Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Thought I posted that... damn Eastern European internets... Summoning to J12.
Have a bit more time now, so I'll be keeping an eye out and posting more often. Will update the loots as well.

DM Davy Jones |

The creature who burst through the soil is displeased at the appearance of the lobster, but contents itself with trying to drag Nymph underground.
Maintain Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
It fails to retain hold of the ranger.
Go.

Ayre |

1d20 + 4 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 4 + 2 = 16 for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 1 Bleed
Ayre sends a spear hurtling toward the critter I added +2 cause it is grappled

Nymph |

Freed Nymph keeps hacking and chomping at the overly friendly bug.
Shortsword: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 - 1 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 10
Bite: 1d20 + 5 - 5 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 5 - 1 = 4
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 3 + 1 = 10
HP: 9/26

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

A massive white lobster appears next to the beast, promting Galean to shout out to the others. "Woah!"
The crustacean begins clacking its clacky things at the creature, attempting to rend it to pieces.
Attack of the 5 foot lobster!: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 = 11
Attack of the 5 foot lobster!: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 = 25
Attack of the 5 foot lobster!: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 = 29
Confirmation. Of the same lobster: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 2 = 14 Son of a shrimp...
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 plus save For DC 13 [15]; frequency 1/round for 4 rounds; effect 1d2 Str; cure 1 save
The lobster begins rending the flesh of the monster as its futile attempts to get down with Nymph go to fault.
"Woo! Get him!", shouts Galean, charging the monster with his cutlass, missing completely, as the battle of the beasts unfolds.
Cutty: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
What is this creature..., thinks Galean, as he realizes the fact that he, as the resident naturalist, should probably know something about it.
Knowledge(Nature): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Yuki Okano |

Yuki uses her bow again, but this time only one arrow to preserve her aim. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to help.
Longbow+PBS: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 = 12

DM Davy Jones |

The creature isn't natural, that much Galean is sure of, but it matters not because Nymph's shortsword punctures the terrible creature and it shudders and dies.
Should have done an acid spit. Oh well!
The Brobdingnagian burrowing bug's bellicosity notwithstanding, you now stand in motionless in the field, waiting for the other shoe to drop...several seconds pass and nothing else seems to stir.

Nymph |

Relieved at her attacker's ending Nymph falls flat onto her back. "I. Hate. Shellfish." she growls out through heavy breaths.

Yuki Okano |

After taking a moment to catch her breath, Yuki tries to recover her used arrows, finding two still usable.
Arrow Recovery, 1 is bad: 3d2 ⇒ (2, 1, 2) = 5
"I doubt that thing had any valuable stashed nearby, let's keep moving." She suggests afterwards.

Nymph |

Nymph nods stupidly in agreement before standing back up and following in behind Yuki.

Nymph |

Where else would we be going?

Nymph |

... are giant crawdads known for their treasure hoarding habits?

Ayre |

Ayre and Rocky diligently search for treasure!!
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 in Ayre's nose apparently

Nymph |

Seeing Ayre and Rocky searching around for... something Nymph decides to help out, though she has no idea what she's looking for.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

DM Davy Jones |

Nymph, you come across a body that has a vial with a light gray liquid in it. It catches the light like water.

Nymph |

Nymph cautiously pokes the body a few times with her shortsword before picking up the vial and taking it over for Ayre to inspect.

Nymph |

If it turns out to be a potion it could also be a Perception check. And that last post was supposed to say Ayre, fixed now.

Yuki Okano |

"I guess there was valuable stuff here after all!" Yuki says with a half-smile, "We should probably move on now, though."

Nymph |

Nymph nods before moving on.

DM Davy Jones |

You make your way along the shoreline, coming to a point where high cliffs surrounding a deep cove churning with dark seawater. The cliffs around the cove vary from 40 to 80 feet high.
You can make a Knowledge (Geography) or Profession (Sailor) check to determine facts about the cover, or you can climb down the cliffs with a DC 15 Climb Check.

Nymph |

Profession (Sailor): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

*cracks knuckles*
Profession(Sailor): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32
"Woah! That's a steep climb...", exclaim Galean, seeing the cove. "I'd bet that would make for a sick pirate hideout, though, if you have a good navigator!", he continues, clearly meaning himself. "And, Nymph, please be nice to Moby, he's not used to be here in the warm weather, give him a praise now and again.", he grins, clearly meaning the albino giant lobster.

