None AFAIK. I think the consensus was to leave it go and hope that Tek returns in the not too horribly distant future.

This dungeon seems to be built around a 4 character party, AFAICT (at least at the early levels). You're running it yourself--what's your take on the power level?

Well, I actually think we'll be fine as is. I trust in players more then archetypes; I was simply floating the thought.

I'll be on vacation next week, but will likely have some time to post. We're keeping it low-key to give Loving Spouse a chance to depressurize from teaching. Unfortunately, I've been sandbagged at work preparing for being gone--my job is the kind where work just piles up when you're gone because there's no one else who can do it all, and there are more than a few time-critical items on the horizon. Gotta love it when two different batches of auditors come calling in a month....

Soooo... I don't have a long term plan for the conversation. I didn't mean to drag this into the weeds. Don't mean to meta, but Nuria doesnt like this guy.

So, vacation has turned out to be busier than expected, although the terracotta soldiers exhibit at the Field Museum was great and the replica Bayeux Tapestry exhibit near where our daughter works was likewise pretty cool. (The driving between all of those places, not so much.)

Back home, and hoping to catch up a bit tomorrow. Driving in whiteout conditions with gusty crosswinds is no fun, particularly since I was driving a small sedan and sharing the road with lots of trucks.

Hey guys, sorry for my slowed posting of late. I'm part of a small start-up, and we're working on rolling out our product to an early client... so it's been (and is going to be) a busy few weeks.

I'm trying to keep up, but my schedule is preventing the kind of immersive interaction that is my preferred engagement level; just want you all to know that it's not you. ;)

With that said, if I'm holding things up, please NPC me. I'm trying to post regularly, but I may miss a day or even (horrors!) two.

I have no problem with you skipping the rest of this level for now and moving on to the next; I won't give you a chronicle sheet for the level yet (which may mean that you get two chronicles at once, but there it is).

Just so it won't be a surprise, consider that for him this is a win/win: either you die on the next level (unlikely), or you come back up weakened by the fight and will thus be easier to deal with.

Nothing more forthcoming from me for the rest of the day, unfortunately, as I left my flash drive with all my gaming files on it at home.

I think we should just take him out now, I don't think he'll give us any more information.

I've got a wedding to attend this weekend (heading out tomorrow around midday). It shouldn't actually interfere with my evening posting schedule... but wanted to let you guys know, just in case.

So, yeah, I made friends with the bad wizard. I'm not really finding him that fun to talk to, and he's not giving us the tour I was hoping for. So I've got another question or two for him, but I won't object if someone wants to bop him.

Releasing the prisoners would probably be a good way to trigger the encounter (for the third time). =P

Sneaking past the undines, now that would have been a grand idea.

See, that's one of the things that drives me up the wall about this dungeon. Jharun's a Conjurer/4, and Tiawask is an Illusionist/5--and the two of them managed to get down to the 6th level of this place without any apparent effect on any of the things you fought. I know, I'm expecting things to make sense, and at least this isn't like that room in Thornkeep that's actually too small for what's supposedly in it. But still.

My biggest peeve is super-specialized, one trick wonders. How do you function in the rest of the world?

Although, some pcs are guilty of that too.

As a rule, though, those PCs can rely on a party. The one-hit wonder solo boss, not so much.

Any of you possibly interested in Age of Worms? I've been playing in an AoW campaign on the boards that's been running for close to 4 1/2 years. We're halfway through (just finished Part 6), we're 12th level, and the party paladin's player has decided to quit PbP cold turkey. The GM asked us to look around for a replacement, so let me know.

I'm already in another longish running AoW game otherwise I'd be interested.

Apologies; I'm feeling under the weather atm. At least the room isn't spinning quite so wildly when I stand up. And I don't even have the excuse of a good party.
