Nope. I still need to finish catching up, though.
DM Carbide
Getting there--I should have something up in the next day or so.
DM Carbide
You may want to take a turn off to do some exploring around the Tuskwater.
DM Carbide
I put a link to Katya's kingdom sheet in the Campaign header. Thanks again for putting that together, Katya.
Vasily Lyesnayevich
If we get a wand of Cure, Vasily can act as a backup healer. Since he's ranged instead of melee he's probably a better candidate for the role than Bea.
Bea
Agreed. Most of my lay on hand uses will likely go to myself during combat since I can do it as a swift action.
Carbide, if possible, I'd like to purchase a set of +1 Full Plate and enchant my masterwork greatsword to +1. That should leave me with 1763 GP if we're using standard prices.
DM Carbide
Sure, plenty of time to order that from Brevoy. It'll be a bit before your kingdom has the talent to make that locally.
DM Carbide
Anyone else going to buy anything before you leave?
DM Carbide
No problem. Anyone else?
Katya Volkv
Katya just wants a headband of vast intelligence filled with Knowledge (Geography). :)
DM Carbide
Correct; you have your starting equipment, which should be roughly comparable in value to what the other PCs have. (And you may end up with the Stag Lord's helm, at any rate.)
DM Carbide
Nope. Hmmm.... (counts on fingers) That's all of you, then. I'd better get a game post together.
DM Carbide
I'll be out of town most of this weekend; thought I'd have a chance to post today, but was mostly being domestic.
Bea
So yeah, power attack should be 2d6+11. I have no idea where the extra +1 came from, but I do most of my character building through pcGen so it's likely there was a glitch in the power attack calculation there that I didn't catch. I've corrected it on my sheet - good catch, Carbide.
DM Carbide
How goes the move? I hope you don't mind my botting you through the second attack w/o waiting as long; I wasn't sure when you'd be back on the boards, and I didn't want to wait another few days. (Besides, I knew that if Bea hit it her minimum damage would take it down.)
Katya Volkv
Hey guys, just wanted to let everybody know that I wont be posting again until this Friday. Heading out for camping so no Internet. :)
DM Carbide
Try not to get eaten by bears ;-).
DM Carbide
I'm sorry about that, Zlotii. I feel really badly that you essentially died of rotten luck--although I did say that wyvern poison was nasty stuff. Do you want to set up another healer?
Katya Volkv
That was an incredibly bad series of unlucky rolls. I'm sorry Zlotii died, he was a very interesting character to play with. :) I'm sure you'll be able to come up with something just as interesting again!
Vasily Lyesnayevich
Holy crap. Those dice really, really wanted Zlotii dead. That sucks. I will be interested to see what you come up with as a replacement.
Not to be the guy who reminds the teacher we were supposed to have a test, but it's been really nice of Mr. Wyvern to let us try to save the Dok totally unmolested. ;)
DM Carbide
Good point, Vasily. Here's why it didn't press the attack. When I rolled the wyvern encounter, its starting hostility level wasn't very high, which I justified by assuming 1) it wasn't that hungry, and 2) this wasn't its territory. Then you all fluffed the Diplomacy rolls and it attacked. In two rounds of combat, you took it down by over a third of its HP, and by then Bea was not only larger but had healed herself. It's at that point that the "not my territory" consideration kicks in. Wyverns don't tend to get along with each other, so even though it had a reasonable shot at taking one or two more of you down the damage you did to it in the meantime would have left it vulnerable to any other tough creature that happens along. If it had managed to poison Bea on its initial attack (the sting missed her by 1!), it might have decided to come back after a round or two; if Katya hadn't put up the obscuring mist, it might have tried to tag her on the way out. You guys just weren't worth the grief. Wyverns might not be smart, but they are cunning.
DM Carbide
Start at 4th level, standard WBL, max HP at first level, and however I had you generate your HP before. I'm working from my phone, so I'm not able to look it up now.

Also, use the fractional BAB optional rule for multiclass characters.

A little more detail on HP, having just looked it up. Roll normally, but if you get less than (half die + 1), take (half die + 1).
Vasily Lyesnayevich
Wouldn't that put him at odds with the Charter holders, since they're here to reclaim lands the Swordlords feel were stolen from them?
Also, someone should bring up splitting up Zlotii's gear IC. Vasily hasn't been around long enough to be comfortable suggesting it to the Dok's long-time companions.
DM Carbide
Nice job on the eulogy, Bea.
I looked over the Fitcher and didn't notice anything out of whack. The Pioneer campaign trait is reasonable--lots of people have been through here at one time or another. It might be amusing, though, if Great-great-great grandpa's memory was a little off, so the familial homelands are actually somewhere else :-).
DM Carbide
I'll get the introduction up soon. Once that's done, do you want to get back to exploring, or run another kingdom turn?
DM Carbide
I think you have the option to annex a contiguous explored hex.
