 10 Fighter (Lore Warden) HP 117/121 AC 27 (30 Expertise) (+15 Perception; +4 Init; Fort +12, Ref +11, Will 7+4 vs fear) +2 vs transmutation and necromancy)

I'll ready up on his character abilities and try to be ready to help play him. Are we going back in the morning to where we run from?

Relan tries to be friendly as well and while he takes no chances he makes sure he does nothing threatening.

Again, the night passes without incident, yet you are unable to get anything else out of the locals.

Returning ... front door? Prep?

Female Azlanti Pureblood Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 10

Braelex wakes early and prepares her extracts in the corner of the cave while the others are getting up and eating breakfast. Lastly, she gulps down her mutagen, making her limbs more lithe and her eyes slightly larger. "Alright, lets clear out that evil tower!"

When we head out, Braelex will drink resist cold and resinous skin extracts.

Vuloo and Andel follow the others to the tower.

As they approach, Vuloo will whisper to the group, "Should we scout around to see if there is an alternate entrance? We may save ourselves some trouble if we can sneak in through the back door."

The party circles the Black Keep once making note of windows and exits where it can.

Map uncovered

take an alternate entrance or head back through the front?

Female Azlanti Pureblood Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 10

Is there any windows or balconies on higher levels that we might be able to use?

Braelex ponders the macabre tower with a keen eye. "I'd suggest not using one of the usual entrances if possible... several of us can fly and secure a rope for those who cannot."

The best 3d I have is the image. So using the two together let me know where you want to enter (indicate on map on a window or door)

HOw do you wish to get up there? Someone will fly and secure a rope per Braelex's suggestion? Who and how?

Female Azlanti Pureblood Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 10

I'll fly if someone has the rope. Or I can use a few charges from the wand to get everyone flying (I assume Nalar can fly himself, not sure about Andel).

I am back. I do not see a way that Nalar can fly. I believe that Relan has the wings from the wizard guy with the harpy girlfriend. If so he can fly.

Braelex and Relan fly up together and secure the rope to the window ledge. Glancing in as they open the window they see an odd sight. The room beyond the windows is a cramped, claustrophobic affair. An obvious humming emanates from inside what appears to be a narrow stone closet: enormous machines formed from mazes of curving pipes and sealed orbs and cylinders, their metal disappearing seamlessly into the stone floor. There doesn't appear to be an exit.

1d100 ⇒ 23

As they turn to the rest of the party, they are interrupted by a screech. Exploding out of the top of the broken tower are three winged dragon creatures with different colored scales. Monstrously large creatures, their most noticeable feature is a huge hooked stinger on their tails.

They shoot like arrows toward Braelex and Relan.

Fly checks required for the fliers depending on your specific actions

Two of the beasts charge by the climbing duo one swinging its tail at Braelex sticking her in the side. She feels hot burning poison injected into her body. The second bites at the fast moving Relan (Combat Reflexes applies), and latches on to the warrior with it's vicious clamping bite. The third darts down toward Nalar whipping its tail as well hitting the wizard in the shoulder and pumping poison into him as well.

Correct on can only use 1 hand during grapple. Draw and use dagger should be fine.

Female Azlanti Pureblood Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 10

Is there not a floor inside the room?

There is. Have to fly to get there, yes?

Female Azlanti Pureblood Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 10

Usually don't have to make checks for normal movement, but here you go: Fly: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27

I conflated a couple rules. Didn’t consider that you were landing at the end of your movement when determining that you needed a fly check for moving less than half

Wyverns again? Wait, that's a different game ... Round 1 (cont)

Init: Wyverns, Braelex, Andel, Relan, Vuloo, Nalar

Braelex effortlessly slips into the room and clicks her heels, firing off two rapid shots and striking the nearest wyverns with caustic bolts, eliciting a muted roar of pain that washes over Relan's form as the wyvern maintains its clamp on the warrior. Relan, dropping his pole arm, seizes the opportunity to free one hand and whip out his morning star bringing it smashing down between the creature's eyes. It blinks in pain, but doesn't let go, wings flapping away.

Andel fires and misses, while Vuloo starts casting.

Nalar attempts to charm the beast closest to him, but the enraged beast shakes off the compulsion.

20 feet ... if you technically have a fly speed with the wings on, I'd say no, you can continue flying, no falling. If you have to concentrate to make them work then yes
