1st: Cause Fear (maybe she can scare some of these people away)
2nd: Calm Emotions (again, wants to deflect the innocents)
3rd: Daylight (remove the cover of darkness for their actions)

I appreciate the compliments from folks in this thread, but the fact is this game's kept going because of all the people who put their energy into it...for three years, in Iesha's case. So let's call it a group effort, right?
So sorry, visiting my grandfather was incredibly draining. I'll have a post up in the next several hours, I promise for reals. Also, all of your characters are really cool. I've said a few things specifically about Sour Heck because he consistently makes me laugh, but you all seem to have really strong personalities, and it's been a pleasure GMing for you.
Thanks for the well-wishes. He's 88, and he's made the decision to die of cancer rather than fighting it. I think he's made the right decision, but that doesn't make it any easier.

Got my computer back! Some files are gone, others aren't. Steam is gone, but Inkscape isn't. I've built a map and am populating it with icons now. Post coming soon!

Glad you found it, Peredur. I like this method better because the map's always close by where the action is, but I can certainly link it in the campaign header as well, if you prefer.

My life right now is in a really rough state, and I'm having a ton of trouble focusing on gaming. I spent a few days taking care of my grandpa, who now needs help to transfer from his bed to a wheelchair and back, and it really messed me up.
That being said, I don't feel like it's fair to you guys that I'm inconsistent in my posting. If you wanted to find a different GM, I wouldn't feel badly about it, but I do enjoy this game.
I'm good with waiting. Good luck with your family--I'm dealing with some of that, too, but my mom's in pretty good shape physically even if her short-term memory is really problematic.

Given MY track record, I've no problem with you being somewhat irregular in posting/updating.
I don't mind a slower game. If you're still going to have fun GMing, and if you feel you can still do a good job, please stay.

yeah i'm fine iwth it too. my new job has cut my online time down to a fraction of what it was, so i'm not one to put any pressure on you to keep it up

Primary casters, remember to check whether your spells are subject to Spell Resistance before you fire them at the golem-dog; they won't work! Also remember electricity will only make the golem stronger and faster, SO DON'T USE IT. If you guys can get a Str. buff to Peredur and/or myself, that'd be great; this thing probably has good Damage Reduction, so we need every edge we can get.
I'll be MIA for the next four days due to work.
I'm going to be on vacation for the next couple of weeks, and for at least part of that time will be in a part of the country with inconsistent cell service. I'll try to keep up, but if you need to 'bot me to keep things moving go ahead.

Next round. I thought defense was a preference here.
Not on my spell list, and AFAIK a light spell won't do much if this is magical darkness (though I have seen a fair lot of discussion on the matter on the boards).
I'll leave it to the GM. I considered it, but there was no mention in the description of darkness indicating that it could be countered by light, which is why I went for defense first.
Heck made light of the situation, does that count?

My read was that it's negated by a "light" spell of equal or higher level. I'll have a proper gameplay post up tomorrow, most likely.
I notice that the deflection aura saved Peredur from an axe to the head. His flatfooted AC is 14; the gnome rolled a 15.

I'll be on vacation next week in the high desert of New Mexico, far as I can get from computer screens, so I'll be unlikely to post for ten days after this Friday.
I'll start this off by saying that I'm sorry.
My grandfather died Monday the 20th, and since then I've been very unfocused on my gaming. Additionally, I moved all the way across the country (Colorado to Maine, at least), and am currently job-hunting. Gaming and GMing is a much lower priority than everything else going on in my life, and so it's with a ton of regret that I'm going to drop this game.
I really, really, really hate to do this to you, though, so if you'd like me to open a recruitment thread for a new GM, I'd be happy to. Please let me know what you'd like to do.

Before anything else, please accept my condolences on your loss.
Second, I wish you luck in finding a new job.
