DM Cuc |

After following the path for some time, Holgur beings to led the party off the before Mes takes over and beings to lead the party in the right direction. After some banter between Mes and Balthe, you guys hear some weird moaning and feet dragging on the ground. When you turn around you see 3 female looking ghouls with ragged dressed and long tongues approaching you.
INIT G: 3d20 + 2 ⇒ (6, 12, 6) + 2 = 26
Mes: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Holgur: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Four Skulls: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Jasmine: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Balthe: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
You guys are up first. The path is the one with the arrow, and the "blue" tiles are little streams, that are difficult terrain.

Mesdoram |

Mesdoram levels his crossbow and fires a quarrel at the nearest ghoul.
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 Attack to D5
Damage (Crossbow): 1d8 ⇒ 8 Well, I sure hope the quarrel hits now.
In Tengu:
Ghouls, grindylows and ghastly pirate captains. This has been the lowest two months of my life.

Balthe Synder |

Balthe moves forward and activates his martial flexibility to gain improved trip

Mesdoram |

Well, I don't know if I can take my hit (miss?) back?

DM Cuc |

Mes bolts smashes in the ghoul which causes the ghoul to let out a howl.
Four Skulls sends a burst of purple energy shooting towards the ghouls. The ghouls howl even louder as the purple wave has not effect on them.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Those were some darn good dice rolls. Jasmine and Holgur you guys are up. Then it is the ghouls.

Holgur |

Attack
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage
1d8 ⇒ 1
"Die...again! is all that Holgur can spit out before he fires his arrow into the ghoul that Mesdoram wounded. Concentrate your fire on one and bring it down. Then move to the others he recalls being taught.
Very @^_Y(UH^* funny, Dice Roller!

Jasmine Rose |

RD 1: Jasmine
"Inferosphere"
A ball of flaming fire stops on D:6, and begins to burn the ghoul,
fire: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 2) = 12
DC 16 reflex negates this round
RD 1/3
"Let's watch the dead burn, their ghastly flesh crackling in the fire, snapping like fresh twigs over a bonfire."

Balthe Synder |

Wow! I will be staying away from that! Balthe says as he decides to attack a different ghoul.

Balthe Synder |

He moves to D7 and attempts to put the ghoul on its back
Trip: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

DM Cuc |

jas: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Holgur's arrow pierces the already wounded ghoul as it begins to limp towards the party.
The Ghoul in D:6 is able to avoid most of the damage of the flaming sphere as it begins to advance towards Jasmine.
Balthe is easily able to trip up the ghoul.
Four Skulls you will go immediately after the ghouls.
The Ghouls in D:5 and D:6 advance to I:5 and I:6
The Ghoul in I:6 takes two swipes at Four Skulls and attempts to bite him.
claw1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
claw2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
The Ghoul next to Balthe stands up and attempts to bite him.
bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Balthe resolve your AoO. I cannot remember since the ghoul is standing up can it take all of its attacks?
Nobody was hit, so you guys are up. Balthe you get your AoO plus your normal attack.
Four Skulls unleashes another blast of negative energy that smashes into the two ghouls closest to the party (I5 and I6).
I5: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
I6: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
d7: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
I thought channeling negative energy healed the undead? If it doesn't then please let me know what it does as two of the three ghouls were hit.

Balthe Synder |

It only gets one attack and I am not able to trip
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Mesdoram |

Mesdoram reloads his crossbow and lets another quarrel loose at the ghoul nearest him (I5).
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage (Crossbow): 1d8 ⇒ 1
Oh yeah, got that one good, presuming I hit.

Jasmine Rose |

RD 2: Jasmine
Jasmine moves the flaming sphere to I:6 and lets the creature burn
"Burn!"
fire: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1) = 4
DC 16 reflex negates this round
RD 2/3
That sux!
Jasmine will use here standard action to back up out of harms way.

Mesdoram |

Well, the attacks add up. Over time. Eventually.