DM Davy Jones |

Based on the color of the water you're pretty sure there's no rocks below the surface. With a decent dive you'd be able to go straight down without climbing.
Swim or Acrobatics check to dive in!

Nymph |

Arching a brow at the Druid Nymph turns to the great white lobster, if it's still here, and gives the creature a tentative thumbs up.
Turning back to the water below Nymph takes a deep breath as she allows her body to shift, fins and gills cutting across her body as she lets her shark teeth fall out, leaving a smile of humanoid teeth she shows to the others before jumping over the side.
Swim: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22

DM Davy Jones |

Nymph successfully plunges into the water, the icy grips of the water pulling her towards a tunnel in the rear of the cove which was hidden from view.
You all have one round to follow Nymph down!

Yuki Okano |

Yuki attempts to dive down after the rest, although not quite as graceful as the others.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

DM Davy Jones |

After you plunge into the water, you turn and see Yuki belly flop into the cove.
Nonlethal Damage: 2d3 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
Meanwhile, attracted by the plunges into the water, several of the goblin squids you are so familiar with swim up through the cove.
Initiative (Ayre): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Initiative (Galean): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Initiative (Nymph): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Initiative (Yuki): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Initiative (Monster): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Initiative (Monster): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
You've won initiative, you are in non-flowing water!

Nymph |

Cringing at hearing the loud smack Yuki's tummy made she looks over her shoulder to make sure the other woman isn't drowning before surging forth at the aquatic goblin things. With a mental note to offer Yuki a belly massage afterwards.
Shortsword (Charge): 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 1 - 1 + 2 = 15
Damage (Piercing, Magic): 1d6 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 8
HP: 9/26

Ayre |

Ayre sends a spear at one
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 for1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 and 1 bleed

DM Davy Jones |

Galean begins summoning another one of his feathery friends R14, and a seagull's scream is heard.
Words cannot express how terrible an idea this is. Are you sure you don't want to pick an animal that can swim?
Nymph, roll a Swim check to move.

Nymph |

Nymph, roll a Swim check to move.
Swim Speed A creature with a swim speed can move through water at its indicated speed without making Swim checks. It gains a +8 racial bonus on any Swim check to perform a special action or avoid a hazard. The creature can always choose to take 10 on a Swim check, even if distracted or endangered when swimming. Such a creature can use the run action while swimming, provided that it swims in a straight line.
So can I take a 10? Or if the DC is 19 or under I autosucceed.

DM Davy Jones |

Ah, I missed the shape change you made before you jumped into the water. Nevermind.

Nymph |

Duh dun duh dun duh dun Nom nom
More seriously though I should go back to listing the features she has when she shifts :3 Right now it's Swim Speed, Amphibious, and Ferocity.

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Nymph |

And Gal summons something with even more hormone laden horniness than his teenage self.

Yuki Okano |

"Oomph, arrgggh, oooouch!" Yuki exclaims painfully as she hits some rocks on the way down.
Her desire to take a few moments to recover her dignity thwarted by the appearance of octo-gobs, Yuki swims as necessary to avoid cover penalties and fires an arrow into whichever enemy appears the most injured.
Swim: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Arrow + PBS: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

DM Davy Jones |

Galean summons a dolphin into the waters and Yuki's arrow hits home.
One of the creatures squeals as Ayre's arrow pierces it and the one Nymph attacks screams terribly as it dies, its blood floods into the water in response to her vicious attack.
The creatures surround attack the dolphin summoned in their midst.
Attack (Spear): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Damage (Spear): 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Attack (Bite): 1d20 ⇒ 7
Dolphin is at 1/15 HP

Yuki Okano |

Poor Dan Marino, it's bad enough that he got kidnapped in Ace Ventura.
Emboldened by her success despite holding onto the cursed nodachi, Yuki fires two arrows into the grindylow she has a clear view of, switching targets if the first arrows kills it.
Target in S15, moving to S14 if it dies from the first arrow.
Rapid Shot 1 + PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Rapid Shot 2 + PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
