OK, we're going to assume you grapple the ship.

Robo-Galean pilots your ship in close and slams into the opposing ship while your crew, valiantly, grapples with the ship and brings you in close. Through the chaos you see four men standing on deck in crimson armor shaped to look like the body of a preying mantis.

They ignore the crew and look solely at you.

I am going to ignore small fry because it makes the map too busy, I'll just do some color for combat's sake - you do not have to worry about maneuvering around people however the enemy counts as in melee for ranged attacks.

Please place yourself on the map (current locations are simply to show where you are) - you can get in the rigging if you'd like to use acrobatics to swing between ships!

Galean crashes the ship with a howling screech as wood collides with wood. "Ha! You can't escape Berryboy forever!", he shouts, as he raises his hands in the air.

A trio of albatrosses swoops down from the sky, landing next to the somewhat surprised assassin closest to the rudder. AC25

Galean takes a step away from the rudder, eyeing the red-clad figure.

The assassins are unhappy at the idea of magical attackers and move aggressively to end the threats.

The mantis threatened by the seagulls attacks one.

In a shower of blood and feathers the bird explodes as the mantis kills it easily.

The farthest mantis assassins flourishes his bow and fires at Ayre.

Uh, didn't Galean move last turn? I did mention AC 20(the square), and double move to there.

Galean takes a scornful look at the assassin dispatching the last of his aerial allies. A small hurricane appears in his left arm, and as he closes his fist, a gush of wind blows the red-hooded assassin towards Galean.

Targeting the one at AC25 with Wind Blast, towards Galean and the rest of the party.

Bull Rush: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 4 = 18

As the wind blows the assassin closer (or just seemingly does so), Galean draws his cutlass and shield, making a taunting motion with his hand.

Galean I'm sorry to hear that! I'll keep that in mind for combat for the moment, keep us updated when you can and good luck!

Ayre, Nymph and Galean: you hear the creak of wet leather behind you and when you turn for a second to check you realize the Mantis assassin Ayre blew off into the sea has scaled the port side of the ship and is standing there with sea water dripping off his saw-tooth saber.

You have enough time to think, incongruously, that the blade will be ruined if the assassin doesn't clean it soon.

Map update soon but the bad guy is at Z13.

Robo-Galean climbs over the side of the ship, picks up regular Galean and pitches him into the ocean.

Meat-Galean is busy, Robo-Galean will deal with annoying ambulatory humanoids!

Extending his arms, pipes pop out of his hands and a yellow cloud that smells strongly of spoiler water and rotten eggs washes over the pirates.

Inferior living beings! Suffer from having fleshy bowels filled with unstable fluids instead of superior gears lubricated with oil!

The assassin, still standing at AA26, staggers from Yuki's arrow and Ayre's magic.

You can hear gagging from everyone present as the cloud of seasickness rolls out across the enemy ship.

One of them shakes off the effects of the spell but the other seems to sway back in forth in counter-time with the rocking ship .

Robo-Galean has steam start shooting of his ears.

Error, error! Attack only 50% effective! Recalibration required!

Robo-Galean then jumps into the sea and throws Galean back onto the deck.

The assassins, as confused as anyone else when Robo-Galean appears, renew their assault on Galean in order to prevent further silliness.

Bad news - my work is picking up because the job I have was shared between two people and the other person is leaving their job for another one - which means that I'll be less able to update during the day as I'll be alternately doing more work and eventually training someone else.

Good news - my job is now more secure than ever because I'm the only one doing it at the moment, so I'm still able to pay for things like internet, PDF's that Paizo churns out monthly and the handles of Evan Williams that allow me to be as creative as I am (no comments from the peanut gallery!).

What that means for you - fewer updates from me during the work day! This gives you the ability to quibble, roleplay during combat, explore alternative hobbies like playing the harmonica or woodworking and/or contemplate your navel.'

But I trust you to spend your time wisely, because after all you're already spending it playing in my game, which proves your superior judgement and taste.

im not sure, having never played a Wizard before. I was pondering going for PB and Precise but that is a bummer of a feat tax.

Right now I am leaning toward damage because of our inability to hit anything, but control could also be fun...what would you suggest for each?

Never played wizard in Pathfinder, I'd find the right kind of metamagic spell. Once you're high enough, Persistent Spell makes suck or save annoying (as you know!)

Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration are good pick ups if you don't absolutely need anything in my opinion as well.