DM Cuc |

Holgur's arrow flies into the Ghouls eye socket and causes the ghoul to fall over "dead," after a few moments, you are sure that it is no longer a threat to you.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
As Jasmine's spear of flames smashes into the ghoul, it is unable to avoid the full blunt of the fire.
Balthe kicks the ghoul in the head and causes its head to snap back.
10

The Ghoul next to Four Skulls unloads on him with two powerful swipes of its claws, and then goes in for a bite. However, the claws harmlessly graze Four Skulls armor and he is able to avoid the ghouls dripping bite.
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
claw2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
The ghoul next to Balthe, swipes its claws, and then goes in to a bite from its drooling, putrid smelling mouth. Each claw sinks deep into Balthe and as he recoils from the sting, the ghoul bites down hard on his neck. You take 15 points of DAM, but you avoided a crit, you need one DC 13 Fort save to avoid contracting a disease from the bite, and 3 DC 11 Fort saves to avoid becoming paralyzed from each of the 3 strikes. Since each hit you, you would need one FORT save from each correct?
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
claw2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
confrim crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Balthe Synder |

DM I never acted, I only took my AOO, I was waiting to know what happened to it, I was going to trip and attack it again

Balthe Synder |

before they acted I would have
Trip: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 8 - 2 = 23
unarmed: 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 7 - 2 + 4 = 19 fo 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
so it shouldn't get 3 attacks unless it attacks from the ground, if it got up
unarmed AOO if it stands: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 4 = 16 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Mesdoram |

So are any still up?

Four Skulls |

DM Cuc I dont think the combat would play like that. Command undead is basically dominate undead, those who fail the save are under the domain of my will. All ghouls that failed it would not attack this round. They are under Four Skulls dominion now. I was waiting to post commands after knowing if any of them had failed the save but they are enslaved since last round. Looking back I probably should have posted everything together, its just one of those things with pbps, sorry :/
Stop and move away now. The oracle commands the undead.
Dont attack those, they are under my domain now. He says to the group.

Mesdoram |

Mesdoram takes a moment and looks at Jasmine.
You know, I'm not usually one to criticize but it's comments like that that put people off. No one really wants to talk about the smell a burning ghoul gives off.
He looks at his other companions warily.
At least I hope they don't.

Jasmine Rose |

Her personality is definitely coming out.
She laughs, "I've smelled and tasted your cooking, I wouldn't complain too much. Besides it is completely different then when I electrocute folks from the inside that's much more of well done steak, rather than that nice char the fire leaves."

Mesdoram |

My cooking is fantastic. You're lucky to find sea cooking like mine outside of a royal yacht.
You really are.
Mesdoram fumes in protest of the scurrilous implication that his cooking is no better or worse than eating a burned corpse.

DM Cuc |

The ghoul that is next to Four Skulls is under his command, the one attacking Balthe is not. Would Jasmine's fire cause the undead to not be under your command Four Skulls? As the one that Jasmine is currently targeting is under you command. Jasmine I will allow a recon of your action if you choose because I was not 100% clear about which one was under Four Skulls command.

DM Cuc |

Jasmine's fire sphere hits the ghoul attacking Balthe taking the full brunt of the fire as it crashes to the ground in a burning lump.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
The only ghoul that is standing is the one that Four Skulls has control over.
The last ghoul slowly starts to back up from Four Skulls staring at him without hissing or biting towards the party.

Mesdoram |

Is Four Skull's ghoul basically unharmed?

Four Skulls |

The ghoul that is next to Four Skulls is under his command, the one attacking Balthe is not. Would Jasmine's fire cause the undead to not be under your command Four Skulls? As the one that Jasmine is currently targeting is under you command. Jasmine I will allow a recon of your action if you choose because I was not 100% clear about which one was under Four Skulls command.
Nothing can break Four Skulls control except other necromancer. What I was saying is that the two ghouls that I commanded didnt attack or provoked last round. They just stayed still and retreated.

Mesdoram |

Mesdoram, slightly distracted by the burning ghoul, tries to pick up the path.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
I wonder where those ghouls came from?
