I completely agree with Sour Heck's take on the game and idea for introducing some new players, however if we can't get some more people (hopefully 5 in total [not counting Iesha] but minimum of 4 [two more]) then it might be best to call it.
Also greetings to Comma. If you are interested in joining, then we would be happy to have you. Are you able to post near-daily?
Another way for new people to join us would be for them to be townsfolk who followed us in hopes of vanquishing the Beast, only to see us beset by Trolls and see we're actually goodly folk...
Hi, all. Sour Heck PM'd me, and as fate would have it, I'm around and might *might* be available, if you wanted me back and if Bold Strider was out. However, I do have some concerns that you might be able to alleviate.
1. It's currently Eloise, Sour Heck, and Iesha from the bunch I had, correct?
2. I'm currently running three games (fresh CC, Kingmaker nearing the end of Book 1, and a homebrew Eberron game). Therefore, I would certainly not be posting daily, or even close. Think somewhere between 3/week and every 3 days. If that's an issue for anyone, I'd much rather not commit to running this again.
3. GM Bold Strider, you mentioned you were considering giving up the reins. Would that mean a role as a player?
For the time being, those are my questions/concerns. As I've said, I'm a busy guy right now, so this isn't a commitment by any means. Think of it more as scoping out the situation.

I truly like Eloise and Sour Heck's dedication to posting, but I just don't really have a great desire to play in another AP at the moment. (Already in a few.)
Iesha posts when she can, but it would be best to proceed in a way that doesn't require or pressure her to post before moving the story along.
Low frequency posts would be fine with me.
So glad to hear people are interested in playing! If I may ask, how did you find out we're looking? We need to enlist at least two players to keep going, so knowing how to reach folks helps.
I think we have to resolve our GM situation before fitting in new players, but do stay tuned!

Quick Update.
I'm still thinking about whether or not this is realistic. While I am, thought, I want to clarify. I'm not interested in running if GM Bold Strider has any intention of staying on as GM.

GM BS is out. GM Aest can't do it. Corerue has offered to GM, but has not yet read the AP.
If Corerue reads the AP and gets excited about running it for us, game on. We can figure out how we want to proceed with adding the new players, etc.
If Corerue declines--and look, Corerue, you should only say yes if it's going to be fun for you--then I think we should call it. After all this time in Ustalav, we should know how awful it can be when something shambles on past its time to die. :)
Let's check in with Corerue in a week or two and see how things stand.

Working on pulling my books out now, seeing if it is something that will work. I assume you are all in the second book correct? Will look through the posts but if I am able to pick this up I will warn you there will be some GM jarring as needed to get myself on track with where and how to proceed.

Sure, lets give it a shot. its different adventure then I am used to but thats fine. I don't know if I will get a chance to ever play Carrion Crown besides that. So you guys are in Book two combating the trolls. Finally caught up to it in the books and I have a ways to go post wise before I catch up in the game posts.
So Expectations.
I will try and post once a day, at the minimum expect it once every 2-3 days. I have a wife and two young boys so sometimes I have to wait until night time to post which is rough. I do run and play in a number of games right now but it usually stays at one post if not less per day in the games I am in.
I won't make demands of my players as RL comes first, I do respectfully ask that if something comes up please let us know so we can NPC you. But if you are not able to we will after 48 hours after the last post involving your character or action to move forward. While NPCed I will normally avoid wasting a character resources unless its expenditure is absolutely necessary or warranteed in the situation.
Was there anything your DM was requiring/hold you all too ruleswise?
I will look at the Loot tracking sheet but I hope someone here/everyone will keep track of it as I am unable to track everything amid all the games. If you guys don't have the time I can try and cook something up. :)
Since I am still gearing up to play this and will have some work to do, this is the time to review your characters and let me know if there is anything you wished to change about your characters. And I mean anything and let me know what classes are missing. You are down two characters correct?
Well... I would like to shift my Teacher's pet-bonus to Knowledge (religion)...
Three of us, I think. Eloise (Magus), Sour Heck (Bard), & Iesha (cleric).
The only change I ever considered with Iesha is (given her being a cleric of Shelyn)would have been Bard levels, but Heck has those covered and there's no sense in diluting her spell access.
I don't really like VMC, but it might be an option, however I do prefer gestalt, though I recognize the issues with that.
Sill, it might be an option for adding classes if we want/need new players.
One more idea:
I only mention it because I feel I owe them that much.
I'm fine with Sour Heck as is. I should point out that all the remaining characters are far from Pathfinder's wealth-by-level.
I'm not aware of any house rules our GMs were using.
We've been thinking that introducing new players in a flashback to Lepidstadt rather than in the middle of the fight with the trolls would make a lot of sense. Basically have our Hawthorn Society do a recruiting drive before we all head to Schloss Caromarc. We're open to other ideas, though.

I am considering the options at the moment and lie of course has me a bit pinned on time so forgive me for the wait haha. Craming Carrion Crown as well which so far the setting is a lot cooler then I originally thought. :)
I will have to petition to take the game under my wing so I have more open control of it. Which I havent done this before so it will take some time.

Eloise studied and now speaks Necril, the language of the Whispering Way, and its constituent languages of Aklo and Osiriani as well. To her, this is to better know and defeat the enemy. Our first DM, DM Corvus, implied there might be a danger there, some price to pay, but nothing has happened -- yet.
Eloise's black blade has not spoken to her at this time. The closest it has come to emoting is growing hot when she came near some town guards. I don't know its Great Purpose yet. I'm curious as to what it might be. ^_^

-Core rules, APG, UM/UC and Inner Sea World Guide. Anything else needs approval.
-2 traits. one from the Carrion Crown player's guide. Please feel free to include Professor Lorrimor (and his daughter if you like) into your backgrounds to whatever degree you like. Be a student of his, be a local admirer of his daughter, whatever.
If Corerue wants to add anything else/change anything, it's up to him.
