I remember the post about access issues, which was why I wasn't agitating for another replacement. Good to have you back with us, and congrats on the job!

As a side note, with it being so quiet around here (no TV or internet), I've actually been out of political/religious arguments for quite a while, and the quietness in that regard has really allowed me to "make up my mind" about some of the things I've been having a difficult time developing into a fully developed paradigm.

Cool. Without a war-trained horse Bea wasn't going to get close enough to attack this round anyway, so I just set her up so she could charge the pig next round.

DM Carbide |

Adam: Busy is good, even when it leaves you without a lot of time (a situation I anticipate for the next few days, at least). Havrin: Glad to hear things seem to be getting better. This is a bad time of year for that sort of thing; my wife is a high school teacher, and invariably brings home a cocktail of viruses when the semester starts and she gets exposed to many students.

Havrin Stahl |

My apologies, everyone. For the past week I've been battling what's turned out to be a case of pneumonia, and this is the first that I've felt well enough to even sit upright and turn on the computer. Can't guarantee much posting in the next several days - very low energy and meds that may start making me feel even worse in different ways (yuck!). I'll try to keep up, but right now I'm going to lay back down. Feel free to 'bot Havrin if need be. Thanks!

DM Carbide |

Good grief. That sucks; the worst I ever had was walking pneumonia, and it was months before I really got over it.

DM Carbide |

Hih--I was sure I had a post here from a few days ago, asking after Bea, Adam, and Katya. Glad you're feeling better, Havrin.

DM Carbide |

I'd rather not 'bot more than one or two PCs at once, but I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

Katya Volkv |

I'm still here, sorry, I didn't realize everyone could post their actions. I was waiting for my turn to come around. I'll put up a post in a few minutes.

DM Carbide |

I knew Adam had been having his time eaten by his job, and I just now found out that Bea has been sandbagged by RL in a very big way and would like to get back, but isn't sure when. Rather than let this fade I'll do what I can to keep it moving (esp. since you're just about done with Part 1). Sorry I haven't gotten on this sooner.

DM Carbide |

Havrin? Back with us?

Havrin Stahl |

Sorry for the absence, folks. I've had some health issues for the past few weeks that prompted multiple trips to the hospital for tests (October's been a bad month - first the pneumonia and now some mystery illness). So far everything's come up inconclusive, but it's been pretty stressful nevertheless. Today is the best I've felt in three weeks, so hopefully whatever I've got is on the mend. Should be back to regular posting now (fingers crossed!).

DM Carbide |

Glad to hear you're doing better.

DM Carbide |

Tell me about it ;-). Some of us were already gaming when AD&D 1e came out.

DM Carbide |

No, right on time.
(You're up, btw.)

DM Carbide |

Still puttering along on life support; Bea hasn't resurfaced, and 'botting two PCs is a bit much. Good to have you back!

DM Carbide |

I had a PM exchange with someone who knows the player outside of the boards:
He's alive, but really swamped with RL at the moment. I know he cares a lot about that game, so I think if it's possible to NPC him for now to keep it moving (and keep it from dying), that'd probably be best.
I /think/ he'll be back, but I'm not sure exactly when.

Adam Burlevogne |

Yes, same here. This is one of the few games I'm actually enjoying.
This one. A Carrion Crown game, and that Wicked adventure path for evil characters. They are my favorites. I was having a lot of fun with the Crimson Throne path, but the drama/conflicts between the paladin and my roguish fighter put a damper on things. It was sometimes fun, but emotionally draining at the same time.
EDIT: Note that Adam and Bea are also a Paladin/Roguish character combination, but there's hardly any drama at all. Bea is a much more graceful paladin than the other one I'm used to. But it might be a religious difference. The paladin I had the most trouble with is one of Iomedae, and Bea's of Erastil.

DM Carbide |

Thank you. Though I don't know if that's because it's an excellent AP that still shines through my attempts to smother it under a sea of non sequiturs, so I won't get too much of a swelled head :-).

DM Carbide |

No need to apologize, and as Adam said take your time. I think we all have a lot of other commitments this time of year. My condolences.

DM Carbide |

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays of whatever sort you may choose to celebrate! I hope that the coming year treats all of you better than this one may have.

DM Carbide |

Good to see you back, Havrin! When you get the chance, you're up in the round.

DM Carbide |

Havrin and Katya, you still around?

DM Carbide |

Was waiting until I heard from Havrin. Still not sure what happened to Count Buggula.

DM Carbide |

It's a tough call; I don't like DMPCing your two top melee characters so it'd be good to get replacements, but OTOH you're just before the last big push, so I'm not sure about bringing in two new faces this late in the AP part. OTOOH, there are probably a lot of people whose KM games faded out before they got this far. What does everyone else think?
